He doesn't like the band, you see, but for some reason likes telling us about it.
He's not the only one here who doesn't like this travesty of a band.
-
The only one that I could envisage in the old band is Tommy. Fortus too, maybe.
LOL Fortus... The guy who tours with Rihanna and FakeThin Lizzy
-
The Jimi Hendrix Experience
Santana
Stone Roses
Led Zeppelin

So will Izzy be bashed for not showing up?
He definitely should be bashed if he doesn't show up.
As Wood and Stewart said : 'do it for the fans'.
Only complete assholes wouldn't show up.

Seriously some of you need to get a life. I like the new band but come on people, it's just not the same. There is no hurting the new band- they are a good group of musicians but will never be relevant in today's music scene. I just don't understand how anyone who is a real GNR fan (maybe you have to have been alive when they were a real band) can think that it wouldn't be incredibly cool for them to play a few songs together. The whole Axl vs. Slash thing on this board is pretty tired.
This !!
-
I couldn't give a fuck about whether they like each other or can get along with each other. What do I have invested in their interpersonal relationship? My only questions are "Are they playing music together?"
If Slash n'Axl get along again with each other, maybe they'll play music together in the future.
That's why the HOF is important, even if they don't play that night. They can play later...

A special edition of AFD would certainly sell more copies than the hypothetical CD2.....
-
The Hall of Fame made the right decision. It will be awesome to see Guns N'Roses getting this award so many years after the break-up!

It's a great pity that Mr Reed's greatest hit (Silkworms ) hasn't been mentioned yet in this thread.

The Title Is Misleading. This Should Also Be In The Velvet Revolver Discussion Section.
Let's start a petition to get it moved.
And to get you banned
Expect the habitual rednecks signing it...

Isn't it rumoured that the band were re-recording AFD along with CD?....if this is the case then maybe they're planning on releasing it to mark the 20th anniversary of the original release and to mark the return of the GnR name throughout the world...
That would be like Paul McCartney re-recording the White Album with a bunch of session musicians and putting the Beatles name on it. Completely UNnecessary.
Or like, you know, putting a band together and calling themselves "The Beatles"
:krider:
There would certainly be people to say : "This is The Beatles 2006. Accept it !" or "It is written "The Beatles" on my ticket concert, so it is definitely "The Beatles"..." or "Paul McCartney owns the name, so he can do whatever he wants with it" or "Paul McCartney was The Beatles from day one, he is The Beatles",etc...

I just think it's great that Axl will always have that tattoo of AFD on his arm. Everytime he jerks off he looks at Slash and the boys. SLASH RULES
The AFD cross is screaming "REUNION!"
-
The schedule for that festival has been posted in the corresponding thread : http://www.mygnrforum.com/index.php?showtopic=73609
And no, they won't play. Sorry. Better luck next time.

it is a fact that inmigrants, gays and colored are not always productive people in the USA.
Are white straight people that productive ?
The lyrics of One In a Million were lame and so is your post.

I think the situation here is more or less like when a child wishes a toy, the child is asking for it all the time and waits a long time and once he gets his new and wished toy, he plays with it a couple of days and then throws it to the box with the rest of the toys. I think this could be applied to a lot of people here, especially some of the kids in here.
I'm not a kid. I was pretty excited before the NYC shows 'cause it was like the beginning of a new era after the 2002 fiasco... But when I saw the set list and the line-up, it was over as far I'm concerned. These guys must play their own material if they want to be respected.
Here are the answers, plain and simple:1.) The new songs are not that good, and they are just as mediocre, if not worse, live.
2.) The absolutely predictable set list from night to night is a bore. I'd love to watch the show, even with the predictability cause I love GN'R (ok, I'll even call this band GN'R), but what is to discuss? Same old, same old.
I bet Axl eats the same breakfast, lunch, and dinner each day. Wouldn't want to take the predictability out of the dude's day.
Pubes.
You're right. Who cares about AFD played by Finck, Stinson & Co ? Not me.
-
like i said, its only the hardcore slash fans, who are bound to hate him regardless.
I don't hate him.
I think he is mediocre and that hundreds of guitarists just in LA are better than him. That's all.
-
Izzy's guesting in NY was really cool!
Very emotional!
This is the best so far.
-
I hate it when people write mindless posts with absolutely no explination just for the purpose of bashing, GET OVER IT, THIS IS GUNS NOW THAT WAS GUNS THEN, frickk go find some pic of the old crew and jerk your fckn 1 inch gurkin, whats done is done, SLASH IS IN VELVET REVOLVER NOT GUNS, DONT CRY OVER IT.
15 years old bitches won't tell me what's GNR and what's not.
-
And the reason Robin is the Slasher's main target is because he is the guy who directly replaced him in the band.
Not at all.
The reason Finck is GN'R fans main target is because he is a mediocre guitarist.
Simple as that.
-
Still fooling around jb ?
-
Fortus should do both solos. He might just be a hired touring musician that looks like a member of Good Charlotte, but he plays those solos a damn sight better than Finck.
Exactly. This band is just Axl with session musicians. Only Slash can play the NR solo right.
Only HIM
Those Axl's men are doomed to live in the shadow of Slash...
-
Axl's band has become a boring band compared with the 2002 version... Is it Bumblefoot's fault ? Not sure. There are also other issues...
The fact is that Buckethead added something very special to the shows, and Bumblefoot doesn't.

GNR was about frustration and anger not about smiling onstage like Phil Collins.
