  1. I really like The Killers and I'm not ashamed to say it :)

i still think their first album was better than the second though.. i listened to Hot Fuss a lot when it came out, Jenny, On Top, ATTTID.. all amazing songs

off their new album i like Bones and Read My Mind the best

oh and i forgot, the bonus tracks All The Pretty Faces and Daddy's Eyes are greaat!

  2. That review gave me a great feeling, the feeling of being a fan of the best rockband out there! I'll be so proud once CD is out there and rocking the planet!

Kick ass article, thanks for sharing.

yeah, that article kinda made me feel hope for something epic to result, I know it is unlikey, but could you imagine if this album actually was a huge hit? Not just 2- mill, but 5-8 mill? wow, how great would that be for music in general?

that, my friend, would not only be a huge joy for us GN'R fans but would be so convenient for today's music scene.. a rock band like GN'R taking the spotlight once again.. lots of things would improve

  3. When Axl was introducing the band, he says "Mr Tommy Stintson. Tommy, time for your bass solo." Then three seconds later he says "OK. On drums ...." It was pretty funny, even Tommy laughed. At the end of the show when everybody took off, Tommy left his bass on stage. Axl actually picked up the bass off the stage and said "Where's Tommy? Somebody go throw this at him." Laughing as he said it.

    awesome.

good review, and yeah...robin IS the man!

hahaa that's amazing, taking the piss of the pigeons of shit metal words?

and the solo joke should have been with Pitman  lol

  4. i'm just guessing here as we all are, i think Axl wrote all the lyrics (and maybe some music, like piano parts) and then the other guys wrote the music, but i don't know how did they share it, all we know for sure is that Robin wrote Better's music

  5. fact of life: Rockers always look better with eyeliner on.

    haha true! ^

btw, @ Darth Vader: right, this just makes me more excited for CD's artwork!! i think it's gonna be legendary, everything about CD, artwork included

  6. The black and white pics are great, very natural. He's got way too much make-up on in the color photos. He almost looks "fake" in them.

you can say that ^ but i just love the make up somehow, it works for the photoshoot, it makes it more artsy/glam

  7. thanks for the scans, although crappy still very much appreciated!!! :)

wow, i still love the red shirt one and now i also love the one with the cigar, the other ones are badass but why does he have to be with a woman??:P

  8. cool Indianna Rose, i just thought people still complained about the cornrows

btw, this topic and photoshoot reminds me of GQ issue from September.. i think there was another article of sorts there?? did it have new pics as well? no right? where can i find the scans for that article?

  9. i might be in the minority here, but i don't think he looks bad at all, i mean his look now, the goatee and cornrows, etc.. i really like it, i guess i got used to it, but i think he looks handsome in his unique own way, and i'm not missing young Axl anymore

  10. Show of the Year: RIR 5 (not the best at all, just the best in what represents for me, the first webcast, i was so excited to see this show in my comp! :) )

Guitarist of the Year: Robin Finck!!

    Best ''leaked'' song: TWAT

Most shocking news of 2006: Izzy tours with GN'R / no CD this year

Guitar solo of the Year: Richard & Robin ~ Beautiful

    rock3

  11. I really want BIG scans of this :(

the one with the red shirt is smokin!! i guess what someone above said aout Jack Sparrow is a bit true.. and i love Jack Sparrow

Axl is looking hot!!! how come we missed his first photoshoot in years?? i thought this woulda been bigger news around here

  12. I like Bumble, but somehow he's my least favorite of the 3 guitarists.. i think he improvises a lot sometimes, TWAT live, although obviously you can't compare it to the demo as it's been played only twice, fails mostly because of Ron's playing, too much improvisation, and i spot some other songs with the same problem

now, that being said, he does a great job in the NR outro and the Don't Cry solo, that's true

  13. Dude, the emails are copies of ones he sent out - not ones he received.

To be honest, the first time I read it I thought he was asking us - as fans - to tell him which comments should be posted on the site. I was thrown off by the way he dropped them at the end of his letter to the fans. But now as I re-read them it makes sense and also makes Axl look like he basically stole Merck's idea and beat him to it! Poor Merck. Oh well. Glad we got a statement.

not at all, Axl couldn't possibly had stolen anything from Merck cuz the two letters (Axl's and Merck's) are way different!! Merck's options are almost comical whereas Axl's letter is a whole lot more honest and professional if you ask me.. i'm glad Axl didn't use Merck's options, the fans reaction woulda been a lot different otherwise

and he didn't just drop them at the end, if you read the very beginning of his letter he explains he had written the blueprint of Axl's letter and that he had attached it below.. the blueprint makes reference to the first paragraph of what was sent in an email to Axl and what has the most similarity to what ended up as Axl's letter, while the actual options he presented to Axl to use as letters were scrapped and never used

  14. wow, i'm only now reading this.. Shocked

you know, it makes a LOT of sense!!! guess the inspiration or lack of for that matter is Axl's karma lol

it definetely explains the constant delay of CD and I can't blame him really, i'm in the creative business as well (graphic design) and inspiration can be a bitch..

i'm happy to see Ron and Frank has both contributed to the album, and that Robin has an important role in making it a big success! I really heart Robin, he's so creative!

this letter, although not as cool as Axl's, explains a lot more realistically what went down this year since February, all the time spans make perfect sense, and everything falls into place after reading this..

while this letter makes me think a bit better of Merck, it still makes me glad Axl fired him because of the two option letters he wrote.. LMAO!!!! i'm WAY happy we didn't get any of those letters as Axl's response.. they suck!!! lol!! Axl's letter is much more proffesional and honest.. these ones from Merck are kinda comical to tell the truth.. as are all his comments always (though i've got to admit we were harsh with him about the rolling stone comment, knowing now that it was a piss take on the magazine)

  15. damn man, excellent post, but so damn heartbreaking! :(:o

and Merck had all of us fooled with his little joke about the tuesdays thing.. it took a life of its own, there's people still thinking it can come out one of this tuesdays.. i wonder if he really is aware of the harm he did with that stupid joke
