Well, assuming he knew what was going down, if you were Steven - would you want to be playing at The Whisky whilst your old bandmates were across the road with the hottest ticket in town? :-)

I guess that would depend on how much I needed the money, or if I wanted to try to capitalize on the people who couldn't score tix for the GnR show, hoping they'd settle for coming to my show, lol.

Presales start tomorrow 10 am LOCAL time.

As a foreigner this always confuses me. What does it mean?:  Pre-sales Chicago start at 10 AMChicago time, and pre-sale San Seatle starts 10 AM Seatle time? So basically, not at the same time??? Please clarify for me!

That's exactly it. 10 am LOCAL time. Chicago starts at 10 am Chicago time and so on.

it is more like not being lied to

It's Guns N' Roses, you have to know by now anything can happen with this band. IF they even do a club show prior to Vegas, it's quite possible that Vegas was booked with the intention of being the first shows, then plans changed....

So, I stand by my previous statement : That seems like some spoiled brat mentality to me. " If I can't see the first show, I don't wanna see them at all ". Like a child not getting their way.

Some of you seem to be forgetting that due to Goldenvoice's (Coachella) strict radius protocol, GnR aren't allowed contractually to play any shows in the LA area within three months before, during or after Coachella.

    Link?

It's a common practice for festival promoters to do this. Lollapalooza does it too.

I am not gonna lie, if they have a secret show I am inclined to sell my Vegas tickets, I am traveling about 3,500 Miles for what is "supposed" to be the first show in this reunion, having a show before that is messed up  and is not what the Vegas shows were billed as

That seems like some spoiled brat mentality to me. " If I can't see the first show, I don't wanna see them at all ". Like a child not getting their way.

If you follow wrestling, WWE in particular, this is how they do it.  They don't announce "Guns n' Roses will be at WrestleMania to support the Uso's"  This is how it works, they drop a throw away line then there is silence, then a pre written twitter war, then there is a feud.  They would not come out an announce it, especially with WrestleMania so far off, they drop things in tid bits.

I'm not saying "GnR will be part of WrestleMania, this is proof."  I'm just saying it is inside the realm of possibility.  To think that's "kind of hilarious" just demonstrates that you are unfamiliar with how they work these celeb angles.

Whoever the dude is who plays the Red Arrow on that TV show wrestled a match in WWE.  It started with a throw away comment from Stardust that the Red Arrow "isn't a real superhero."

If I said "Hey, I think this is setting up a thing with the guy from Red Arrow." That would be equally as "hilarious."  But it happened.

I'm not saying it's a sure thing, far from it, but this 100% follows the MO for a WWE Celeb interaction.

Dude, I've been following wrestling for 33 years, I'm very familiar with how they set things up, and this isn't it. If you actually pay attention, you can usually tell when something is being used or said to set up an angle. There is no angle here, just a throwaway comment from a couple of aging wrestlers. Also, considering they are struggling to try to fill a 100,000 capacity venue for Wrestlemania, you can bet your ass they'd be promoting the fuck out of a GnR reunion appearance.

  7. If Slash & Duff are smart there's a clause that will prevent Axl from going out under the GnR name without Slash & Duff's involvement, or consent. Kinda like how Ozzy did Tony with Sabbath once they reunited in 97, hence the "Heaven & Hell" thing with Dio in 2007.

Tony owns the name to Sabbath just like Axl with GN'R. How did Ozzy convince Tony to do what you said? Maybe Tony really needed the money from that reunion with Ozzy. Who knows.

Iommi, owner of the Black Sabbath name, decided to call the touring group Heaven & Hell[1] to differentiate the project from the Ozzy Osbourne-led Black Sabbath.[2] The moniker was taken from the first Dio-fronted Black Sabbath album,Heaven and Hell. According to Iommi, the name change was made so that fans at concerts would not expect "to hear “Iron Man” and “War Pigs” and all that... it’s none of the old stuff, it’s none of the Ozzy period. It’s all Dio stuff. So by calling ourselves Heaven and Hell, it’s revisiting that period."[3]

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heaven_%26_Hell_(band)

That doesn't answer the question I asked.

