You're going by what someone told you. A video is better proof than a story if you ask me.

Sure, it can feel packed if you're standing in any crowd. Sure, Axl sounds amazing when you are right there (another example). But that doesn't mean it was either packed or that Axl sounded amazing.

I'm not attacking you or anything, I just didn't get why you shot him down for judging something based on what he sees in a video. Only to come with a counterargument based on hearsay.

EDIT: Also not saying that anyone is right or wrong here btw, I'm just enjoying the Locomotive video

Didn't shoot anyone down. Was told by a friend who attended that there was 100,000 + people in attendance for gnr by his/her estimation and they also had the largest crowd by far out of all performers. From the pics and vids I've seen, he/she wasn't exaggerating or lying. I'm just relaying what I was told so don't shoot the messenger 👍🏻

Edit: - Enjoy the Loco vid while you can because some moron gets a kick out of having them removed so nobody gets to enjoy them. Pretty communistic thing to do as far as I'm concerned

Really bad attendance. It seems that the place is less than the half of its capacity.

The place was packed actually. According to someone that was actually there. Said gnr had more people in attendance than any other performer so... Not sure why you thought it was a "Really bad attendance." If you're going by a vid posted from the side of the stage? Lmfao 😂

I would think he's just saying he's gonna be there, but is actually staying at home. Then he posts a picture of one of his previous concert and say he was there for real, just to sound like he's defying the band.

Well going by his fb he's either there or one of his friends is there and is relaying him pics because I just saw one of the festival stage guns is playing on 😂

I predict Rick is gonna post selfies from the front row a couple hours before GnR hits the stage, then be surprised when he gets kicked out.

Yeah all of the above plus gets arrested. I don't understand why he insists on telegraphing his every move. Makes me think this whole thing is just one gigantic troll and he's somehow part of it but highly unlikely

Hate to say that, unfortunately, due to school, I can only go on Saturday. It’s upsetting, but it’s not like the guys are ever gonna stop touring.

Zero guarantees for anyone/anything is more like it. Nobody knows what the future may bring. Guns could be gone today/tomorrow/whenever... 😳

  6. I get the whole Steven Adler being a potential liability. I also get Izzy being Izzy. It would be nice to see them both up there for a few tunes once in awhile as special guests. Izzy used to show up here and there back in the day. Wish he'd do some more of those again because they were special moments. For me they were anyway. It'd be super sweet if Izzy was a contributer in the studio for any potential new future releases as well.

Make it happen please Axl 👍🏻😁

Cause there's no time for breathing. They chopped that vocal track in studio a lot, it's overlapping a bit (or close to it) on a lot of lines. Kinda like what they do with rap songs. Try to follow Axl just with speaking and pronounce every word and you'll see what I mean

    Thanks. Makes sense to me

I still think Axl did a pretty decent job myself. I've always loved that song and really glad they finally dusted it off and hope it stays because it rocks

Just to be clear, I don't think any of the staff have ever said it's OK to leak music.

However, discussing GNR music is a big part of this forum so we've allowed people to discuss the leaks because it's GNR music and there's very little of that to go around.

Allowing posting and discussion of emails that were always meant to be private (financial info and so on) just seems wrong to me.

Yeah. I tend to agree with this. It's like doxxing people pretty much and could do a whole lot more damage to a persons career/life/mental state of mind than leaked tunes ever could. Let's be honest here because Axl/Guns can always write more songs and make more money but some damage once done... impossible to undue in most cases

Maybe, but if you understood what I meant it was simply if certain people are holding out hope of hearing other songs in the deep cut category (which judging on this thread alone suggests there’s plenty)that haven’t been pulled out for years then this gives them hope. Locomotive is probably the hardest one of all for axl and that’s why people were surprised they dusted it off.

I've never really understood why Loco's so hard for Axl to sing myself. It's not like he has to do long Jungle and LALD sustained raspy screams. Maybe it's just me and I'm not getting it? I'm not Axl either so can't speak for the dude

I do think he did a pretty fucking good job after not singing it for 22 years or whatever it is 👍🏻😁

  10. I've been a gnr follower since afd and doing covers like bhs/wichita line/others indefinitely makes zero sense. Especially after 3 years. They can do what they want to obviously but variety is the spice of life they say. Bet you a nickel they all felt happy after dusting off Loco. They all probably needed that. Hopefully it inspires them to keep doing more of the same 👍🏻

I saw 21 shows on that tour. And I saw no one fall asleep. If you can't appreciate a band giving you something for your money and giving their all for 3 and a half hours, maybe that band isn't for you.

I totally appreciate the 3 hour show but I'd appreciate them dropping most of these covers to replace them with their own songs. Preferably newer ones. Playing Locomotive was a good start

I think he sounded great, despite obviously having himself too low in his monitor mix from the start. Notice how right at the beginning he signals to the sound guy to turn him up in his mix and then tinkers with his amp on the belt. The studio version has layered vocals and some sound effects on the vocals, so I think Axl gave it a really solid rendition. Try singing that shit (or YCBM or Coma for that matter), I don't know what the guy was thinking when he wrote these song - fantastic music, but you basically need reanimation after performing it. I think he was great last night, hope they keep it in the set.

Totally agree. It was never an easy tune to sing live when he was much younger. Axl did a pretty decent job as far as I'm concerned. He threw the mic up in the air at the end so yeah he was having some mic/mix tech problems from the looks of it

Either way, I'm super happy they played it!! 😃👍🏻

    Thanks Axl 🍻

I agree 100 percent. For a band that despises Trump, this is some straight petty ass Trump like bullshit. I’ve always supported TB, and will continue to do so, but a truly professional management team would not have taken this action. Fernando needs sometime in Sedona. Unless, of course, these songs were in consideration for an upcoming and proper release, and the leaks have fucked up that plan, then it’s Trump like bullshit.

Why u dragging Trump into this? Wtf?? Just out of curiousity, do you watch a lot of CNN or just a little? 😳
