  1. http://www.mickwall.com/blog/blog.php

Meanwhile a French magazine has emailed to ask if I would like to write a Guns N' Roses story for them, about their latest gigs in New York, which I happen to know quite a lot about, having snuck through the backdoor. Was very disappointed they didn't play 'Get In The Ring' in my honour, but then was pretty disappointed by the whole thing, actually. But hey, it's not really Guns N' Roses, is it? Despite what the poor deluded bastards who scream otherwise say. I mean, if Paul McCartney got a bunch of nobodies together tomorrow and called it the Beatles, would it mean it was the Beatles? (Whoever they are...)

I posted the Beatles example 10 days ago.

If Paul McCartney hired Noel Gallagher and Lenny Kravitz on guitars and called it The Beatles there would be people to accept it ! :rofl-lol:

    Mick Wall is realistic.

  2. Yeah so is Steven Adler.. :P

I've got a riddle for you!

What's the difference between NuGnR and Adler's Appetite?

    Well let's see...

We have two Guns n' Roses cover bands with only one original member in them....

Both are mostly playing Appetite for destruction with some new stuff...

I have to admit that Adlers Appetite did a good job when they went here...

    :)

Axl uses the original name so gets more advertised then anybody else!

Plus, let's say it, Axl is the singer and Steve is the drummer...

    Anything to add?

    Yes.

    Both suck. :o

  3. None. It would be disappointing.

i used to think the same... back in 2002, in fact I was hoping Axl would stop playing certain songs from the past (notably YCBM and Rocket Queen) that he was destroying with his shitty helium voice, freakish new band image, and sloppy guitarwork... but, after watching Hammerstein, the band has really gotten all those qualities together and I'm hoping now that there's more balance between the setlist for AFD, UYI & CD songs.

I'm not sure the band is better now than in 2002...

  4. You see it right in front of you, and still expect more and more. It's unrealistic.

When a band tours under a determined name, nothing could be more justified than having the real band onstage and not session musicians who are not even fans of the music they are playing.

I don't think at all it's unrealistic from the fans to ask for something that is perfectly rightful.

There's a big difference between asking (hoping) for something and still expecting it against all reasonable odds when you have a new band performing on stage right before your eyes. If you don't see how that is insanely farfetched I would strongly consider getting a seeing eye dog.

There's been a lot of reunion rumors lately... No smoke without fire...

And Madison clearly stated some days ago that negociations are still going on...

You're a bit too resigned for your age, Username.

  6. And THIS is why people hate Robin Finck. He fucked that solo up so embarassingly bad.

Even the guy to the left of him (Fortus?) was looking at him like, "Dude, what the fuck are you doing?"

So true! Finck has been in the band for 10 years, and almost nobody knows that he is the lead guitarist. That's embarrassing too.
