  1. They were good if somewhat boring. It's like they tried extra hard to be non mainstream after Cobain called them corperate cock rock. Soundgarden were the best band of that era for me.

  2. Check out Soundgarden, buy their Superunknown album and also get Rage Against The Machine's self titled debut. Don't bother with all that old shit from the 60's and 70s apart from Jimi Hendrix.

  3. Dance music is good. It gives me the same type of energetic feeling that hard rock/metal does. I reccomend you checking out Armand Van Helden, his music's real funky. And all of you people who think any talentless person can make a dance tune by just buying a keyboard, turntable, and ripping off some old tune, why don't you try it and make some serious money in the process?

  4. They're just modern metal, some of you people need to realise that you are living in the 2000's and not the 1980's, move with the times.

if modern metal has to involve a DJ,then no thanks,DJ can stick to their night clubs and trance shit, metal dosen't need them..........plus there are good new bands metal bands out there, but they don't need MTV to get fans.

    <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

I think Guns may have used MTV to get a couple of those 20 million fans that bought AFD. The DJ hardly features in the new album, and doesn't ruin the music. They're not trying to be some black metal band from Scandanavia.

  5. I thought their latest album was great. I especially liked The Blister Exists, Vermillion, Pulse of The Maggots and Before I Forget. They don't sound anything like Nu Metal bands like Korn. They're just modern metal, some of you people need to realise that you are living in the 2000's and not the 1980's, move with the times.

  6. One's a pussyhole band, the other's a band that sings about witches and demons. I'll go for Maiden although I wouldn't be caught dead listening to their shit these days. I can't believe I bought three of their albums.

  7. I tried to listen their last album yesterday..what a CRAP!!

They're the same shit that Yellowcard is..punk pop with shit lyrics.

I really miss Axl nowadays when I see this shit band on the television.

Their lyrics can't be as bad as your new favourite band Skid Row.

  8. Ive never even heard of the other song.. I downloaded it just now and I really like it.... never got into audioslave. I love both this and FTP, what other songs resemble these two besides Like a Stone someone said??

download, Gasoline, Shadow On The Sun by Audioslave, those are good too. Also get Show Me How To Live.

  9. Modern music doesn't suck, it's you lot who suck. You're still living in the 70's and 80's and expect a 2 minute widdly guitar solo in every single rock song, and think that any song without a solo is shit. A lot of bands sucked back in the 70's and even some of the bands now considered legendery had silly songs like with Led Zeppelin they sang about mythical creatures, hobbits and dungeons and dragons, doesn't that sound silly to you, at least nowadays bands don't make these kinds of songs. Live in the now, or build a time machine to take you back to your precious 70's and 80's - decades in which most of you were not even alive in or are too young to remember. Motherfuckers.

  10. Who was that Hillbilly who performed before the match started?

I watched about 5 minutes of the match and ended up laughing at this shitty sport. It's stop start nonsense, you don't get more than 20 seconds of playing before the referee stops the action, its probably got something to do with the short attention spans on americans. Thats why everybody across the worl loves real football.

  11. I've had their new album for over a month now but didn't even bother to listen to it. I just put in the CD player this morning after reading these posts, and from what I've heard so far it sounds fucking brilliant. The good thing about Papa Roach is that unlike lots of nu metal bands their songs are up tempo and not really that depressing.

  12. I really like this song, it's got a great atmosphere and the opening bass line and guitars are brilliant. It's probably their best ballad type song along with Classic Girl. Dave Navarro is more than ok, that guy can fuckin play. Listen to his solos in Three Days, Ocean Size and Had A Dad.

Jane's were such an amazing band, better than the overrated Red Hot Chili Peppers and it was good that Navarro didn't sell out like Kirk Hammet on their last album Strays.

It's a shame they've split up for about the hundredth time but Dave Navarro and Steven Perkins (drums) have formed a new band called The Panic Channel with the bassist from the album Strays and a new singer Steve Isaacs. Check http://www.thepanicchannel.com/ for more details.

  13. hair metal

over the top is the way it should be done, i dont think a song has to be deep to enjoy it - its a song, if you like it you like it

Yeah the odd hair metal song might be OK but you can't listen to a whole album of that shit.
