  1. Perhaps. But let's give it some time. I think that, with a great a follow up, "the CD saga" will be able to make it into some "the greatest albums of all time" lists.

Sorry but the only greatest lists CD will ever make is greatest disappointments. A quick google search demonstrates that fact:

It's an album for the most hardcore Axl Rose fans only, ie. people who like Axl Rose far more than they like the band Guns N' Roses.

  2. How do you have a song like Prostitute then do a MTV video for it with naked chicks and pirates running around?

Could try it without the naked chicks since the prostitute in the song is Axl himself. Maybe a nude Axl video? Kind of like Don't Cry without the green body paint.

  3. The best strategy in my own selfish opinion is for

1 - axl to crawl out of his own ass

2 - the rest of nu gnr to crawl out of axls ass

3 - the hangers on / yes men to crawl out of axls ass

4 - axl needs to take a look at himself and stop being a little bitch and just write some music that doesn't involve 20 yrs of " finishing touches "

5 - get a steady BAND together and stop calling it GNR unless he reunites the band with the appetite/ UYI lineups

6 - COMMUNICATION with the band and fans would be a step in the right direction, I mean it's not hard is it? There's a world of vast interaction out there for free!

I agree, but I don't think Axl is capable of doing any of these things after having lived this lifestyle for so long.

GUNS N' ROSES Is: W. Axl Rose, Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal, Richard Fortus, Darren Jay Ashba , Tommy Stinson ,Dizzy Reed, Chris Pitman, Frank Ferrer

Yes, according to Axl and his team of lawyers. However, some of us think Guns N' Roses means something more than what you read in the small print of legal documents.

  4. not at all impressed if i'm being honest

not at all impressed if i'm being honest

So you joined a forum to talk about a band you don't like? Weird.

I think one of the main reasons people like the clip is because it sounds like old-school rock and roll. While I loved the last album, I'm hoping the next one has some more straight forward rock-and-roll (think Jungle, Nightrain, YCBM) and checkmate sounds like it might be just that.

And I still think there was another longer version out there. NOT the relooped one that just repeats itself. I swear that right after it was first leaked, somebody had a version that had 3-4 more lines of singing. Again, NOT the looped version. The ending was different words.

I agree with him, it doesn't sound like much. It sounds like old-school rock in a bad way. Like something Sebastian Back would be singing on a solo album. Not surprised it didn't make the cut for CD.

  5. "Heed ye not the false riffage of Buckethead and Robin Fink (though Buckethead can totally shred, I mean, have you seen that guy?)."

Is that a quote from the show?

Yes, it's written in the story book about Slash.

  6. I'd be very surprised if Axl ever releases another album. The way he talked about CD being "one nightmare after another" and how it even seemed like the whole release was somehow rushed in the end despite being delayed and worked on for more than a decade, I just don't think he enjoys the experience at all.

  7. Just to clear up the confusion, the House of Blues is inside the Mandalay Bay. This was the first show the new band did in the early hours of 1.1.01. It was easily the most memorable show I've attended, and there's a good audio bootleg of it. They returned to Vegas a year later to play two shows at the Joint in the Hard Rock Hotel, but there are no bootlegs of those two.

  8. It could be marketed as "Chinese Democracy - The Ultimate Edition" or "Chinese Democracy - The Complete Set". This is, in my opinion, the best way to put out whatever else is finished, or has been remixed, from the Chinese Democray era.

This could only make sense if they marketed it as a collector's item and charged $100+ for it, since the only people who would buy it are the fans who will buy anything with Axl's name on it. Basically it would have to be marketed to the people who already bought it once already. The general public have already demonstrated that they're not even going to pay $10 for it, so charging $100+ and just targetting the most ardent internet fans would make the most economic sense.

  9. There is nothing wrong with the setlist, critisise after you attend a concert

Obviously the people who criticize the setlists are the ones who go to the most concerts. That's why they'd like to see some surprises.

No, is not true the ones who complain the most do not go to many if any concerts and they judge from Utube videos, If they would actually go to a concert they would not be disappointed and find fault

That's bullshit. The people who go to the most shows are the ones who want to see the setlists change. The people who only go to one show don't complain because they don't see enough shows to care.
