Tough call but Gish. Billy actually sings great on this one and it also offers some of his best guitar work. I Am One, Tristessa, Bury Me, Siva, Window Paine---- some serious metal here. Gish, Ritual de Habitual, and OK Computer (in that order) were my fav albums of the early nineties. Living in Chicago I have seen the Pumpkins close to 20 times. I also saw them open up for GNR in Chicago 92 (The show where GNR played Coma). Now that was a killer show-----nobody knew who the Pumpkins were and pretty much booed them the whole time. Except for me who was screaming Billy!!!! at the top of my lungs----They were a surprise opening act and I didn't even know they were playing

get siamese dream, mellon collie may well be better but its a very hard album to get into being 28 tracks and all

Track down Siamese Dream, for 'tis the typical entry point for the uninitiated prospective SP fan chappie. To be honest, as evidenced by my opinion presented for your ocular enjoyment below, you can't go wrong with one of their first three albums; barring a handful of tracks, everything they've put their name to post-1994 is unlistenable toss.

Pisces Iscariot is my fave, with Gish and Siamese Dream jostling for the much coveted position of second place.

One of my top three songs of all time, but it's from SD. I can't see how anyone could vote for any album other than SD. It's such a no-brainer.
