VR by far! I'm not sure I'd even go to Crue if I got free tickets... on second thought, I would....
-
I've been listening to Live Era a couple of hours a day as far as I can remember...
I never get tired of listening to Yesterdays and Patience..
-
Some of my favs in no order:
Pulp Fiction
Reservoir Dogs
I Am Sam
The Matrix
Forest Gump
-
At the moment..... Definitely Zak Starkey!
-
According to www.PeteTownshend.co.uk, the Who's new album has been delayed. The biggest factor to this? Zakk Starky is now in Oasis. Fuck. I hate Oasis anyway. WHy do you leave THE WHO for OASIS?!?!?!?!?!
And why do you hate Oasis?
I don't like their songs. The music is not to my liking, and I think the lyrics are shit. I think that they contribute nothing influential to the music scene anymore, and I feel that they are not overwhelmingly talented musicians. The fact that they are holding up a record that is as highly anticipated to hardcore fans (aka me) until 2006 at the earliest is annoying as hell. I hated them before, don't get me wrong, but Pete and Roger have worked their asses off for this album and Starky just shat all over it. That does not make me happy.
Ok, fair enough. But not to call them untalented musicians. They have been placed in top-3 best gigs of all time and also Noel Gallagher wrote their first three albums Alone which name's you might finds and recognize from 'Best Albums of all Time'-lists.
I don't know much about Starkey but I'll enjoy listening to him play for Oasis... and appearently he has great taste in music, he must have gotten that from his father...

They both suck
I hate these kind of ignorant posts. Imo regardless of your taste in music you should be able to see what has made an artist or group great and respect them for that.
These are both great bands.

"Kurt Cobain in Niravana, who basically is a fucking junkie with a junkie wife. Is the baby if born before them I think they both ought to go to prison, that's my viewing." - Axl Rose
Oasis by far but I won't deny Nirvana made some great songs.

Ramones by far
Yepp.

really trippy, slow, psychedelic, 60's sounding, sort of garage, almost like, hawaii kind of surf guitar sounding music? preferably not techno, but more so like, yeah, you know, really chilled out psychedelic sounding stuff?
Try Beck.

Starts off with some wicked flutes, then comes a straight rock ballad, and finally the greatest rock n' roll moments of all time.
The best song of all time is ...
Stairway To Heaven!
And if not's your favourite, you can't say it isn't a ok song.
Yes, I can go as far as saying it's an ok song. But, it definitely is by far the most overrated song of all time. Boring, too long, weak lyrics...
-
I got it and i'ts definitely something you should by if you like Oasis.
Besides the album there's videos, live performances, 20 page booklet, 1hrs with interviews and lots more! Also the DVD production is great.
I really hope they release a similar version for (What's The Story?) Morning Glory.

OASIS ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM AND SINGLE DETAILS!
7 March 2005
On May 16th 2005 Oasis return with a brand new single entitled ‘Lyla’. The track is taken
from the band’s hugely anticipated new album entitled ‘Don’t Believe The Truth’, which
follows two weeks later on May 30th on Big Brother Recordings.
Noel Gallagher believes that ‘Lyla’ is a true Oasis classic. ''It's The Who. ‘Lyla’ was
specifically designed for pogoing. We wrote 66 tracks and ‘Lyla’ was one that we revisited
late on and it's ended up on the album. I’m happy with every track on the album.”
‘Don’t Believe The Truth’ is the sixth Oasis studio album – their first since the number one
multi-million selling ‘Heathen Chemistry’, released in 2002.
Crowning what will be an extraordinary 2005, Oasis will embark on an extensive world
tour that includes nine huge shows in the UK – including seven stadium gigs. Tickets for
these dates sold out in record time, even challenging the speed with which they sold out
their legendary Knebworth shows of 1996. Oasis have just added shows in Newcastle and
Ireland in the face of phenomenal demand. Further UK and European dates to be
announced soon.
Furthermore, Oasis will return to North America for the first time since 2002, playing their
biggest US shows to date. Their show at the legendary 14,000 capacity Madison Square
Gardens in New York on 22nd June sold out in an hour. Check out the
tour page for all the dates!

Rolling Stones with Axl and Izzy. They did Salt Of The Earth on 3 occasions, and Mixed Emotions once.
In-fucking-credible is the word for it.
Seeing mick and axl together.....dude... I repeat: in-fucking-credible
I agree.
Also the part when Axl enters the stage at the Freddie Tribute concert is pretty fucking cool..! B)

I think the UYI albums are outstanding. Also, Nevermind and Definitely Maybe are two great albums. OK Computer on the other hand is the most overrated album since Never Mind The Bollocks...
-
And there are predictions that American Idiot is going to outsell Dookie in the next 2 or 3 months
Cool, well deserved! It's one of the absolute best album of 2004!

Here's some updates and rumours about Oasis and the new album...
Noel has confirmed in an interview that these 4 songs exists:
Stop the clocks – "One of the best song that I ever wrote"
Don' t be down - "This song is About my daughter Anais"
The magic can' t be right - "Sounds like Rolling Stones"
I want to live in a dream in my record machine - "It’s ten minutes long and it’s a big psycadelic guitars solo, the lyrics are good"
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Noel played the new record for Courtney Love!
" There's one song 'Boy with the Blues' that was like a 60's garage rocker, an excellent song, gnarly and fucked up using big guitar feed back - Northern , mangled , blues."
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
The album's finished. We recorded it three times. It's been a major pain in the arse but it's come out really good. We've written 66 songs between the four of us and I think there's 11 or 12 on the album. We were going to do a double album, but we don't want to give Sony too much 'cos it's our last one, so fuck 'em."

---------------------------------------------------------------------------
There's a rumour that the new album will be named "Don't believe the Truth"

---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Anoter rumour says the first single will be "I Stand Alone" and in stores 14th of March. B-sides "The Meaning Of Soul" och "Don' t Slow Me Down."
