  1. I think that december 19th is too close for christmas, bearing in mind the proportion of CDs that are ordered online nowadays, and the state of the postal service just before Christmas. I reckon mid november would be the best time for GN'R to capitalise on christmas sales.

if its to be in stores for xmas, then the album is theoretically "out" already, as the industry buyers get their stock and make purchases before november.....end of second week in november at the absolute latest....and then it goes in shops a few weeks later....

unless axl has a different method or medium to release it....

  2. maybe if people stop posting what they think is to be the relsease date for CD they should keep it to them slefs and Axl will accuttly put the thing out eveytime he plans on putting out you guys leak it and he waits

oh for god's sake....go and hide somewhere.

  3. it doesn't matter if they re-record it....if bucket WROTE those parts...they gotta pay him royalties....

so the question is no whether they should re-record it or not....its whether they should rewrite it or not.

personally i don't think they did so...but one never knows.

if they didn't, then they might as well leave him on there...it would be great to hear his work.

but then again, all we have to do is count the lawsuits when the album comes out and we'll find out who is suing him for what....i just have this feeling that bucket will be standing in line waiting for his turn in the courtroom with uncle axl.

  4. Here's the direct link if it helps....

    http://web.gunsnroses.com/media/video.jsp?mode=high

thank you, i've been trying that also for days now....but wmp just stops after trying to connect for a while....tried on 5 different machines with 2 different versions of windows media....shijeeet...even went to download the v11 of the player, and its still the same.

wonderif its got something to do with the fact that i'm at the bottom of the world.....perhaps.

no one managed to get the raw video file yet did they?

  5. really?

  6. Not really - make it a paid ad. I'm sure it'll make its way up though.

Redirection may be harder than it seems - as said in another thread or this one - Geffen host the other site.

As for web content - The point I was making was, is this site any where near up. There are some internal workings we have yet to see. There must be...hopefully...

i didn't say that they will struggle...far from it...gnr generates more than enough traffic for them to shoot up the ranks...and with the baseball connection...all they have to do is put a small advert on each and every major baseball portal....and the job is done...

i hope you're right about the content part...but i still reckon that we can easily get more and much better quality content from these forums...the management just won't share things like Axl's outbursts, backstage footage, bootleg songs...all of those precious items which make up almost everyone's collection on here....

so unless they have something planned up their sleeve...it will be boring as anythng else out there....i'd still rather hang out here and get my shit from the downloads section on this forum....

    does this make any sense?

  7. where did you get this that appetite was going to be re-released?

all i remember of it was axl saying how he got the new line up to re-record them, so that they can position themselves back in '86 and experience the motivation and emotion behind that record, to help them get up to speed...and at the same time rehearse them for the tour(s)....

i never read anywhere that it was actually sent off to production, mastering or anything of the sort....

that would be so pointless...he'd still have to pay royalties to slash and co for it....and now he'd have to share it with 7 other people...

it just doesn't make any sense to do that.

  8. How the hell do you know anything? I'm sick and tired of all these people that proclaim anything to be 'true' or 'for certain' or tell other people that they're 'incorrect' and that this or that will 'indeed' be the case with anything. Nobody outside of GNR or their management team knows nothing about anything.

cheers mate...its been said a million times...but i don't think anyone here listens anymore...

    (back on topic)....

i really hope bucket features on the album...

he's the only one that went through this mess who is even remotely worthy of being considered a "replacement for slash"

i dig robin...and richard...not so much thal...i have nothing against him...but he isn't that exciting to me...

but none of them come even close to being considered "guitar heroes"....

which is what slash and bucket can achieve in their sleep.

  9. well, good news is that we finally have something "official" from the management....the bad news is....the standard of it is way below what is expected....that site, although nice, is amateur at best...i could have done a better job on it....

in my mind it doesn't represent this band, or the effort and hard work they put into their record in the last 13 years...

  10. Elmir, I think the overwhelming consensus would be not to drop the classics(of course you have to have SCOM, PC, WTTJ, etc), but do drop the covers and some of the solos. Just fitting in Civil War and Don't Cry over KOHD and LALD would be a significant improvement...

i agree with most of the replies here, but 3/4 of the songs on that setlist are there for a reason other than just because....KOHD is a great (if not the only) way to get the crowd involved, which is a must, especially for this new band, as they need the audience to react favorably to them....

LALD could be dropped though, as well as the solos....they don't do much other than to allow Axl time to change his shirt...as intro's to songs, yes, but they could be cut down a whole lot...yes...
