  1. Kind of reminds me of the Dangerous Toys clown on there albums.

They where a kick ass band for about 3 albums but it went to shit after that IMHO.

Most of you have probly never heard of Dangerous Toys.

Well maybe a little..... they are both evil looking clowns I guess

  2. I think PC is and always will be the closing song for almost every guns show.

It just giveas the crowd a 2nd or 3rd wind and they come alive one last time to cap of the show.

  3. If I was a performer or whatever that had to do shows in front of crowds of people you bet your ass if there is shit thrown at me I would shut it down unless they either stopped or I said fuck it.

I remember whatching an interview with Axl at some point after they played Donington back around 88 that they where told by I think it was Lemmy of Motorhead that they needed to control the crowd better because if people are throwing shit on the stage when they playing it makes it ok for the crowd to continue throwing shit at the bands that play after them. They where not talking about t-shirts and stuff like that it was the stuff that could hurt someone.

And ever since then they took hard stance against objects being thrown on the stage.

Can you blame them? No, but more times than not Axl will give the crowd one chance to stop if they don't he leaves simple as that.

I know GNR going on late is a problem most bring up but just becasue they are late why throw stuff. You bought your ticket now you throwing things that could end the show for the whole crowd, not to smart.

If I seen someone throwing shit I would handle it because I don't want the show fucked up. But that may get me thrown out but it is better than standing there with a thumb up my ass thinking this person needs to stop of the show is going to be over.

Yes GNR need to be on time.

If they where would fans not throw things very doubtfull, beer or whatever and being in a crowd of people cause bad things to happen.

In some peoples eyes being on time would stop everything which is complete BS.

  4. As far as Metallica's mixing on DM is did suck dick!!! I can't hardly listen to it and it is a shame beause there are some good songs on the album but it needed to sound better.

DM sounds distorted and they turned everything up so high it just blares if given to much volume. CD on the other hand was not made so loud that it would blow you head off and even with all that is going on in the songs it is clear so you can hear everything but that is pretty much undone by have so many layers it clogs the songs down.

And Justice for all IMHO is the best album metallica has put out from start to finish, some don't like the instramental song which I happen to like for some reason.

If Metallica would have release DM after and justice for all then the Black album it would fit Metallica's album time line better as far as how there sound changed over the years. As far as mixing on the Black album they did get that one right.

Guns N Roses are my favorite band but my favorite album is Metallica And Justice For All..... Go figure???

Really? You don't like how DM is mixed and mastered but you love Justice, an album notorious for having almost no Jason on it and a mix that sounds like nothing was changed on the console except for the gain knob?

Ok, whatever...what your favorite song on there anyway? Can't go wrong with Dyer's Eve for me.

The difference in the offical DM release and the Justice album is the distored sound that DM has sometimes it sounds like they are covering James vocals with static.

Ohhh.. Yes Dyer's Eve is bad ass!!!!

But I have to say I like the title track And Justice for All the best of any songs on that album.

My second is To live is to die. I know it is mostly an instramental but for some reason that songs pulls alot of emotions out of me and I have a story line for that song about a Great Gladiator that is on top the best in all the land, then is beaten in battle at a old romain coliseum and was suppost to die and didn't and the changes in the music after being defeated is that his followers find that he didn't die and as the music speeds up he is getting stronger and stronger and the lyrics are about him going to face the King and if the king chooses to kill him then fine and he is told to fight the person that beat him before and at he end of the song with the music it switches from each gladiators face but it is left open as to what happens.

This is not something that took a long time for me to contect with the song the way it happened one day when I listen and I HEARD the song one time, and all that came from it. I had listened to it countless times before and never even thought about and I apply it to myself and my battle with metal illness, I have been beaten down by my illness more times than I can count but I am still here and as long as I am the ending his yet to be written.

Much like what Coma means to me and what I get out of it, which is my all time favorite song.

I know some will go huh??? WTF???

