  1. Never even heard of lostprophets.

Their first album - The Fake Sound Of Progress - wasn't that bad actually. Then they decided to turn into emo shit.... :(

Meh, disagree. There's emo and there's Lostprophets; I can't do emo, and the Lostprophets are a great band.

I'm yet to see The Offspring, I had a chance in 02 at Leeds, but I was too ill to make it... although I did finally drag my sorry ass to see Axl and the boys. ;) Did The Offspring do Download 06? I can't remember.

  2. Would rather watch paint dry.

In fact, I'd rather watch it get dry AND peal several years later.

Your words have stuck in my head for the last few days, and I severely disagree. Maiden are quality, they really are.

  3. You should check out Powerslave, Somewhere In Time, and A Matter Of Life And Death, all in the same vein as the ones you named

That's my current favourite. Great way to change their sound. rock4

  4. Seriously doubt it the way things are going at the moment. Besides, from what I remember their last UK festival headline slot wasn't exactly the best. Last time at Leeds everyone was excited but that was about 6 years ago so it's not all that recent.

I can't believe it was that long ago. I had a really good time, all things considered. :book:

  5. Weezer - Maladroit (2002)

    its their heavy metal album

I bought this album because you mentioned it. I've always liked Weezer, ever since 'Buddy Holly', but never bought an album because although their songs are fun and catchy, they seemed a little too 'Indie pop'. I'm 4 songs into Maladroid in my car, and I must say I'm impressed. Thanks dude!

  6. Haa, New Rose is going to love this :xmasssanta:

I got one of their albums, Deliverance, can't say I'm a big fan of theirs, it's alright but nothing mind blowing :P

    Haha...just what I was thinking.

I bought 2 albums off the back of Ju-Ju biggin' them up... and they are, officially, good.

  7. no but he may need Axl

And even with Axl on three tracks, the album still didn't sell good.

But, being fair, it had a limited distribution, and was an independant label.

Righty, there was fuck all distribution, I still don't have my copy!

  8. Well, I bought the All The Right Reasons album, on the power of this thread, and I must say it's solid. The majority of the songs are heavier than the singles, which I was impressed with too.
