frankwhite Posted May 7, 2007 Share Posted May 7, 2007 i dont see the point in music biopics, they all turn out crappy and the "real" fans (whatever that means) can see the glaring amounts of bullshit in them and worse than that people watch these pieces of shit and think that this is how shit went down when it aint. like the leadbelly movie for instances, half of the stuff in his life was all rumor anyway and the movie just amplified that. same with the Doors, 90% of the dialogue of which is stolen from Jims writing and tons of it is just WILDLY inaccurate, he never quit film school, he never dived into the crowd and ran around the audience while singing 'dead cats, dead rats' in Miami and that semi-riot they ennact never happened, its just pure sensationalist bullshit. having said that i dont two shits about Queen so there ya go, still dont think they should be misrepresented, least of all by a comedian whoose fame is predicated on a character who makes it OK for the middle classes to laugh at what they percieve to be 'black culture'.
