  1. Which is why it makes all the sense in the world for Miami to be the time and place. It's something every other band in the world would do if they were in GN'R's position.
  2. Completely hypothetical question, but if they do play something new (big IF, obviously), is there any chance it could be something other than Hard School? If so, what?
  3. The "New Album" Thread

Heck, I’d say music audience in general. When the reunion was first announced, everyone and their grandma took notice of it, rock fan or not. I can see the same applying with new music. If for no other reason than sheer curiosity, the average music fan will be interested enough to give it a listen.
  4. The "New Album" Thread

I showed this comment to a friend of mine, and he said we belong in the loony bin.
  5. The "New Album" Thread

Slash HAD to know how stupid he’d sound saying that, and the reaction it would get from people. Like someone said in here earlier, it almost seems too incredulous to be real. Almost to the point that I believe he said it intentionally to get this reaction, so as to make the surprise of a single/album even bigger since we’ve all got our hopes down (and yet...I still consider myself one of the more optimistic ones, ha). Probably not, but I’m honestly just so baffled by his comments that I can’t seem to comprehend otherwise.
  6. Saw that too. It’s pretty funny that a couple of days we have that “f’n” discussion here, they suddenly use the whole word. I wonder why, though? Obviously it was intentional. I don’t know the last time they didn’t use f’n and why they decided to type it all out now. (Yes, I realize I’m probably way overthinking a social media post).
  7. It really is incredible; the decisions that are and are not made in this band, lol.
  8. I mean hey, at least there will be movement! (grasping at straws here, lol)
  9. It feels like the 31st is dragging ass to get here. We’ve known about this performance for awhile, and have been constantly speculating on what could or could not happen. I just want the damn thing to happen already so we can know where we’re headed for the rest of the year.
  10. I’m sure the band is aware of this. The Super Bowl is an all day event. People will have their televisions on the channel hours before the game itself. I’m sure Axl is mindful enough to know that means millions of viewers. Surely...surely he’ll bring his A game (and maybe a new song while he’s at it).
  11. RIP Neil Peart

What a huge loss. He’s one of the best to sit behind the kit. What a sad day. RIP Neil Peart, and thank you.
  12. The "New Album" Thread

25 pages on a thread just created a month ago regarding an album that as of this moment does not exist to the public. I *hate this band. *hate that I absolutely love
  13. I probably already know the answer to this question, but is there any chance something is mentioned before the day of the show? Obviously they’re going to promote the show itself, but something that may entice last minute ticket sales? Sort of like, hey, if you haven’t gotten your ticket to this yet, you might want too. *wink wink*
  14. The "New Album" Thread

For a (stark) comparison, John Frusciante returned to the RHCP and within the first month of his return, Chad Smith has already confirmed they’re working on a new record with him. You know, normal band things.
  15. The "New Album" Thread

Well, I was going to say that I missed all the fun, but it doesn’t look like I missed anything at all.
  16. Doesn’t Jarmo run the GN’R social media? It’s just his attempt at engaging with the fanbase. I doubt there’s anything to see here.
  17. The "New Album" Thread

So...basically everything we already know as far as rumors go? I really don’t have anything against these “insiders”, but unless they speak with Axl himself, they know as much as we do. I guess on the bright side, when things like this are said, it gives us something to talk about in the interim, lol.
  18. Hey guys, so at this point this story is months old, but it finally hit TMZ, and a "rep" for the band (we all know who), released a statement on it. Link is below. https://www.tmz.com/2020/01/02/guns-n-roses-pissed-superfan-leaked-music-leak/
  19. Books/Reading Thread

I’m really big into autobiographies, specifically of those in the music industry, or really anyone I am a fan of, or see in a positive light. Usually they do a good job of promoting them, so I am always on the lookout for those releases. I tend to go on an author kick as well where once I finish one book, I’ll go ahead and see what else they have to offer. Finally, it’s just what I find myself really in the mood for. Kind of like what you mentioned with your theme. I’ll read different topics from different authors on said theme until I tire myself out on it haha.
  20. All studio albums, tickets for 5 NITL shows + a lithograph for one of those shows and a shirt for one of those shows, Slash, Duff, and Steven's books, and a few t-shirts from local clothing stores. And yet...I'd happily spend a little more on some new music.
  21. Not a new show by any means, but I've been watching That 70's Show a lot recently. Can't believe it took me this long to give it a try. Absolutely fantastic. I want to own just about every one of Steven Hyde's t-shirts.
  22. Books/Reading Thread

Question for all you bookworms out there: I'm an avid reader myself; I can read just about anything and everything. With that being said, how do you all decide on which book to read next? If I go into a library/bookstore, I think to myself, "If I had the time and money, I'd read everything available in here." But of course it simply doesn't work that way. So how do you all go about deciding which specific book you're going to read next?
