I watched ACDC songs and Don't cry - and if rest of show was on that level - well, that was one great rock concert.

Ooohh they could do Let There Be Rock with Slash and Angus trading solos! That would be epic!
That could be potential longest guitar solo ever, and could result with FF death - couse he's not Phill Rudd
or even Chris Slade

Great move for Gaga
not so good for Metallica... but they sure don't care and their career won't suffer...
Would be great surprise if they perform Gaga song

I rode my bike down Sunset Blvd. yesterday in West Hollywood, I found out the billboard and this is what I can say, the billboard is one block away Tower Records (the building that used to be), it means, 2 long blocks and a half away from Whisky a Go Go, and little bit further from Roxy, Rainbow and the former Geffen Records building, way far from Troubadour (2 miles maybe), The position of the billboard isn't the best, there are hundreds of billboards all around super visibles, this one is on top of a building in a difficult angle to see, I mean, is visible, but it's not one that you will hit your face with, I read about the comparison between the cover of the brazilian promotional vinyl and the billboard design, I won't say it's a hint, now in Brazil, they are "fighting" with the rumors about Guns N' Roses in Rock in Rio 2017, some people confirmed the band will be playing but the Rock in Rio organization still denying any confirmation furiously, then, the So Fine promotional vinyl is all abut the Use Your Illusion Tour gigs that they played on December 1992, not the first two that they played in 1991 during Rock in Rio 91 when they didn't even played So Fine.
It's kind of stupid that the billboard its about playing or not in Rock in Rio 2017 (why the hell should they pay for advertising in LA?)
My bet is that maybe, if they play in the LA area soon, like the billboard suggest, they could play new music from an incoming album, just like they did in Rock in Rio 1991, when they played alive for the first time songs from the UYI's (except Civil War that they played at the Farm Aid) when the UYI's weren't even released. I think that because, let's be honest, I can't figure out how I felt if I pay to see the same show again, not just me but all the people who will pay (for sure).
Or, a new setlist (more Use Your Illusion's songs as the billboard suggest too)
This is some deep GNR CSI ...

Yup, another setlist thread
They're playing markets in North America this summer that are pretty close to the ones they played last summer. A total overhaul of the setlist isn't gonna happen, but who else wants them to bring back an acoustic mini-set? It'd give them a reason to play Patience earlier and Don't Cry in the encore, instead of alternating them, and they could add a couple songs in permanently (Used To Love Her would be a staple, they could add You Ain't The First and You're Crazy, maybe even do an acoustic Catcher In The Rye like in 2010). As great as the shows I saw last year were, I'd be kinda bummed if the ones I'm seeing this year are the exact same.
A setlist like this would be perfect:
It's So Easy
Mr Brownstone
Chinese Democracy
Welcome To The Jungle
Live And Let Die
Attitude
Rocket Queen
Double Talking Jive / extended solo
-------
Patience
You Ain't The First
Used To Love Her
You're Crazy -or- Catcher In The Rye (depending on how raspy Axl feels like singing)
Knockin On Heavens Door
-------
Coma -or- Locomotive
Out Ta Get Me
Yesterdays
November Rain
You Could Be Mine
My Michelle
I.R.S.
Godfather / Blues Jam / Sweet Child O' Mine
Nightrain
Don't Cry
Estranged
Paradise CityReplace Better with I.R.S., make This I Love an alternate song, and they could throw in something different every now and then like Nice Boys, Street of Dreams, There Was A Time, or any UYI deep cut on top of that setlist and it would be fucking epic.
They could easily keep the core of the setlist the same to satisfy the people just there to hear the hits, while changing it up enough that people like us who follow the tour and go to multiple shows don't get the same show we saw last year.
One big black hole in that setlist: Where is The Fuckin' Seeker?

Double nostalgia tour?

Stones for sure...
And "relevant music" argument? What is so relevant with post Vertigo U2?

Before NITL started, almost everybody said that there is no way for that big stadium tour with that prices in NA, and we have now a second leg
I think Metallica will do Arena/Stadium combo, and with "nothing before fall in Europe" - arenas only here scenario...

So you'd rather have just the original 5 playing AFD songs and abandoning all of their post Appetite stuff like November Rain, Estranged etc. and their more ambitious material? And if they were to release new music you wouldn't want Richard, Dizzy, Frank and Melissa involved at all?
I'm sure a lot of people's answer would be yes and I can see why but I'd actually prefer them to progress and not repeat something that can't be replicated.
So, new music from this GNR would involve Rihanna's guitar player and Taylor Swift producer? Wow!
I'll wait for Steve n Izzy...

Yeah I find it strange as well that there's no tour announced yet? Must be James or Lars isn't feeling it or something?
well, when they announced Copenhagen they said that those are only dates in Europe before autumn... Don't know about NA and rest of the World. Also there was rumor that they won't have more than 50 dates in one year.
Small hope for minor markets like Croatia
