They did play Civil War in HOB as a warmup. I'm glad they don't play it. The band sounded alright but Axl sounded horrible.

Shannon Hoon is guy who got a copy of "don´t cry" way before it was released on uyi.

He then sang it live in his band, because it is such a great song (ad not many people knew it was from guns), after Axl heard him singing the song he invited him to record backing vocals for don´t cry.

But in the end he sang the whole song together with axl as a duett (although i think axls voice is way louder and better to hear)

The problem is just that... Judging from the demos. Any of you heard the demo to November Rain? You should. It's so annoying, out of tune and wrong I would have laughed if I friend came to me and said "Look, I wrote a song". That demo was simply pure shit. Listen to the song on UYI I, then... Simply one of the best rock ballads of all times.

Can anyone tell me where to get that demo ( or maybe be so kind as to pm me)

I for myself really like IRS, although i wouldn´t say it´s one of my alltime-gnr-favourites.

What i did found sounded kinda funny was the very high sung part at the beginning. Sounded a bit strange to mee.
