  1. How are y'all transferring from the airport to your hotels? I just looked up Uber is only around $14....about the same price as a shuttle and you get your own private ride....looks like it's the way to go.

Im getting a shuttle from lax

  3. A driver for 2 miles?

Peole do it. Ya pay for an hour and you can cruise strip. In my case I knew cab lines were gonna be nasty so I arranged a driver for 4 of us. Dude with sign waiting at baggage claim and bam right to car and hotel. It was that or wait an hour for cab. Fuck that.

We did it during our last company trip to Vegas. It was $50 dollars for a private limo to the Monte Carlo. Was 5 of us so it was only $10 bucks each.

  5. I dont have the money today to book the flight, but i want to book my room today before they sell out. Thanks for the help!!! What is the difference between MGM and MGM Signature

Signature is a mixed use condo\suite that is built in the back. It originally did not have a casino, but I think it does now. Some rooms are owned by individuals but get rented out by the hotel if they are not living there or visiting. They are more of a suite\bigger as well. It's set off behind the MGM, MGM is directly on the strip, has a massive casino, tons of restaurants and clubs all in the same area. But it's about a 4 minutes walk from Signature.

  6. Booked MGM grand (with the option to cancel) for three nights for £370. Pulled the trigger early as it seemed to be going up.

    Thanks for the tips Estranged1.

Staying at the MGM Signature. 190 bucks for two nights, not too bad!

I'm staying there too, but they do have a $71 fee per night resort fee so $190 is a bit misleading. It will be more like $330.

I booked through hotels.com, it is $113 per night, then $71.00 per night resort fee payable at the hotel.

No- it's $30/night and at check out you can usually wiggle out of at least 1 or 2 of the charges...they are pretty good about it. Just about everywhere on the strip has these resort fees....it is what it is...MGM is worth it.

I know, I worked for MGM for 7 years when I lived in Vegas. My resort fee says $71.00 + $113.00 per night. I've looked on every website and booking directly. Not sure how you are pulling this cheap rate.

For those of you booking the Luxor, if you aren't strapped for cash it's worth an extra $20-40 to stay somewhere else. The hotel is ok, but the elevators are so loud so if you decide to sleep at all, you won't. Never staying there again.

A resort fee as high as you allegedly have is illegal in Vegas. This link has every resorts resort fee- http://www.lasvegasdirect.com/las-vegas-hotel-resort-fees.html

Looking at my itinerary now, says $71.00.
I feel like I'm defending MGM- LOL. Call them directly. Ask what is resort fee. +18778800880 or look at their website- https://www.mgmgrand.com/en/faq.html

I booked two rooms, mystery solved.

you booked at MGM? Did you just call them directly? Or should i look at hotel websites for deals? I want to book a hotel for thursday and friday within the next few hours.

How far is the airport from the strip?? Is there only 1 airport to fly into? Cab ride from airport to strip i assume?

The airport is on the strip, at the end. The venue the concert is at is at the same end of the strip. I booked my rooms at the MGM Signature, which is a property directly behind the MGM Grand. There is only one airport. The venue and MGM is about 2 miles from the airport. You will have to take a shuttle, taxi, or uber from the airport. I used hotels.com for my room, if you are flying expedia.com has some good bundle packages.

  9. If

Sadly I think the audience will only be 10-20% people like us. Sure WTTJ will get a huge reaction but something like DTJ or Perfect Crime could cause crickets. It's bound to happen when you have thousands of tickets on Stubhub and many of the best seats are held for big gamblers in Vegas.

That will be very sad.. The board members better get LOUD!!! At first I was thinking it was going to be electric in there but now I am scared. I mean I assume there will be more die hards traveling to these shows than usual. I am in section 14.. I have those 3 blocked off sections right next to me! Hopefully those aren't all the douche bags!

I'd like to think I'm wrong but who knows? I mean I don't expect 20,000 nuts like us either. In theory, this should be an electric crowd. But if you have thousands of people who are there because they got free tickets from the Casinos or it's something to do then I don't think it'll be the atmosphere we'd like it to be. I guess we'll find out soon enough!

If they put out 1-2 new songs that were kick-ass, it would be a whole different story. But they won't because they are lame and not normal lol. Still looking forward to the show.

  12. Weird seeing Slash post about it...but awesome at the same time

Where did slash post about it?

Probably all his social media accounts,Twitter,Instagram,Facebook .

    is MGM near the arena?

How far is airport from Venue?

    Which airport also?

McCarran Airport which is 2.1 miles from the MGM which is 0.2 miles from the arena.

Seems like you could walk from the airport if you were being extra frugal?

There are no sidewalks or anything, you would get hit by a car and die before you made it. Just better to take the bus or taxi for a few bucks. Uber is available in Vegas now too. Not sure if they go to the airport though.

  13. It also lists the disclaimer about "some pre-sales might be conducted based on membership level and seniority" but otherwise it seems as though the digital membership will indeed grant access.

Weird now they are gonna seperate fans based on how much money they spent there? How does that make someone a bigger fan?
    That as well as seniority.

Perhaps it'll be something like people who have the deluxe membership will get first presale, then digital memberships get second presale? Who knows.

It shouldn't be based on how much money you have spent,IMO,rather on how long you have been a member. That's the fair thing to do for people who have been members for a long time while there wasn't much going on. Anyone can join now for the digital membership just to have the right to buy tickets early but basing pre-sales on how long you've been a member will at least,in theory, ensure fans get first crack at tickets before scalpers.

That's not how capitalism works. If have more accounts at my bank, I get better perks. I spend more money on an airline, I get more perks. I pay for 1st class on an airline, I get more perks. I spend more on a certain credit card, I get more perks. It's all about money.
