  1. Never get tired of watching it. Favorite moments are probably the marine biologist ending and the Vandelay ending with Jerry saying, "And you want to be my latex salesman," when seeing George on the floor.

  2. Hes saying he let Munroe have his go to entertain the crowd, what a lad

Max Kellerman goes Canelo said he'd like to fight you some time in future he goes 'no, not in future, i am ready now' GO ON SON!

His post-fight interviews are the best.

It's too bad we'll most likely have to wait until next year to see him face Canelo or Cotto (and who knows with Ward). His defense was kind of strange tonight with how inconsistent it was--looked very good the first two rounds, then just seemed to forget about defending after he knocked Monroe down. Who knows, maybe he was telling the truth about letting Monroe hit him for the fans. Can't do that against Canelo though.

  3. I'd take Mayweather over GGG, but give GGG the best chance out of everyone out there in beating Mayweather, just based off of the off chance he can connect on a couple of clean power shots. If he can land a few clean ones like Maidana or Pacquiao did, then it would be interesting to see if Mayweather could withstand his elite level of power.

GGG mentioned wanting Canelo maybe next May:

We'll see if that happens. Really hope they don't wait two years like De La Hoya mentioned. Wouldn't think that'd make Canelo look good if he puts it off that long. Think Canelo could easily make the transition to 160 whenever he wants to at this point, so waiting until GGG turns 35 could be viewed as ducking him while he's at his most dangerous. The two seem like the obvious choices for each other (after Cotto faces one of them later this year as is being talked about), so hopefully it happens sooner rather than later.

  4. Broner-Porter at a 144 catchweight in Las Vegas on June 20. Will be on PBC on NBC.

Broner wants it, Amir wants it, whats the problem?

Hopefully it happens after these next fights for them. Porter's not a bad alternative--certainly tougher than Broner's last few since Maidana. Still though, hopefully Broner-Khan happens later this year.

  5. Canelo, wow! What a knockout. Really hope those who complained about last week watched that one. So much action in those three rounds, capped off by a knockout like that. The uppercut on the second knockdown was a thing of beauty as well.

Please bring on Canelo-GGG after Cotto. There's a mega fight that could live up to expectations.

  6. Too bad Taishan Dong isn't being televised before Canelo-Kirkland. Getting the Mayweather-Pacquiao replay instead. Haven't seen Taishan yet. Curious to see the 7 foot heavyweight. Would have liked him to be televised, especially since the original scheduled televised undercard was cancelled.

  7. Was going to say Canelo by UD, but didn't realize it's been almost a decade since a Kirkland fight has gone to the scorecards. So, I'll go Canelo by a late stoppage as well, but Kirkland can be really dangerous.

  8. It'll never happen, but GGG is onboard for a Mayweather bout it appears. He's been retweeting some fans and articles saying Mayweather should fight him next. No way Mayweather takes that chance though.

  9. One Time Keith Thurman would be a fantastic opponent.

Hoping for Thurman. Still think power over trying to outbox Mayweather is still the best [very slim] chance of beating him. I'd like to see how Thurman does being in his physical prime, and with his combination of high IQ and power. See if he can figure out how to break Mayweather's defense for a few hard shots and see what happens. Doubt he would be able to, but think he'd stand a better chance than Khan.
  10. They're showing tweets from other athletes and celebrities on ESPN during the post match press conference. Don't know what to think about people complaining about no knockout, calling it underwhelming, even one saying "bring heavyweights back" (I wasn't aware they left...). Just find it strange people are complaining about that, knowing that neither fighter has been known for knockouts lately. At the same time, I'm curious about how many of them know about GGG, Thurman, Wilder, Matthysse, etc. There's plenty of fighters out there with the style that people (I'm guessing mostly casual fans) were hoping to see tonight, and yet they may not know or care to watch those fighters since they're not named Mayweather or Pacquiao. Maybe Wilder can become more popular (mainly talking about in the U.S.) if he can eventually beat Wlad and become the next American heavyweight champion, but there seems to be a limited ceiling for the others with casual fans maybe not caring to give them a chance. That's disappointing since there are some great fighters who bring what people were looking for to each fight. Hopefully, the PBC series can help provide exposure to get more casual fans watching more (it appears to be off to a nice start). Maybe I'm off on all of that--just a reaction from seeing some of those tweets--but, there's plenty of offensive, knockout-minded boxers still out there for those casual fans on Twitter, if they give them a chance.
