Come On. That's The Shittiest Logo I've Ever Seen. They're Actually Using That Design On A Watch. The Should Use Something Better Like That New GN'R Star Thing They Put On All The T-Shirts. Way Better Than This Logo...

I like that better than that stupid GN'R star that's out now. And you really should learn to not capitalize the first letter of every word.

  2. I will in fact buy the cd just because it's GN'R and I always support the bands that I like. But prices of cds need to drop. I think they should be between $4.99 and $7.99. The bands still make profit because the cds only cost like $1.25 to make. And at $13.99, more people download than buy. If all cd's went to reasonable prices, I'd go buy the ones I downloaded.

  3. Wow, this guy is an asshole. Tool sucks, and Maynard shouldn't even be compared with Axl because he ain't as talented.

Ha. Axl could only dream of having a lower register like Maynard's.

Maynard and Axl can't even be compared. Maynard has just as much talent. GN'R turned into a band all about the money now (at least in my opinion), which is why they tour but never release anything. Tool is about the music.

And I'm not dissing either. I love both bands. But to say that Maynard doesn't have as much talent is ridiculous.

    Ah, the memories.

And, this was posted a few months ago...

Actually, it wasn't. It was confirmed in September, which is this month. So in reality, he's only about 2 weeks late... not a few months.

  5. Is it odd that the best of the new songs (and in some people's opinion, the only good new song) wasn't written by Axl?

the guitar is really lame and uninspriring (except bucket (ron's) parts), axl's melody is what makes the song.

If you knew more about guitar than you apparently do, you'd realize that the chords being played aren't 'boring' power chords.

I'll admit, the riffs in Better are weak when compared to Sweet Child or Estranged, but they're better than the no riffs of today, eh? Plus, There Was a Time has some nice riffage.

are you fucking crazy? i've been playing for 13 years. if those aren't power chords, you can kick me in the nuts!

I second that notion... Been playing 8 years, and those are power chords in the verses. If you got two fingers, you can play it. If you have the verbal ability of a 10 year old, you can pull off the lyrics too!

    Pubes.

Well, with 2 fingers, you could play it, but it'd sound absolutely terrible. Three fingers works better, and 4 works great just to add in the upper octive on the chord. And I highly doubt everyone on the boards who says "I've been playing 10 years" really does. A few of you do obviously, but not everyone who says it.

And if you say this song isn't the best of the leaks, along with Catcher in the Rye, you're opinion is no longer valid. It has the best riff and the best lyrics out of all of the leaks. The lyrics are powerful... let's see anybody else try to write something BETTER (get it? yeah bad joke).

  6. The FTP riff is great too.

    You mean the Yesterdays' riff?

Yesterday doesn't have a riff, just some clean picked chords.

I thought you would get what I meant. Listen to the Yesterday's demo and then to Fall To Pieces.

Can you PM me that demo? I'm interested in it.

  7. Nervous basically goes hand in hand with Scared. If you're nervous about something, you're scared of the wrong thing happening. Like in high school... if you're nervous about a test, you're scared you'll do bad.

I only really like Better and Catcher in the Rye. I'm not a large fan of the others. I hope there are better ones on the album.

  8. Do any of you think that Axl may have some fear about releasing Chinese Democracy? I mean, look at the facts. It's been so long since an album and he's basically stayed in the spotlight. If he releases this and it happens to suck, he may not be given another chance. The public may not care enough about them to worry about a follow-up if CD sucks. Axl's only hope then would be to reform the old GN'R or drop out of the spotlight (I guess he could release a follow-up with another large risk that, if failed, would COMPLETELY shut him out... I mean, who wants to wait 14 years for a CD to suck?). And then who would want to wait a few more years for a follow-up to a sucky CD?

If it's ever released (hopefully it is... I think it will be in a matter of time), it better be good.

  9. I like the new material... I can honestly say that it's the best material GN'R has released in a long time (if you didn't get the joke, it's the only material released in a long time).

Can't wait for CD to come out... I'm staying positive on that, even though I've been let down before. But it'll come out.

sry if there is anymistakes took me some time to type that whole list out. some of those suck, green day made the list, slipknot made 59? and nirvana got 8!

I shortened the list to my favorites. If I had a choice, I'd put The Color and the Shape/One By One/Self-Titled on by the Foo Fighters. Appetite could be #1 on my list... it'd alternate between that and any one of the above mentioned Foo CDs.

  11. if this track is on this disc..or the next one...

Whoa, the first one hasn't even been released yet... already thinking about a second? I know there were plans but I mean come on, it's Axl here so it could be another 10 years after CD, if CD is ever released. Hopefully, but I'm not getting my hopes up again.

  12. Most of their songs aren't too hard. Try something like Scuttle Buttin' or Rude Mood by Stevie Ray Vaughan if you want a challenge. I've played for quite awhile though, and I do remember them being hard when I first learned them. My first GN'R song was Knockin' on Heaven's Door all the way through. Then Sweet Child O' Mine (which has simple rhythm).

  13. To me, Axl couldn't have picked better guitarists to carry on the GN'R name (except for Slash and Izzy/Gilby of vourse, but that'll never happen). I personally like Fortus and Finck... I've liked Finck since the beginning. His look fits GN'R better now, instead of some Hot Topic worker. They sounded good to me.

  14. Yeah, I would never guess that it's the same guy. Fortus there reminds me more of Finck in 2002 than Finck. ANd I actually like the sound of Finck better than the sound of Fortus in that particular solo. It reminds quite a bit of Slash.
