Great news.
That said, I'm annoyed no one else remembered the guy on this who claimed he was hiding under a desk at Universal illegally recording 'IRS'. Surely someone remembers that?
Fuck sake.
I remember the video someone recorded outside of Universal (I think) of 'IRS' being played in one of their office's and uploading it to youtube. I was at school at the time in a math's lesson and I remember freaking out to my friend who I sat with and him looking at me bewildered.

I wonder if they will do KOHD the old way or the nugnr way.
I imagine they'll leave CD, better, and TIL in the set. I can't see axl just ditching songs that he spent 1/3 of his life working on.
The new new way.
Better than the old one?
You know it.

Didn't they start playing it similar to the old way on recent tour's? I'm sure he started doing the "hey heyyy's".
No. The new version has evolved over time since 2001, but it's always been much closer to that than the old version.
Yeah your right I just youtube'd it.

Has anyone recently tried to sign up to the 1 year digital membership on the gun's website? It says that it's sold out but I swear I saw someone on here mention they joined the other night.

Seriously considering jacking in work today and just cranking the whole back catalogue. Great fuckin news!

Hammersmith or Wembley Arena as a warm up, and surely Wembley Stadium or Twickenham for the proper show?
Same, I'd love a warm up show similar to when they played Hammersmith Odeon back in 2006.
Wembley and the o2 would do meSo if rumour's are true, what are UK people thinking? Stadium's, arena's?
The o2 is my local, but only holds about 15-18,000. If Nu-GNR can play there at almost full capacity 4 times over 2 years then reunited GNR can do Wembley.
Yeah without a doubt. Maybe a few night's at Wembley stadium or week long residency type thing at the o2, I'd take either. The o2 is only up the road from me, but to be honest I'm willing to travel anywhere.

THAT would be amazing!
It would!
I'm already getting anxious about when tickets go on sale, skint after Christmas...

Each to their own, but I have to disagree with you...I was at both London show's this past week and they were fucking brilliant.Awful band of terrible musicians.
Terrible musicians?
What cause their song's don't have ridiculous over the top guitar wank solo's?
Couldn't care less about guitar solos. Terrible musicians because they are unable to write a good song. If you like them it's fine.
I respect your opinion, but I can say by your words that you probably haven't even tried to hear them without the prejudgement of them being a typical punk rock band or whatever. They have plenty of good songs, and most of people I know who are into rock like the band a lot. The "terrible musicians because they are unable to write a good song" thing wasn't too conving, I'm sorry!
Their first few records are very typical punk but I quite like typical punk anyways, but their middle three album's Tim, Pleased to meet me and Let it be showed their real song writing potential and not that they were just another punk band.
Any how, shame they may not do any more gig's or an album...but maybe stopping now is a good thing and they don't become a nostalgia act.

Fair enough if their not your cup of tea. Let's agree to disagree.
Still, I think Tommy's wasted in this band, especially at the rate it's currently going. Shame The replacement's don't look like their going to be carrying on as they looked and played ferociously.

Their Facebook page is shocking, it seems to be quite recent as well. Fuck knows who's running it.

It was a great time, probably my most active posting time on the forum...since then I've posted lesser and lesser but I still lurk daily. But yea, good times. 2008 was pretty good also with the album release obviously and the axl chats.

I love how this is probably the most informative interview from a GNR associate in about 20 years. Jeeze.
And he was still apprehensive about what he can say.
fucked up.
