DirtyDeeds
Seriously, I love how he's constantly re-inventing his own sounds and other classics. I mean, listen to his versions of "Hey Joe," or "Darkness Darkness." Go listen to the Hendrix (I know he's not the guy that wrote it) version for Hey Joe, and listen to Mott the Hoople's version for "Darkness, Darkness." Genius. He might as well have written these songs. And for one of his own songs, listen to how he's re-done "Black Dog" for example, and the 4 or 5 versions of "No Quarter" he's done. There are only two people in rock I would characerize as true musical geniuses. One would be Roger Waters, and the other is definitely Robert Plant. Plant just keeps getting better and better! Other rock musicians are great at their own craft (Eddie Van Halen was a great guitar player), but few match the all-around creativity and genius of Robert Plant on the song and its concept as a whole. kevin
I was never much of a Zepplin fan so obviously I don't have much knowledge on what plant specifically has done. But I agree with Roger Waters! Roger Waters is amazing..

DoubleTalkinJive
The new version of Black Dog blows. The riff has lost its power and that double tapping shit sucks.
murray_TH
I've never been a great fan of his solo stuff, but I recently got hold of Plant's newest album Mighty Rearranger. "Shine it all around" is a great track.
