LCG
Avoid stuff from the 80s like Poison, Whitesnake and stuff like that.Yeah avoid Poison. Although I like Whitesnake, their (late) 70s material is good imo though.

neatd99
Try Boston, Cheap Trick, Deep Purple, Foreigner (maybe), Lynyrd Skynyrd, Nazareth (where Axl gets his rasp), Saxon (maybe, they are metal so they're heavier but I think Alice Cooper influenced them), ZZ Top. To Yami - also Thin Lizzy if you're not already into them.gnrrulz's list is pretty good, minus Oasis....they're alright like but....hmmIf you like great riffs like Zeppelin, try some Black Sabbath (also if you aren't already into them)Motorhead. And you should check out some songs that Motorhead did with Girlschool eg. Please Don't Touch

Yamisonic
Black Sabbath is one of my all-time favourite bands, I didn't put them as examples because I don't want people giving me metal bands. I don't really like any metal except for Sabbath and Maiden. What are cool Thin Lizzy songs? And more 70's Aerosmith, what are cool songs?
