Looking forward to the release of CD : it will be the end of Axl-lites unfounded speculations about this new band abilities. And it will provide confirmation that Axl was wrong in keeping the name of something that obviously doesn't exist anymore.

I think a lot of you Axl apologists are too eager to dismiss anyone critical of Axl as a "hater."

I thought the orginal post was critical of Axl, but fair. Just because people have yet to be won over by NuGuns doesn't mean that they hate Axl. I'd love to be blown away by the new band. Just hasn't happened yet. Maybe it will.

But I still have a huge interest in GnR. For now, liking GnR means liking stuff Slash and Izzy did. That's cuz NuGuns still play MOSTLY all their songs. They still haven't put out an album, single, or video that can be evaluated. I think Better would be great if it was a three minute song. But that's about all I can say for the new band so far. Still holding out hope though... I watch all the YouTube clips and download leaks whenever they come out. Even though I think IRS and some of the other songs are awful, I still listen to them. It's Axl singing to us again. How could I not listen?

I hope the Axlite crowd and recognize that all of us here love W. Axl Rose. Even if we say critical things about him. We're here on a message board discussing the musician who hasn't really done anything for over a decade. That says something. When people like Niveen or Kaneda get pissy, it comes out of their deep love for Axl.

I think of it like Metallica. I fucking love their first five albums. I absolutely loathe most of the shit they did since. I'd have no issues about telling people that. I don't think that makes me any less of a Metallica fan.

"Haters" whine about Axl's new band. "Aspologists" whine about them whining. Who gives a fuck? If a few of us fans who feel one way want to discuss our feelings, then let us. As long as we don't resort to petty name calling, I don't see the problem with discussions on a discussion forum.
