Tom Petty may not be political music but he's songs got some perspective in life. B) Same goes with Queen and you wouldn't believe it after listening to Dust n' Bones but Izzy has it too.

I'm surprised Dire Straits were 6th, no one ever talks about them.
-
Have you listened to his music? I've heard some clips of his songs and it seems like he is a pretty talented musician.
I know there are cds called Lie: The Love and Terror Cult, Manson Speaks, Commemoration and Family Jams. Is there more albums from Manson?
-
Maybe Sultans of Swing at the time.

60's and 70's rock n' roll belonged to Britain: Rolling Stones, Beatles, Queen, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin etc.
-
The music hasn't died, it just have been hiding behind the scenes for 10 years.

Their songs are catchy and Jon Bon Jovi's voice is easy to like so it's no surprise they are popular. I'm not into their music myself but sometimes when you're in a bar Bon Jovi songs gives you the party feeling you want. Though once my friend was thrown out of this bar because he played It's My Life for 20 times from the jugebox.

Anyone know what happened? It was a great site, I used to check album reviews and lots of other stuff there but for some reason the site has been down for a couple of months.

Dire Straits: Love Over Gold, Brothers in Arms
Izzy Stradlin: Ju Ju Hounds, 117 Degrees
Queen: Innuendo, A Kind of Magic, A Night at the Opera
Tom Petty: Into the Great Wide Open, Wildflowers, Damn the Torpedos
Gary Moore: After the War
Pink Floyd: The Wall

And where's Mark Knopfler? Maybe he doesn't deserve to be in top 10 but come on top 50.
And no one appreciates Gary Moore, he is too unknown to make that list but vastly underrated.

Is music better than sex? :krider:

Guns n' Roses - Appetite for Destruction
Izzy Stradlin and the Ju Ju Hounds
Dire Straits - Dire Straits
Queen - Queen

I wouldn't call UYIs lame but The Wall is definitely more epic album. But Queen's albums Innuendo, A Kind of Magic and Made in Heaven are very deep stuff also.

Queen is more talented band than U2 and it's also one of my favourite bands.
