  1. A band at their creative peak release their first double album and people are saying its boring? Its a fucking brilliant album

So true. I was not a RHCP fan, but I got the album and I love it !

Probably their best album so far.

  2. I too old to be a groupie  Just want to go to the show, I have been to many other shows and been backstage (4 times at the Brits) and I am definately not about to chase the stars

    Just kidding jacquiat. :P

The remark was rather aimed to Mr(?) Mysteron... :)

  3. Because I have a friend who is a stage manager and might be able to get backstage tix if he knows the promoter

I can assure you it would be a pointless exercise

Axl isn't interested in groupies anymore ?

  4. There's still a lot of frustration and anger in Axl. His statement about Slash was so vindictive...

Maybe his projects didn't work out as he'd hoped.

Axl considers the fans as whipping boys on who he can take his anger out.

In his defence, I'd say that he's not the only celebrity who acts like that...

  5. CHRISTINA AGUILARA'S "FIGHTER"!!!!! :(

Yes! It's a well known fact that Uncle Axl is extremely influenced by the 5 or 6 people who write Christina's music for her. -

I don't know if Axl is influenced by the people who write songs for Christina Aguilera, but Finck undoubtedly is... :xmasssanta:

  6. It's Axl's voice for sure..It sounds like modern Rock song,it has potential.. :D

Maybe you're right. Could be Axl. But I don't like this song.

    Sounds like neo-punk (Greenday, etc.)

OMG Chinese Democracy starts now. This song is better than all of Contraband and AFD put together.

Dude, it was 10 seconds... settle down... it's cool that we got it, but damn, to say "I don't like this song" based on that. You're a putz if you think you can judge a song from that much time.

What about it sounds like Green Day??

    Silly post.

20 seconds are more than enough to judge this kind of songs...

  7. every time a band does a gig just before a festival its always called a warm up show

The NY shows are warm-up gigs because they are starting a tour... Hammersmith is something else...

    Is Dublin a warm-up show too ?

    Hammersmith June 7

    Dublin June 9

    Download June 11

  8. A warm-up show in the middle of a tour is the kind of concept I still haven't asimilated... I mean...

Why is this show called "a warm-up show" ?

I switched off my computer 4 hours ago to think calmly about that matter. Here are my conclusions :

this show at Hammersmith has been called a warm-up BECAUSE THE ORIGINAL LINE-UP WILL BE PLAYING THERE!!!! It will be their only show together before playing at Download. rock1

If the new line-up was playing, it wouldn't make much sense to call it a "warm-up show".

    Rumors were true. :)

  9. "But Rose, 44, has lost some decibels. At times the music all but smothered his voice, and whenever there

was a break in vocal duties he bolted offstage, adding to the sense that he was struggling. Sunday was just

the second night of the band's tour, which is supposed to head to Europe this summer. Rose explained

halfway through the show that he could sing only after the miraculous intervention of a throat doctor.

How Rose could possibly sustain a full-fledged tour is hard to imagine. The band is already picking up a lot of slack. Guitarists Richard Fortus, Robin Finck and Ron Thal (also known as Bumblefoot) took turns soloing

alone onstage, often for four or five minutes at a time. You could occasionally detect a melody in all the

noodling, such as during Jimi Hendrix's "Little Wing," and more surprisingly in "Over the Rainbow" and

    Christina Aguilera's "Beautiful."

    (The Washington Post review)

    This is worrying. :(

and iam sure you are enjoing this or have change side after the man is back on track..Sure he has some nights where he cant be on top in this games...44years old

Yeah sure. I'm enjoying Axl losing his voice...

I have a ticket for the Paris show and I'll have to take a plane to go there...My hotel room is booked...

So, yeah, I will be delighted at some shows being cancelled...

If it's the Paris show, even better !

  11. Very cool review Madison!

I thought Axl had said more about Izzy. So, it still remains unclear if he'll be onstage as a guest for the last NY show.

  12. Think about it...do you really think that the Japanese crowd on the Tokyo dvd's where "the loudest crowd so far"...

But didn't he say "the loudest crowd so far here"? =P

Yes, because they had play the day before in the same arena or something.
