Its Slash - Axl- Duff...Guns n fucking Roses for the most part...all i ever wanted.  Set lists- see my 1st sentence.  They are kicking ass again!

Exactly. I don't get why some people still have to complain. Izzy and Duff were gone from GNR long, long ago, throughout most of the UYI tours. Did people complain that the lineup with Sorum and Gilby where not GNR? They sure as heck were! That was the lineup most people saw before the Axl-Slash breakup. That's basically the lineup we have now but with two better musicians in Fortus and Frank than Sorum and Gilby. Dizzy has been here forever. Get over it. Axl-Slash-Duff-Dizzy plus a rhythm guitarist and drummer is GNR. I myself TOTALLY LOVE this tour. The band I saw this month is AMAZING, and it IS GNR.

  2. It would be great promotion for the band at this stage in their careers and at this day and age. Would any GNR fans not buy tickets because of the opener? Hell no. Would any non-GNR or casual fans buy tickets because someone like Lana Del Rey is opening. Yes, most definitely. It can shift the tour and the audience from being a nostalgia tour of middle-aged metal heads to a totally popular 'in the now' tour with a mixed crowd.

  3. For everyone saying Slash was too quiet, the dude has to be, because of his pacemaker:

“When the doctors put the defibrillator in me, it was for maintaining a normal heart rate. For most people this isn’t a problem, but it was for me.

“Once I get up onstage my heart rate sky-rockets. When I took the stage with Michael and got into it, I was suddenly hit in the chest by a shock and my vision flooded with electric blue light.

“This happened about four times during each song, and I had no idea what was going on.

“I thought I had a short-circuit in a guitar cable or a photographer’s flash had popped in my eyes.

“Each time it happened I had to stand there and make it look as if everything was normal. I saw it later on TV and you couldn’t tell, so I guess I pulled it off.

“It was extremely disconcerting until I figured out what was what.”

You can imagine that his heart rate could have easily skyrocketed during last nights show if he was not careful!

  5. I'm still a bit in disbelief and bracing myself for several potential disasters that tend to follow Axl and this band, like Axl not showing up, or a riot, or a fight onstage, or just Axl sounding like shit. I hope none of those things happen, but I honestly can't get too excited until they manage to play a show or two without any disasters. If they do, then shit's real and I'll be totally excited.

  6. Looks like he hates taking pics with those people.... yet he keeps allowing photos with him....

well, he's making an effort for his fans, I respect him for it. He may realize that as much as it may be a nuisance to him, it's a huge deal to those fans

  7. It is certainly intriguing that multiple people who worked on or heard the album prior to its release stated that the strongest tracks of the entire bunch were some of the ones that remain unreleased.

Bach and Brain listed The General as their favorite (or one of the best)

Marco Beltrami worked on Seven, Soul Monster, The General, and Thyme. Stated that Seven was the best of the bunch.

Axl said that Soul Monster may be his favorite of the group

    Pitman listed "Beta's Barn"

I believe Tom Zutaut said Atlas Shrugged was one of the better songs

I think Axl said in the chats that "Checkmate" was a bogus titile, the working title of that song was Jackie Chan

Why would a band do that?

A comeback album, which took over a decade to release, your trying to jumpstart (and introduce) an entire new band to the public that will make them get over what happened with Duff/Slash/Izzy...........and you purposely choose NOT to put the best songs on it? And not only that, you then sit on those "best songs" for another decade????? It really makes no sense.

Because there was a ton of legal crap surrounding the release of CD, and maybe Axl threw them off track to what the best songs were, gave them some of the easier listening pop tracks and said fuck off.