But music means alot to me and is my escape from my illness, it's like I can here a song that I get emotions from and everything seems to fade away at least until the song ends.

It is very hard to explain and impossible to understand unless you live it day in and day out.

Sorry about the rambling off the subject.

  5. As far as CD taking so long to get going I can't help but think that all the talking you hear in the back ground is not random it is saying something but we have no idea what that message is.

To me CD the song is CD the albums Welcome to the Jungle by the way the opening riff is and the scream at the front just befroe it kicks in. I wish it whould have just started at where you hear the drums kick in. I think it was a good opener to the album.

White Zombies ablum Astro Creep: 2000 has the perfect song to open an album, Electric Head (pt1) It takes like a 70 secs for the song to start which is under 5 mins in length and then it is just a pure assult on you. I don't mean this in a bad way but it like that song is 10mins long and just hits you like a brick. It just awesome.

  6. As far as Metallica's mixing on DM is did suck dick!!! I can't hardly listen to it and it is a shame beause there are some good songs on the album but it needed to sound better.

  7. I agree AFD track order was great and flowed very well.

Even UYI I & 2 just didn't flow as good as AFD. I really like the UYI albums but the tracks where not just one sound they tried different things and it just didn't flow. Goods songs in all. But iit was like the musical direction was not very defined on the albums. I think the power struggles in the band with different members wanting different sounds and I feel they said if you want to do "X" song your way I want "Z" to sound my way. I think the band was very fragmented even the UYI days that it is a wonder we got those albums. You can pretty much tell by the structure of the songs which member had more say in way a song sounded. It is only a guess but Izzy had his songs, Axl had his and Slash had his. I think duff stated pretty neutral. Again just a guess on what I here in the songs.

Then there is CD which is the UYI albums times 100 in terms of flow and sound.

I would love to here the CD songs that are more rockers just stripped down witout all the effects and over laying.

To me Prostitute, SOD, Sorry, CITR(which I hate), TIL andTWAT are pretty straight forward, I little over done yes but not 10,000 things coming at you all the time.

I also agree that TWAT should have been a single and is one of favorites off CD.

  8. When I listen to alot of the songs on CD is just too much to take in.

There are so many different sounds coming at you at once it almost seems to muffling together.

Songs like CD, Shacklers, Scraped, and Rhiad for example have so much stuff going on it is hard to keep track of.

Most of the other songs on CD are a easier to listen to.

I just feel that alot of people that where on the fence in regard to CD just couldn't get into due to the over blown songs with all the layering.

I like the songs that a mentioned but at times I think I am in the mood for CD and when I start to listen to it there is just too much to take in.

All in all I like CD but I have to be in the mood sometimes.

  9. I had one of my mini dachounds die a few months back and let me tell you it was very hard on me!!!

That dog was by my side during some of the worst years of my life as far fighting my metal illness, she one reason why I am still here and that's no joke.

Sounds sappy I know, but I loved that dog it was ALMOST like a person to me.

I have yet to do it but I am going to have a pet headstone made for her, I already have painted river rocks around her grave.

I know some people will understand what it meant to me lossing her and that others will say "hey it's just a dog" that doesn't make them a bad person it is just some people get very attacted to animals and others don't.

When I get down and thanking bad things I always thank of her looking down on me and saying "I didn't spend all thoughs years with you for you to fall apart now, I trained you better than that" And believe it or not that helps.

I guess I am a wussy due to what feelings this is sturing up inside me and I am holding back the tears. Some will understand other will not.

But on topic about mounting a family pet that is not for me.

Now that massive 8, 9,10 ,11 and 14 point bucks on my wall sure is nice to look at but I had no connection with the deer other than it got into shooting range and I dropped it. Not bragging just tring to point out I feel Taxidurmy has it's place but whether choose to use it is an individual thing.

  10. When if first heard WTTJ on MTV I was like WTF???? My only complaint about the WTTJ video is Axls hair but he fixed that pretty quick.

