madagascar we're talking about original members and dizzy is not. but if you want to know it's because dizzy is a hired gun with no particularly noticable talent. he's a good musician but nothing more than that.. he's not a keyboard genius. he is just paid to do his job and i doubt if he would find a better paid job than in guns n roses because obviously other big bands wouldn't choose him from a wide range of keyboard players that exist today. after all when you think of gnr in your subconcience do you include dizzy ? or do you think it something like GNR + Dizzy who's there just to do some additional job ?

ghostface yes owning the rights of the name gives you the ability to fire bandmates... of course he didn't do this but if you read the facts you'll know why they left: because he drove them to leave.

IZZY: Axl (one of his best friends supposedly btw) tried to cut down on his rights and income. how would you feel if your best friend tried to do this to you ? i would feel estranged ,and when you feel estranged you just leave. so : Izzy-Axl:1-0

STEVEN: Ok this guy's fault was all his and the rest of the band was right when they fired him. So GNR(not just axl)-Steven=1-0

SLASH: Axl threatened him to leave the band unless he passed the name rights to him. Can you be in the same band with a person like this ? Slash ,however did... Then he brings tobias in when he can't play better than slash's little finger. Isn't the lead guitarists job to choose his partner ? why does axl drop in where he shouldn't ? And third , musical differences: ok this is something noone can be blamed for. every member can have his own opinion. So Slash-Axl=1-0

DUFF: Duff also was threatened in order to pass the rights. Plus he didn't leave until 98 if you know the history. which means he was there for axl ,but he had to encounter a frontman who didn't want to do his job, which is to make music. 91 was uyi (tsp doesn't really count) and it's 98 and you haven't got one original single... what do you expect from a musician ? to wait for his frontman for 7 years to let him release a record ? would you stay and see your life and career be destroyed ? plus axl doesn't really accuse duff if you heard his recent rant.. so Duff-Axl=1-0.

And what is axl's argument ??? i mean what it really is, not just "slash always lies and duff always follows him". Give us an example... tell us what happened that night when you broke up (if it happened this way). He doesn't .. why ? if he's right he shouldn't be afraid to tell and keep saying undefined things... at least we can see the other guys reasons .. what is yours ? "they abondonded him..." - but of course they abandoned him... you can see why in the above lines. Why did 3 people abandon him ? isn't it more possible that when 3 people are against one they are the ones who have right ? also the old guys are always willing to reunite. he's the problem and of course they can't ask him unless he shows that he wants it. that's all.   going to the university ..

madagascar is the only really good song of all he has sung until know. it's not quite a ballad, it sounds very sophisticated ,like he's put all the wisdom he has gathered during these years in it. Chinese democracy is ok, but not up to gnr hard rock standards. it's very simple to be gnr... the blues.. hm.. i know many of you here love this song but i don't think it's the kind of song that will stand the test of time. it's kinda "yesterdays", very sappy music ... it WILL do a hit among girl population mostly for a short time but then noone except us will remember it ... and it can also be the reason why people might get laughing at gnr. they will say "gnr rock ? haha sure aerosmith too ... they write the same stuff". that's what i think anyways...

i don't know if he's singing better than before, but at least he must be warming his voice up before the shows now.. i've read in an interview when he said that he had to warm up his voice before a show since 1988 or something like that ,so it must have been a reason why he used to sing so bad the last years of guns n roses... as for the studio versions i'm sure the singing is ok, it always was,after all they can correct any vulnerabilities in the studio gauda what makes you think cd will oversale afd ? are you willing to bet 2000$ on it with me ? just as much as i need to take a new electric and an amp i've wanted for a long long time

i'm not upset.. i just want some respect for one of the five men who braught to us appetite ,illussions and all that great music. if it wasn't him it wouldn't have sounded that way in the first place and i think it's called ungratefullness to nullify his contribution after all those years that have passed and to praise a man who hasn't done nothing for gnr at least yet. It's so easy by itself is a great contribution to rock history and there's much more duff has done beyond it, i just say an example.

ghostface i think the title is very important for an album. consider black crowe's "The Southern Harmony & Musical Companion". Classic album but people laugh when the hear the title

anow let me tell you something. look what songs duff did and the ones tommy did. there must be a reason for this and it's not only that duff cooperated with slash and izzy and axl who are great musicians too because he put his own thing in their sound too. and if anyone thinks duff was a bad player then he takes something from gnr. and something more. i know things about music and i don't think tommy is better than duff. he is just sober. when duff was also sober he could outplay tommy for fun. and who said something bout just copying the guitar lines? yes this is done sometimes but overplaying in rhythm sections is not good either. the song must get the bass lines or the drumming that fits with it even if it the simplest one. it's not a matter of showing off your talent but sounding good. and taste is what makes a great player rather than technique.

hm.. ok don't keep the new one but please just don't show that star to anyone. they could find a new logo a hundred times better than that one.

i think both the logo and the new font sucks... why don't they just keep the old one. it was great and i have grown up with it. oh.. and please don't put the american flag in the logo. i don't have anything with any country and i will still buy the album if that would be the case and i would still love gnr of course ,but rock is supposed to be a value which is over nations and discriminations. why spoil this ?
