Go for a 1980's JCM800 though, not the reissue. Older ones are cheaper and sound better, especially for 80's metal music.

I might get one myself. I'll settle for my TSL100 for now.

I have both versions Brazil and the new "US" one. Plus the VHS and Laserdisc. Sound on the Brazil ones is better (to me) than the US one. Brazil also had 5.1 surround, US does not. Video quality is same.

Brazil was the only way to get this for 1-2 years, on DVD, before the US one was re-released on DVD. That's why there's more than one version of it out there.

Do you have any of the AFD singles on 3 inch cd? they are worth a little bit and look great

I don't. I haven't really looked for them either, mostly because they were released singles, not promo cd's. Most of the 1 or 2 track discs I have in th frames are promotional cd's, not cd-singles that could be store purchased.

I too, don't care for the eccentricities of BH. I don't like his solo stuff either. I don't really care for his stage antics either (saw him in 2001 and 02 w/ GNR). But what he put on the new songs is pretty good, Not really shredding. Some is fast but melodic- with good tone and limited effects. For me it works with the songs.

Off course he will be missed..he was a vital part of this new band,and a fantastic guitarist

Previously I wouldn't have considered him truly vital to the project, now I do. More guitar talent in his pinky than I have in both of my hands, and I've played for about 10 years.

I wasn't a huge fan of Buckethead, but damn, he adds something really cool and unique to these new 4 leaks in his solos and fills. I can't see the current lineup filling his shoes (live) w/o bringing in a ringer or changing the parts around. Hopefully Axl keeps his contributions on the final version of the disc. Would be nice to see him tour with GNR for a while at least in support of the CD. I underestimated what Buckethead could add sonically to this potential masterpiece.

I saw them in 010101 in Vegas for the comeback. That was a great night, and will be tough to ever top.

Not very impressed. I think it's the weakest of all of the CD tracks we've heard. I'd rather have Silkwoms, Rhiad, or even a re-recorderd version of Oh My God on the CD before this one. B-Side material. Sounds like a work in progress that needs some editing-didn't seem to flow too well. Final version could always surprise us though.

If they are selling a sealed copy it is probably a fake. Very few copies are unopened. And since it's sealed you probably won't want to open it up and see if the record pressing etching is legit. If there is any writing on the cover in any other language in the fine print, its fake.

I have an original (got it about 15 years ago), but I haven't seen a fake to tell you if there's a noticeable difference on the cover to look out for.

This Merck guy is a douchebag. Everytime he reports something it's to diffuse a situation or deny/or not answer information that has already been released and made public. He never give us/anyone information before other sources.

Why this board supports him I'll never understand (yes I understand the whole legality of posting songs etc). But not posting lyrics or links. Fuck him. Give us something-anyhing tangible then.

It's to the point where I really hope the whole CD does leak. It definitely will before it hits the streets for the public to buy with advance copies promo copies as well as test pressings. I'll buy the CD(probably more than 1 copy), but if there is no news from Axl or Merck on release dates or other info or what to expect, of course we're all going to track down the leaks and enjoy them while we can. If Axl has the balls to publicly play this music in clubs then he better accept the consequences that others can capture/copy the music and send it out.

And as far as this forum goes, it's total bullshit most of the time. I don't see any moderator stopping people from posting copyrighted pictures, articles, or lyrics from other discs/artists. All we're doing is helping to generate buzz for the release by sharing the music and files related to them. Axl has been a cocktease to us all these past 4 years. If he stayed in his hole I would understand not wanting to spread the leaks, but he's performing them, playing concerts, and promoting it in public when he is actually seen.

This forum started out as a pretty cool place years ago, but this siding with the "management" and not the fans is the last straw. This board has sold us- the loyal fans through thin (there has been no thick- out. Get out of Mercs ass and be the pillar and source of information that you could be. Post links and lyrics (I respect not hosting the file directly on the site) At times it was fun, but if this is the way it is going to be, then there are better sites/forums to get info from.

This Should be most of it. PS= promo single, S=Single. The Gold CD's aren't in the frame as I listen to them. The UYI Bible Pack, Spaghetti Can, and Spagehetti Die cast aren't there either as they wouldn't fit the frame. Still a couple here and there I need to get, but I haven't been looking to hard these past few years. All of these are official releases, none are bootlegs. The only thing in the frame that isn't "right" is the Live like a suicide cover. I cut it out from the back of the lies CD to fill that space and represent the CD in the frame.

I have all the LP's as well except lies. (Yes SUicide) Those are getting framed next.

How do you listen to the cd's though? as they are all in frames?

No need to listen to them, all are same versions as on regular CD's with a couple of exceptions (which are on my computer). I just like collecting/displaying them for looks. Many I have doubles of as well.

It is not an officially released DVD- or authorized. Basically it is a mass produced bootleg, which is easy to do nowadays.

Sebastain has as great rock/metal voice. One of the best. Too bad he wasn't chosen for VR. Would have made them much more interesting to listen to and see live.

It's a silver pressed bootleg, so it's alright. You're not allowed to sell CD-R bootlegs.

By bootleg,I mean not an official release by a record label that pays royalties to the artists. Just because it's pressed on a silver disc doesn't mean it's not a bootleg. Bootleg has to do with the source of the recorded material, not the type of media, or quality of media on which it is distributed.

One of my favorite bands. Have all their CD's- saw them twice live in small clubs in Chicago with about 500 people. Fucking loudest thing I have ever heard. So good live. Fun band allaround.

If your talking about the DVD Total one from Brazil, it's not a bootleg, just an import. Yes it is in 5.1 and the US one is not. I have them both. I think the sound is better on the Brazil one. But not a huge difference.

Interesting note: "The can is empty and cannot be opened." If you are positive that your  can has something inside it's worth a lot more I beleive..

That's it. Thanks. Yes there's a cd and a shirt- or something made of cloth inside of it. Mine still has the white lid attached as well. It is sealed underneath the lid. I saw another post on another site that said it was empty as well. Weird.

I've never been able to find a good listing of what is in the can. And these never seem to pop up on Ebay or elsewhere with info.

I also have the die cast plate logo thing which is cool. Want to get the 2 Top Hat collections next when I can find them in good condition.

Many years ago I bought a Spaghetti Incident promo item that is a can (about the size of a large coffee can) that has the tracks listed as the ingredients. I believe it is a Canadian promo item.

Anyone know what is inside the can? I can't find info on it anywhere online. Has no # on the package but is marked Geffen and MCA. Has a CD inside and probably a T-shirt from the way it shakes. Not sure if anything else is in there, or what the shirt looks like. I don't want to open it up (need a knife or can opener to do so) as it is is excellent condition and I'd like to keep the can sealed.

Great disc. Best release of 2005. The last 2 songs suck but the first 7-8 are great. Great guitar work.

Waking isn't that too good- too different from City Of Evil for me. I prefer less screaming- Waking sound like too many other bands that I could care less about in that genre.

I have all of them. The Selections is a promo, kind of hard to find. The other two were Imports for the US. No new material, just buy if you are a collector.

Ihave the TSL100 with full Marshall Stack. I changed my "tone" about 2 weeks ago. Used to be more metak (lots of gain, no mids etc) Now I'm like this for "Slash"/Ski Row: on the lead channel.

Presence 3, deep on, reverb 2, bass 9, mid 8, treb 3, cain 4, tone button out. Volume 5.

I have a Gibson LP Std with Alnico II's, Very happy with tis sound now.

I was thinking about getting a JCM 800 re-issue. That has a great sound, but it is a 1 trick pony.