For the real answer you probably would have to ask Sharon. The fact is, without Ozzy, Tony was playing in shitholes, with Ozzy he was playing arenas. I guess that's incentive enough.

Back when the reunion happened in 97 it was reported through various outlets that a deal was struck to do a reunion and that Tony would retain rights to the Sabbath name, but couldn't tour under the name without Ozzy, or his consent. It's funny you mention Iommi playing shitholes before the reunion, because what, 5 or 6 years ago, Ozzy sued Iommi over merchandise royalties and in the complaint it mentioned how before the 97 reunion the Sabbath name was a damaged brand and Iommi was playing in venues 1/10 the size of venues they played with Ozzy involved.

  8. Slash has already said the album will be out in 2016, but no touring due to other commitments.

A report by AlternativeNation revealed Slash sharing details of the new album. He said, "Plans for 2016 changed a little bit.... Hellwithin filming early 2016, then new Conspirators record in the spring then No Conspirators tour cause Myles has to go back to AB until the end of 2016."

  9. Well, boo hoo...

It's gonna be Axl, Slash and Duff on the same stage first time since 1993. If you're not satisfied with that, stay home. Simple as that. This re-grouping is a dream come true, from a fan's point of view. In my opinion anyway. I mean, who would have thought it would ever happen? And yet, people are still bitching? I don't care about that kind of negativity.

Of course everybody are entitled to their opinions, but... I don't know. It's easy to bitch about things on the internet. People should be more positive.

That is the point.. A lot of people are staying home and it isn't a dream come true for most people.. This thing could have been huge..I am a fan.. I have been waiting for 23 years to see Guns N' Roses again.. This isn't it.. This still resembles NuGnR more than anything esle... It will also sound more like NuGnR than than anything else..

I don't think has to be the original 5 or bust but to have the original members outnumbered onstage just doesn't work.. Chris Pittman.. Just doesn't work... And unless Frank sucks it up and plays the songs like they should be played.. He doesn't work..

You can bet your ass over half the people bitching on FB and the rest of the net will be the first ones trying to score themselves tickets. People are just stupid , they bitch for the sake of just having SOMETHING to bitch about.

  10. Harnell leaving so soon was a surprise. You start wondering why they can't keep a vocalist...

Baz and Rob Affuso have both said they'd be interested in a reunion. How many singers are Rachel and Snake going to go through before they get over 20 year old bs? Their creative peak was with Baz and Rob in the band. Maybe they don't care, but their fanbase certainly does. Bach has put out several very good albums since the split, while the brand of Skid Row has put out nothing above mediocre.

To be fair, Johnny was with them for 13 years, it's not like they've had a revolving door of lead singers over the last 20 years. I agree though about Sebastian's solo albums blowing away anything Skid Row has done without him. I have witnessed first hand that Rachel gets a big ol' stick up his ass if you even mention Sebastian around him, the others don't seem to get as bothered by it, which leads me to believe that Rachel is the one preventing any reunion.

  11. In addition to Taylors enthusiasm for the idea of a classic GNR reunion, current Gunner Tommy Stinson recently weighed in that he hoped that the old lineup would reunite as well. Stinson has a unique perspective as his former band The Replacements had one of the most highly regarded reunions in recent years. Stinson stated in a recent interview, Ill be perfectly honest with you, man. I hope they do because when you go back to where you started from and just check that out, and feel that for a moment after youve gone on and done all these other things, you know, theres a reward that comes with that, and I had that with the Mats. Its a good thing; its a good thing to do once in a while. And I hope it works out for em, if it actually happens.

Pretty sure Stinson is just fine with everything. On a side note, does this mean Corey Taylor retires?:lol:

Nah Corey said he'd only do that if it was all five members of the AFD line-up touring, and at this point, that seems pretty unlikely

That loudmouth wouldn't retire if it was all 5 original guys.