Bought AFD the next day and after listening to it I thought these guys kick ass and don't seem to care what people think, the music was so raw and in your face it was unreal compared to what we had at the time.

I seen them with Alice Copper and it was insane which was before SCOM hit. Got Axl and Izzy autograph during the Copper show and when my house burt a few year later I lost all my concert stuff.

SCOM was a song that real done nothing for me. I know I am in the minority on this but I could listen to it back then but if it comes on the radio now I turn the channel.

Then came UYI and there are just so many song on those 2 albums that meant so much to me on personal level as far as what I was and still am going through to this day with metal illness.

It was like Coma what written for me, I pulled so much emotion out of me and what the songs means to me, I heard the song and instantly knew what I was gettting out if it on an emotional level and also a personal level. GnR's great song to date as far as I am concerned.

I was also more into UYI I while most everyone I knew liked UYI II. UYI I was less main stream as far as the song arrangements but it just seems like it was kinda pushed aside by the mass. Even though alot of the songs on that album I consider better than anything on AFD. Don't get me wrong I liked AFD and UYI II just not like UYI I.

As far as the current GNR I just keep hoping that we will here that mean and agressive side of Axl in his music again. I like CD but if he could get some of the venom back it would be awesome!!!!!

  11. If another album is released I think this time it will be done right. I could be very wrong.

I think during the fall tour they will drop an album. Again I could be very wrong.

With the tour going on during they release it and would be promoted by the tour and whatever else they decide to try.

CD has some good songs on it but I still feel they picked alot of the weaker material due to all the BS done by the label, manager or Axl. CD was too bloated with ballads and not enough rockers to keep the alblum flowing.

I think they forced his hand and he gave them a album worth of material and told them to shove up there ass and that is way he didn't promote it hiself. Why would he act any different than he usually does we someone pisses him off????

Was it the right thing to do? depends on what angle you look at.

    1. If Axl was forced to release it then yes to him it was a way to get back at them, even though it seems he was cutting his noise off to spite his face. I think at the time of the release he could give a fuck about CD and how well it sells. You fuck me I will fuck you and that was going both ways. I personally feel he was trying to get the label to drop him so he could be out of contract with them and go else where or just disappear.

    2. Fans point of veiw hell no he should have promoted it hard and heavy.

    3. Record company we are going to make him put it out and promote it but it's a GNR album so even if he doesn't tour or promote the album it still should sell. Which all in all it done OK, maybe not in the states but the global sales where not that terrible given the current state of album sales.

When you think about the songs on CD they changed very little since 2002. I think alot of the songs on CD where basicaly completed in 2002 and I would bet alot of the other songs not on CD where complete then also.

But hey what do I know.

  12. I have always found this song very relaxing and peacefull.

I don't understand why given what I consider to be the subject matter of the lyrics.

I just a very cool song with all the changes.

  13. It just never ceases to amaze me all the people that CLAIM to hate this band post in every fucking thread nearly the same thing over and over!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have read replies about guns n roses is not guns n roses without slash and then most contradict themselves by saying Buckethead is amazing Ron sucks and D.J. is just a Slash look a like.

For christ sakes if you don't like the band the way it is leave!!!! It's so boring reading you post about the samething over and over, we know you are unhappy or claim to be so what!!!!

I just don't understand why people can't except the band for what it is and if they can't move on and if for some reason something happens to your liking by all means come back but until then FUCK OFF!!!!!

"Christ all mighty It's like I playin' cards with my brothers kids or something, you nerve rackin' son's a bitchs"

  14. It would be a pretty safe bet that Richard already knew of the tour possiblities and went into Thin Lizzy thing with the understanding that IF (big if) GNR do tour it would be around such and such date so I ma sure everything is in place if a GNR tour was to happen.

Like many others I feel touring the states without a new album either out or coming out at the front end of the tour would be suicide for the band in the US and after that tour GNR would most likely never be able to find promoters or venues that would take the risk again in the US without big change in what the fans want when it comes to GNR or there is a reunion which I feel will not happen. But who knows??????

