  1. I hope Rockfuel sees this thread, I'm still waiting on their 'book' they are going to write about dealing with Gn'R (or more specifically... their management)...

If the rumour is true, Team Brazil releasing this caused Axl to fire Beta, and Rockfuels comment about the 'genius' manager...

    1+1 = TB?

    What's the common denominator here?

I imagine Rockfuel knows already. I posted this information like a week ago in the DVD thread, and asked Rockfuel if they had any information on it. Unfortunately my post was deleted without comment. The moderation here is getting more and more Nazi-like by the day. Now the moderators are finally allowing us to talk about it, I suppose I was right in posting it.

  2. Saw GNR live in Vegas on November 21, 2012, Saw the concert in the theatre and have the dvd and ordered a blue ray for my son.

This show is just amazing. Showcases all the band giving their all. If you're a fan of GNR, this is a must have for your collection.

DJ Ashba, Bumblefoot and Richard are 3 of the most talented guitar players ever. Axl chose well.

Tommy, Dizzy and Frank round out a great band. It's great to see this band live onstage having fun and playing all the GNR songs very well.

Axl is Axl. he gives his all, all the time. You can tell he's also having fun onstage and full of energy and that makes the crowd give their energy right back.

Honestly, if some of you don't approve of the musicians in GNR now, why bother to come on here and continue to bitch about it?

No one is forcing you here and no one is forcing you to buy this dvd. You're the ones missing out on a great show.

The thread is titled "will you buy it." Don't get all pissy when people answer the fucking question. If you can't handle other opinions, don't read the thread. We realize no one is forcing us to buy the DVD - did anyone say that? Further, no one is bitching about how they don't approve of the musicians. So get your panties out of a bunch babe.

  3. ^i

    I have no clue...

First of all, I don't owe a DVD player. As for a digital copy, I dont feel motivated to have such a boring thing in my tablet or puter. And in general, the show doesn't motivate me at all! There aren't songs that attract me, it's the same old shit.

I'm a fan of the Tokyo '92 show because it had Estranged, which was a song they hardly played back in the day. But this show is an average concert of classics I'm fed up with. And very few ChinDem tracks.

I pretty much agree with this. I do want new music from GNR, but I'm bored to death with what they've been doing over and over and over and over for the last decade plus.

  4. Am I the only one disappointed by the Chinese Democracy video? It's completely fake and cheesy... audience noise drowning out the music (LOL), mother goose looking like a clown, Axl trying to shuffle around like an idiot, bumble and DJ trying to be all dramatic in 3D, etc. etc. etc. Plus, the sound isn't great at all. Axl sounds terrible and there seem to be guitars etc. missing from various parts.

Definitely won't be buying this release.

  5. i'm meaning what i've said: on tv/dvd stand alone player you wont have to suffer from those lines that much - as i've verifed that a couple of times already.

on computer (and maybe other devices) you will.

those lines aint sourced from a bad capture but from a sharpness filer i've used afterwards. yes, the filter does alter the original video a little, and yes....on other devices/computer some horizontal lines might pop up here and there. but on the other hand the more sharpen image gives so nice more little details from our 5 AFD boys that i've decided to use this filter. no other version has this sharpness IMO.

    Whatever you say bud LOL

  6. those horizontal lines aint to be seen on tv/stand alone that hard.

Not sure exactly what you're trying to say here. Is your point that you won't see the lines on a real TV? Because you most certainly will. This is a common problem when working with old analog video and there are ways to fix it. If you don't know what you're doing, then you should work with someone who does. It would be better to fix see issues during the capture from the VHS rather than someone else doing it with your capture.

  7. if you want the audio, the digital version with the "soundtrack" is what you can get without "stealing/ripping" the audio off somewhere that is not authorized. You can play the digital soundtrack on any device, ipod, home stereo, etc..so why talk about stealing it instead of a simple purchase

You can legally possess an audio copy of a video you own, why would anyone buy it twice so they can stream it on their phone? Way better to just download the files. No offense, but it's reasons like this that your industry is dying. If you for whatever reason don't want people downloading the tracks, you should offer an mp3 download when people purchase the performance the first time. People shouldn't have to pay twice.
