  1. Axl is 'working' on the next album. That guy can tinker on small details of individual songs for 10 years without getting it done.

And while working on an album with tons of effects, overdubs, orchestral arrangements, layers upon layers, multiple guitarists, pro tool vocals; he managed to say 'things can be over-produced' in an interview...

  2. I'm going with the positives some band members including Axl have said about there being music, "the second half of CD" and the remix album, that is already done.

I think there's still a few more years of touring left. Axl will want to get that material out but hard to say what format that will be in and when obviously. I doubt Axl would have set himself up for such a situation saying he has material etc. if he didn't know he could get it out. I guess he could come out and say they blocked me and go into "hiding" but actually that seems to go against the grain of the fun they seem to be having and all the good shit happening, what kind of label would be blocking anything at this point.

Axl is in pole position, endorsed by Ghost Rider at the Lifetime Achievement award, No. 1 Blu ray, Dj "Livin' the Dream" Ashba and a fully loaded band ready for the next record. It feels like we are on the cusp of greatness once again.

Yeah, We'll get the second half of CD, we'll probably get the remix thingy, and a bunch of touring with epic performances of CD ll. Hey, maybe we'll even get a sparkly Axl/Dj/Fortus album (hopefully with Bumble too) on it with a Nikki Sixx guesting on a track, that will be the hit single, but that's me just dreamin'.

Things ain't so bad. At least it feels like Axl will make his move soon.

Didn't Axl once say that he had to make a lot of compromises for AFD? Or UYI?

Anyways, it seems the less compromises he had to make the worse the album got.

  3. As a die-hard GnR fan since 87, it's with disullusionment I see what is happening. It's been a sad state of affairs since 2011, with a couple of exeptions - old songs played again.

As I am always hoping for something great to happen, what is more likely: Reunion or new music? Or....same old touring for a few more years before retirement...?

  4. I can't believe how critical 'we' were of Axl's appearance/weight, voice etc back then. I mean he was pretty fit/moved around a lot, rocked jeans and a t-shirt at times (esp. the UK leg) and vocals were quite consistent. They always rocked out a great' Nightrain' and we got those passionate 'Out Ta Get Me' performances!

Also, the crowds seemed more energetic and into it than these days.

One of my favourite Heaven's Door screams is from Manchester, England 06:
