Got to remember these businesses lost a lot of revenue during covid.  It's now time to recoup some of that.  We wanted them to support their employees during that time with nothing coming in.  They've included that loss in their prices going forward.

Having said that, shit!  Looking like the cheap seats and no merch.  I'm still having a hot dog.  Can't go to the stadium and not get one of those.

They got a PPP loan to pay their crew with.

I scored a pair of all inclusive party suite tix for $389.52 to the St.Louis show. I don't think that's too bad since all food and drinks are included.

By definition, this is an EP, but we all know it's just a fabricated single and a way to get the two songs out on a physical release.

"These extended-length singles became known as maxi singles and while commensurate in length to an EP were distinguished by being designed to feature a single song, with the remaining songs considered B-sides, whereas an EP was designed not to feature a single song, instead resembling a mini album."

    It's a Maxi Single.

  3. Between 1994 and 1996, the band sporadically recorded new material. According to Matt Sorum, in 1996, the band had recorded seven songs, with seven more in the writing stages, and intended to release a single album with 10 or 12 songs in spring 1997.[

Maybe the next album won't just be a bunch of Chinese Democracy leftovers.

The science doesn’t explain why no spike in Chicago after Lollapalooza. Granted there are other factors such as many  may be from other parts of the country, but still they are not seeing an unexpected spike.
As a person who is vaxed, with his wife and son, and a daughter with previous lung issues that is not vaxed, the reward is not worth it on any level for me.

None the less, I’m watching Chicago and Sturgis out of pure curiosity.

I don't know about Sturgis, but Lollapalooza required either proof of vaccination or a negative covid test in order to attend. Unvaccinated were also required to wear a mask.

  5. Axl never cared about politics and voting until Trump won. I remember his 2012 Kimmel interview right before the Obama/Romney election. He said he's never voted. He explained that he lives in California which always votes Democrat, and said that's the way he tends to lean anyhow. This was probably his first year voting. Better late than never I guess.

It's at about the 8:05 mark.

Ignorant? It was based off actual things he saw and went through. Having some dudes try to rape him and the dirty seedy life in LA. That's all.

When I say "ignorant" I mean it as in the Midwest "redneck" attitude. A lot of the song is about his attitude when he first arrived at the LA bus station and the stereotypes that a Midwest teen grows up believing in.  I know about the incident you referred to, some dude let Axl crash on his hotel room floor and then tried to rape Axl, which at that time convinced him that gays were rapists - a negative stereotype that was often perpetuated in those times. Sometimes a person's personal experiences can cause a person to have an ignorant perspective on something, I guess that's what I meant.

As much as the music bangs, it's the sound of a coddled, white millionaire having a tone deaf temper tantrum and coke meltdown and is possibly the most embarrassing thing a band of that size and stature has ever done. It's to the band's credit that they want to forget about it. If you want to sing along and pretend you're sticking it to some invisible boogie man, you still can, whatever, but you're nuts if you think this band in 2018 is ever want to go near that song again.

The song was written before Axl was a millionaire and represents the ignorant attitude of a Midwestern white boy first arriving at the LA bus station.

They had that shirt in the booth outside of our area (432). They didn't have my size anymore by time I made my way up there.
