worldwideboss
Is there any other rock song with so many words per line? The original version rocks so much, though.
Axl&SlashRhot
i used to LOVE this song... the lyrics confused me and I do believe I sing the words anyhow... I just kinda make them up as I go...

DirtyDeeds
Manfred Man is way better.I guess I have a personal disliking toward Bruce Springsteen though.
worldwideboss
Manfred Man is way better.I guess I have a personal disliking toward Bruce Springsteen though.I hate Manfred Mann's cover. It departed too much from the original, in my opinion, and lost that edge that the original had.But then again, what you said about Springsteen would apply to me concerning Manfred Mann. DirtyDeeds
Bruce Springsteen's had no edge! Manfred Man saved some mediocre lyrics from the certain death of being embodied in a crappy song. Manfred Man basically rewrote the song, but kept the lyrics. I don't know, but Manfred Man's is pretty rocking, and Springsteen's = ZZZZzzzzZZZZzzzz like usual. worldwideboss
Are you kidding me? That song is pure fun and the lyrics are a rhyming experiment! Manfred Mann's version completely lost the fast-singing part, which was what made the song.
