  1. I see so much arrogance in these posts, and hostility towards'noobs' [check out your local gunsguy posts]. i wonder where that all comes from? not everyone has to be the same, and that is cool. some kids like jessica simpson, that's cool. listen to alice cooper whose daughter loves celine dion, and alice took her to see celine dion in concert and said: 'it's not my kind of music, but i respect her, and she is an amazing singer with talent.' that's the spirit of rock'n'roll.

Totally agree - and the snobbery here is unreal. Were they born with 5 million posts on mygnr? Quite a few people (the ones with a life) don't bother counting posts and only post if they feel the need to respond.

  2. The way I read it back in the day was that Blind Melon used to cover Don't Cry before they became famous. Axl was a friend of Shannon Hoon's sister back in Lafayette and caught wind that the band had covered the song and when Shannon moved to LA he became friends with Axl who as we all know had Shannon on stage to sing the song with him. Hoon also sang backup on the track on UYI and also appeared in the video.

This is exactly the way i remember reading about their friendship back in the day.

  3. Can anyone give me advice please. I bought an ipod mini approx 20 months ago. After about 6 months it just packed in, i took it back to the shop and they shipped it off to apple who then replaced it with a new one.

Now that one has packed in. It doesn't get heavy use, mainly at the gym and i plug it into logic 3 speakers at home which also charge it.

The warrantly is up and i don't feel inclined to buy another ipod. If i buy another mp3 player how can i put my music on (which is all uploaded on itunes). Really don't understand music files and their different formats. Has anyone any ideas or any time to think about this? I would really appreciate some advice.

  4. Holiday and Basket case are favorite at the moment. Love the lyrics to Holiday.

btw just because something is easy to play doesn't make it shit, some of the most enduring classics are relatively simple.

If they are punk, then punk was always meant to be easy, a lot of the original punk bands (in the UK) hadn't played before they first got on stage.

  5. Yeah, i doubt he would be writing another one, although i wouldnt put it past him. Mick Wall loves getting attention from the GnR name, every fucking article about Guns or Axl that he writes he just has to go into how he was "imortalized" for all time in Get In The Ring. Fine! he has written other articles and books, but he needs to move on from GnR, all he wants to do is stir up more fire, luckily i doubt Axl would give him the time of day!

You are of course right. Mick Wall has seen how successful the tour has been and has pound/dollar signs in his eyes. He's rushing a book out to cash in on Axls name.

  6. I feel as if i've missed something and that everyone knows except me. On Mick Walls blog (where he talks endlessly about Axl) he mentions the Axl Rose book he's writing and Ross Hafin mentions it to in his blog.

Is it true or am I being gullible believing them?? Does anyone know anything about this??

  7. 1. Ziggy Stadust

    2. Aladdin Sane

    3. Diamond Dogs

    4. Hunky Dory

    5. Man who sold the world

This was almost impossible as I absolutely love every one of these albums. I really like a lot of his other albums but these are my top 5.
