No, they’re not on the list and on that day is the Hawaii concert.

The stage in the pic is being used for a concert after GNR, on Saturday. The Global Citizen event. Mandela birthday centenary, etc. So some tech is shared.
oh, I’ll be there at the show. I live in Jhb, so for out of towners who may need tips and help, hit me up, I’ll be there.

I have really bad luck when it comes to burning CDs. What is the best program to burn in? What is the best brand of CD to use? (Memorex really fucked me over..)
Nero Burning Software.
use Verbatim cd's.

Rumours about Tommy
what are those?
i thought it was a crap comment which was explained already....how come its still a rumour?
-
I got the impression it was going to be/meant to be a weekly article.I don't know how often I will update it and since GN'R are on tour, I have other duties that need to be tended to but every now and then I'll do my best to scribble out some lines.
-
one thing at a time.
they don't even have a decent official site.....let's get that fixed first.
-
what gnr need to do now, is pull off a couple of shows where they start at 21h00 on the dot.....just to freak everyone out.
-
ugh, this has to end now...
-
i don't see how that was newsworthy...even if it s arumor, it ain't very new or innovative...
everyone knows Axl Rose has been having record company issues since 1986....nothing's changed...
-
So many Gn'R fans are so mindless that if Axl went on stage and said, " I think the Beatles suck" , there would be a ton of people on here the next day bashing the Beatles! Most of you who are making these lame "Pigeons" jokes have never even heard EODM. But since Axl doesn't like them (when by most accounts, he wasn't even there to see them play) thats reason enough for you to hate them. Learn to form your own opinions for gods sake!
well put.

the interesting thing is that Merck didn't deny that comment from EDOM where they said that GNR management phoned them back to apologise....
all he said was untrue was the axl vs tommy incident....
nothing else that dude mentioned.
i think there is merit in both stories.
-
either way, it wasn't cool of him to take a stab at them publicly like that....he could have simply asked his management to remove them from the shows, and then issue a statement if anyone asks....
that....and the throwing out a person thing....means he's back to his usual self...
which i have to say i really do enjoy....
i still think he had a better time in Europe, the US crowd cannot be satisfied the same way as the europeans, and he should have prepared himself a little better before starting off the us leg of the tour.
-
I just cannot see anything else other than Mercks departure from Sanctuary holding up the album
i just cannot see anything else other than Merck holding up the album...period.
with or without Sanctuary...
that dude is bad news.

GNR fans are now being treat like a press release is a crumb thrown down from the Gods.
yes, but don't forget that they're doing it all "for the fans"....
-
I wouldn't be surprised if he came here looking for updates on the band..
great post.
management is not one of Merck's strong points...clearly visible with the enormous success Sanctuary is busy enjoying right now...
this guys should be released of his duties, and Axl should either let his lawyers handle all of his shit (as they seem to be able to get shit done), or just let Universal deal with it.
this middle management crap is not working.
-
The chance to make music with Axl Rose's voice is so great that a lot of musicians will put themselves through shit for it.
exactly.
I'd do it for free.

lemme guess:
your parents bought you a guitar when you were 13 so you could become the next great guitar hero. it sat in your room for 5 years and when you brought it to college you thought it would get you some tail. you learned a few chords and songs, but mostly, it sat in your dorm for 4 years, where you hung clothes on it. you kept it around after you graduated, but mainly just dicked around on it and just like in college it mostly just sat around. now you're making a decent living and buy guitars to hang on your office wall and impress clients.
either that or you just started playing and you're completely bullshitting about playing for 20 years because that's about 5 years longer than you've been on this earth.
as far as BBF goes. he's the greatest member this band's seen in a long fucking time. i had the opportunity to meet him, and nowhere is there any kind of image beyond his own personality.
you're truly and idiot and i can't believe i wasted even 3 minutes typing this.
well fucking said...
bbf plays beautifully, i had the opp to see him live, and i enjoyed every minute of it.
in terms of visual appearance, he could do more, but who cares really....its him and his style...
let's hope he sticks around.

Talked to my local cd-station today, they're reply was; "Axl's still around? new cd? don't think so dude"
my local shop has it listed as a forthcoming release, but next to the actual date of delivery, it says....unconfirmed.

"2005 IS THE YEAR OF GN'R!"
the first sign that made me laugh out-loud
i'll pay money to see that at a concert.

That was a big, big show. Just under 4 hours, note perfect, massive crowd, really well executed. As a fan, i feel like i got my money's worth. Promoter could have done a better job with some audio mixing, and the merchandise stands weren't as accessible as they should have been, very long lines, but overall it was one hell of a gig.
