MAN THIS IS THE BEST GNR THING TO SURFACE SINCE THE 13 SECONDS OF AXL SINGING IN RAPID FIRE, I CAN'T BELIEVE IT'S ON YOUTUBE FOR SO LONG AND NO ONE NOTICED

What I think:

#1 - Congratulations man!, You sound better than Buckethead, Robin Finck, and whoever else plays guitar on that track;

#2 - Hey, calm down, man! Any decent rock guitarrist sounds better than Buckethead, Robin Finck or whoever plays guitar on that track;

#3 - You wanna sound like Appetite? 1) Add some more groove on the rhythm guitar parts, they already sound good, but they can sound even more Izzy-like; 2) Erase the "shred" and inject some "bluesy feel" into those solos, so they should sound more like Slash's; yeah, change those mechanic drums, put some groove on them!

I'll be waiting for your next take!

AXL ROSE WAS THE BEST SINGER IN THE WORLD.

When people (me included) pick on Axl, they are not comparing him to an ordinary singer like Myles Kennedy.

They are comparing Axl to the best singer ever:

I live in Brazil. I was 14 years old in January 1991 and I watched Guns n' Roses show in Rock in Rio II live on TV (it was broadcasted live here in Brazil). I was on school holydays at the beach and I remember sitting in front of the TV with some friends and saying: "Wow, this is not good. Axl is not singing the way he sings on the record. I don't like it." I actually thought it was so bad and disapointing that I didn't even finish watching the show on TV. I just wen out to do something else.

Two years later, on a school trip, a friend gave me an audio tape of a GNR concert and I couldn't believe how great it was and I just couldn't stop listening to it. I asked him "What show is that?" and he told me it was the second night in Rock in Rio II. "What?" I said. "This show is great. How come I didn't realize it then?".

Since that day, 17 years ago, I have listened to both Rock in Rio II show countless times and I keep coming back to them, specially the second night. Why? I could give you a lot of racional explanations for it. But in the end it is just because it moves me when I listen to it.

I feel extremely lucky that I can feel so much and get so amped when I listen to this band, specially some live bootlegs like the Rock in Rio shows.

In 1991, everyone loved GNR when they played in Brazil.

Girls thought Axl was the hottest thing on earth.

Guys thought the music was perfect.

Two days after the show, everyone was saying two things:

- Axl is fat.

- Axl can not sing like he does on the record.

Please make sure you listen to the second show (january 23 1991) because that is one of the best gnr shows ever, you will notice when you see how axl sings on it and how the band plays on it. Make sure you listen to "You Could Be Mine", "Nightrain" and "Double Talkin' Jive".
