  1. see what im saying, people are starting to realize what i said , the album isnt coming out and people are getting fed up, i wont see them again or support them again untill an album is out, hes let everyone down, its hard to be a fan ... imagine you hadnt heard the leaks either... how dissapointed fans are, no new music, super late shows, if he shows up, its all bull shit, he calls it rock n roll, ?? its retarted head games

  2. I do agree with you on this point. That's why I think a early to mid 2007 release is more justifiable. For example, Limp Bizkit (not really a fan just proving a point) released an album I think about two years ago with no promotion at all, and it just flopped. So 2007 would seem like a logical choice to release CD, because it at least gives them time to promote the album. So far the only promotion that has taken place is for the tour itself, not the album.

limp bizkit suck though, ahah simply said ...

and to me the tour isnt huge promo, people dont even care really... i mean yeah they can estimate figures of ticket sales to album sales, there is a comparison, which might be what they are also doing, to see if a cd would sell..

  3. FOR ALL WE KNOW.... the wheels could also already be in motion

they could have shipped them, and could be arriving late this week and in put in the record stores computers for monday and released tuesday, so yeah we MIGHT know about it on a monday and before there is anything we can do about it, there it is on the shelf for tuesday...but then i dont even see it selling ... with no promo at all for it, no single etc.. its just weird, how the hell do u expect people to just by an album with no knowledge of it

take me, as a consumer and a person in the music business, this album is really up in the air, it could be unnoticed, or it could just take off and hype will do its job... but i feel a non release and a flop ... i dont want to say that but its hard not to...

  4. ok think of how much work it would take to get this album out by next week

assuming that - art work has been printed, track selection finalized, record company gives a head up, SOME sort of in store poster display or some kind of P.O.P. is done, packaging of cd, distrubution, shipping time, etc...

there is no chance a release can come, and im not just being negative... the amount of work it takes to get a cd out, and the the amount of time it takes is alot, EVEN IF you have the strings to pull, you have a ton of inside people (confidentiality contracts) SOMEONE would have said something...

the only way a album COULD be released at a snap of the finger is a ITUNES format, which i don't think axl is stupid enough to do...

in all honesty i think axl had the intentions of getting this album out this year, and maybe jumped the gun with all the hype of the tour thinking he could...

in the end, i think the record company hasn't given the thumbs up, and thats the holdup, because axl wanted to do the straight release, no promo... and they said, 13$ mil put in to this and you wont even promote it, i dont think so .... so IF it doesnt come out , i think it will get tied up in a court...

    thats my view....

  6. Ok

ive never said much about my personal life but i will spew a few things out, i work for a radio station in hamilton, Ont (canada) its not a rock station but our sister station is, we have connections to universal records and we get updates on releases, whats going ons etc... , there has been NOTHING said about CD ever in these, so... and all the new releases come out in this or any info about releases etc. NOW... i think axl is pissing them off (intentionally or unintentially i dont know) and just release it, and universal wont let a 13 million dollar album do that, with out some huge promotion backing it up. Hence why it may of already started to happen with record stores hearing things, websites getting updates that it was coming out, with a non promoted sent album to them to just sell, it happens all the time with small artists. Universal found out and put a stop to the album just coming out, they want something out of their investment and said your not releasing a album without promoting it, hence why we are at a possible standstill. I also have lots of friends at record stores, managers etc.. nothing has been slated for a release at all people i know, with shipping taking its time, i belive there is NO time left to do this even if it was a straight released album, no promo. Shipping it out to all locations by the 19th or 26th is just too close. Plus someone from somehwhere would have heard something, about either pressing, p.o.p instore promo (if there is any), shippers, no matter how hush it would have been, someone would have said something with some sort of proof. I dont think it is axl this time, i think this is universal wanting something out of their investment, and something with no promo at all might not sell as much as it would with a full promo campaign.

I give a 80% chance the album will not be out this year, as promised.

  7. a close to xmas date to me is perfect cus people spend money very impulsivly, i could see it being at record stores and flying off the shelf just cus its GNR and cds are the easiest thing to buy, a cd with GUNS N ROSES stamped on it would sell, especially if they had any promo poster or POP stuff... who knows, holiday shopping could help huge

  8. ^ take the cock out of your mouth newbie, why give a fuck about something that gives nothing back to you, when an actual official announcement is made then there is a reason to to have faith and wait for something, right now , what have we gotten? a tour.. big wow... all this waiting for no reason... year after year.. so shut the fuck up
