It's called You Tube bro
I meant a professionally recorded and mixed, official release, which would be really nice.

I would imagine State of Grace and Monsters are the next two tracks after The General. A completed State of Grace would be a nice single.

This would be even more insane if they play Monsters later in the set tonight too

Any differences from the leak? WE NEED DETAILS! LOL

I am confident that The General and Monsters are two parts of the same song, and that they are not the whole song. I bet there's a bridge connecting the two and possibly another section in there as well, and an outro. In terms of song structure, it's highly unlikely that they are two separate songs. They are both incomplete sections.

been listening to these songs the whole morning and cant really understand why havent they hired a professional engineer to handle the mix and mastering. The songs are amazing but they end up being really painful to listen to, theres no clarity in anything at all… Its like someone is trying and failing hard to be Phil Spector.
Well, these are not the final mixes though.

I was at the show and I have to say, it was one of the best GNR shows I've ever seen! I had low expectations from all the comments I've been reading about the current tour on here, but I was very pleasantly surprised. Axl and the band sounded really great. I've seen them in several tours, and this is by far the happiest and healthiest I've ever seen Axl. The band overall looks like they are enjoying playing with each other and are much more cohesive than the previous couple of legs of the reunion. Sure, a few of the new songs were rough, but this is standard for GNR since the Illusion tours, playing long shows and having several standouts and a few duds. I really appreciate the variety in the setlist and the length of the show. The crowd was having a great time and were really into it. Some older folks left before the last few songs, but that's partly because the GNR fans are not as young as they used to be, a fair number of people were clearly in their 60's and 70's. Some folks don't have the stamina for a 3 hour plus rock show anymore. I'm amazed at the energy Axl , Slash and Duff showed last night at their age! Overall this reminded me the most by far of the Illusions era shows with the setlist variety, length, the mood of the band and the feel of the show. By the way, Absurd is fantastic live! I was lukewarm on the studio version, but they kill it live. Hardskool was a disaster and and Perhaps was so-so.

People forget that demos of a lot of the Appetite and Illusions songs existed long before those albums came out too, with various people playing on them or sometimes just Axl. The old piano demos of november rain and some tracks that never made the albums too. It's not unusual for GNR to resurrect demos from years ago over a long period of time with different personnel to make an album, it's been their MO from the beginning

The more I listen to it, this is the best GNR song they have released in ages! I love it! I would love to see more stuff like this coming soon.
-
Great song. The question is can Axl sing it well enough nowadays live?
-
I have no idea what kind of commercial reception this type of stuff gets in today's music scene, but this song is legit old school GNR. Love it!!

Honestly, that makes the song even worse. That really doesn’t prove anything. If it is all a big joke, then we can have a shitty song and another decade of silence?
I guess I don’t understand the whole joke angle. Even for people who enjoy the song and think it’s a big joke. Doesn’t it seem like there should be more to follow? If we only get one turd of a song as a joke and nothing else from all this, then I hope the people that enjoy this song really, REALLY enjoy it.
I think some people misunderstood what his joke was. It was that he said its absurd that they are playing this while the crowd didn't know yet that the song was actually named Absurd. It was a simple play on words, a cheesy joke, nothing more and nothing implying that the song itself is a joke.

I just watched again Fenway gig and Absurd and I was literally laughing my ass off when Axl sang ,,screaming fucking banshees" and pointing finger directly to the crowd :)))
my guess is... they never cared, from their begining, what others think, they just do it their way. And that is what draw me to them from the first time in 1991.
so I will just enjoy the ride and enjoy the life in its fullness
Exactly, it's pure GNR in that sense. You can also clearly tell that the band are loving this song, Slash especially. If they are making music that they love, more power to them.

It actually rocks the fuck out and shows the old GnR attitude imo. They apparently don't give a crap because this has no chance of getting airplay due to the lyrics alone.

Reunion easily. These guys are old, they couldn't afford to wait any longer and still have a great tour and bring GnR to a new generation.. I'm so glad they did it!
The Chinese Democracy Era songs are all still there in the vault, they are not going away , they can release them whenever they like or even rework some of them with the Reunion lineup.

Fucking incredible show!! These guys played from about 7:30 PM up until 11 PM, literally 3 and a half hours! And it was all non-stop energy, I don't know how they do it!!

This is a really great track. So gritty and dark with industrial tones and I love Slash's guitar work on it. Some of Axl's most sincere and dark lyrics ever. Is it hit single type material? No at all. And it's too short to be a classic GNR epic, but it doesn't have to be any of these things. It's a great track with some new musical direction and both Axl and Slash look really into it when they played it. Very glad to have it and I look forward to more stuff like this!
