This could be a real treat. Reviews have been spectacular. Sounds like what I hoped it would be, a Cale record with Eric showing up occasionally, not a highly Clapton-ized affair, which would've fucked it up real good.

Could be a really great collaboration.

EDIT: IT HAS LEAKED! FUCK YEAH! I'll still buy it of course but no way in hell am I gonna not listen to it now!

Listening to it now. It's fantastic! J.J obviously wrote most of the songs. I feared that there would be some pop production on it but it's still the rootsy country blues he always specialized in.

BTW, as far as I can hear J.J. proves his guitar skills here, and outplays Eric on most, if not all the tracks. This is such a fucking great album. I hope they release it on vinyl. This one's a real keeper, shuffling boogie beats, rootsy Country Blues guitar, Cale's dusty voice... Wow. Just Wow. J.J's best album in years!

"Dead End Road" & "Ride the River" = INSTANT CLASSICS.
