On our trips to Nepal and Java, my girlfriend and I were constantly asked to take pictures with people. That left a lasting impression of how it must feel to be a celebrity and be raided by fans, so I do sympathize. Still I guess it's in the nature of the beast of how one reacts to it. One can still be polite.

My bloody valentine.
They actually handed out earplugs to everyone prior to entering the venue and had sign warning people to wear them. I remember this guy in front of us acting cool like he didn't need them. At first he was doing ok, but a few songs into the set he was desperately searching for them. They close their set with a huge cacophonous earblistering noise that goes on for at least ten minutes. It was like having your face in front of an airplane engine on full power.

As far as pop music goes, this guy does have an incredible amount of talent. And he puts on a great live show all by himself. So yeah, kudos to him.

Seeing them in Las Vegas twice last year was one of the best experiences of my life, and I can die a happy man. Having them walk on stage again in London gave me goosebumps yet again. However, I've seen a bunch of European shows now, and while Slash absolutely kills it, Axl's voice is just really dragging me down. I'll enjoy the shit out of Nijmegen with a bunch of friends, but I'm probably done buying tickets in advance from now on. Need to check out some YouTube vids to analyze Axl's voice and first and decide to buy (a) ticket(s) on the secondary market.

To see the overall performance he's delivering to GNR fans in his mid-50s and then focus on the negatives is really harsh. He and the rest of the band are wowing audiences in 2017. It's something to be celebrated, not picked apart.
I'm sure everybody would rather have him rasp than do some running around the stage. Even so, you don't catch Steven Tyler or Mick Jagger running out of breath, because they work out a lot.
Everybody's entitled to their opinion. It wouldn't be a discussion forum if everybody had the same opinion.

I have to stick up for DieselDaisy here. You don't get the right to give an opinion if you've only attended the shows. The video comparison of AC/DC and GNR says it all. Having attended the 2010 tour twice, the Vegas shows and AC/DC, I can say I've seen tremendous performances by Axl. And age is no excuse because there were 6 years between the said performances and the last one was just over a year ago. Personally, I think he feels he has less to prove. 2010 he was pissed off over the Chinese democracy debacle and it was supposedly going to be his last tour. Before the Vegas shows, he had to rehearse with AC/DC (a true godsend) and of course the excitement for the reunion and a huge tour following it meant he had to prove he still has it. AC/DC he had to win over everybody. Now, Fast forward a year, tickets have been sold and he'll give enough to get by. It's a shame it's hit and miss, but there you go.

Having attended both nights in Vegas and both nights in London, I can state that there is a HUGE difference in quality of performance by Axl. Could be because he was chair bound and thus not out of breath. But given his AC/DC stint, I believe he's just not giving it his all.

I thought last night was way better. Slash had a lot of f#ckups tonight. The whole band seemed more into it yesterday. Ah well, two nights of rock n f#cking roll!

I think 99% of support bands are a total waste of time. A total shame I have to waste my time actually watching them. I prefer set seats, so I can show up when I want to.
That 1% have been good though. Most notably AC/DC opening for The Rolling Stones in Germany.

It started with negotiations with Coachella.
They offered Axl a reunion deal as long as Slash and Duff were in.Then of course the thought process came of why having to split the money. Greed. All there is to it.

Pretty much double the sale price or more... but they are available if you're willing to pay. Honestly nowhere near as bad a markup as the lithographs