I am not hung up on a reunion, for me it's like if it happens cool if it doesn't cool makes no difference to me.

I would just like to see GNR put out another album and promotion from both the GNR camp and the label.

  15. I think Kohd sould be bumped. I know it's been played as far back as I can remember. This will never happen.

Live and let die ohhh.... Hell no leave that in.

I wouldn't mine SCOM to be dropped but I sure I am in the .00000000000000001% that would like to see that. I never really like that song even when I was a kid back in 87-88 when I first got into GNR. WTTJ is what put them on the radar for me.

I know dropping SCOM will NEVER happen it is a song they are known for the world over so it would make no sense to drop it.

This I love and Sorry should be dropped also they just don't seem to work live. Both good songs to listen to in your car or whatever but live they seem to really put the crowd to sleep and it seems to take a few songs to get back fired up.

  16. With activision quiting the Guitar Hero line in the near future as far as making new ones due to poor sales of previous editions. There maybe one more new edition of GH not for sure on that though but they are putting the game to rest this year sometime.

No doubt GH III made them a ton of money but since then they have lost money on the GH line of games and they may not be as eager to cough up the cash to Axl as some may think.

I know the suit is over GH III but with the GH line tanking it maybe harder to get a good settlement.

    But what do I know?????

  17. To me the argeement is that Azoff will promote and book a tour for GNR and will get the concert commissions for the tour he will book in the future.

This agreement seems to be like neither Axl or Azoff had a very strong case in respect to there suits against each other and insteed of spending the dollars in the court system for what was going to be basicly a wash and the only winners are the lawyers.

  18. IF there is a release in the future we will here some new songs coming out of the South America tour. I think Axl since back in the UYI days likes to tour for a few months before dropping an album.

I think you can take what happened with CD and throw it out the window as far as the numerous tour and delayed releases date. I think it was done in 2002 and something fucked up the release.

If we don't hear any new songs I think it is a really safe bet that no album release is planned.

As far as Axl and his religious views it goes back futher than when he went AOL, the Estranged video in the scene where he is walking in his house it show a huge cross displaying the crucifiction. Which I read was not a prop it was his.

  19. I haven't heard it but......

If alll it was about was a camera Axl over reacted but if it was like he said a group causing trouble the whole show then maybe not.

If you watch the footage on youtube shot from behind the stage just before and during the fans throwing shit, like chairs, the WHOLE band was back there like they where going to come back out then, they got the hell out of dodge when it got out of control.

One of those things that should have been handled better on both sides. But for GNR fans it comes with the territory!!!

Back in the day though that was considered "cool" and rock n roll! I remember Kirt on MTV news saying "Guns N Roses had an good old fashion rock n roll riot in St. Louis". Like it was nothing.

  20. I wonder what look Axl is going to go for this time around.

    2002 Braides and sports clothes

2006: Braides with jeans and a goat tee

2009: No braides, sunglasses, Hat 99% of the time and porn type mustache

He seems to change his look with each new tour.

Not that this is a big deal.

What would be a big deal to me is a US tour!!!!!!!!!!

  21. I don't think he is keeping us in the dark because he wants to, I believe it is a necessary evil for him.

Look at the few times he has said the album was or suppose to come out and didn't and the shit storm it caused.

Wouldn't you want to avoid that??????

I tend to believe that he is unsure himself due to the label, management or lawsuits. So why say a word? If you know you it may not happen for a number of reasons.

Look at the songs they played live back in 2001-2002 they basically are the same as what we have on CD. Which leads me to believe it was ready to go in 2002 but something got fucked one way or another a number of times before the release.

I am not saying he didn't cause some of the delays but if you keep getting yourself up for what you think is going to happen then is gets shout down for reasons other than you doing it, it would be easy to set back and wait for things to play out before you dove back in feet first.
