  1. Either I don't get it or it's just that dumb.

The implication was that he had a vagina, indicating he is of the female sex, and hence whores himself out to Buckcherry.

In which case, it's just that dumb.

But it won't be dumb once I get my fancy new vagina. First I'll take on The Tracii Guns Band, then L.A. Guns, then Buckcherry. Maybe Clapton and his band.

Not as dumb as your Stewie Griffin post. ;)

  2. Why the fuck do you have this CD anyway?

The more appropriate question would be, "Why the fuck WOULDN'T I have this album?"

Just look at the cover. Tell me you'd see that in a record store and say, "Hmm, I think I'll pass." No way. Bruce owns you with those eyes. That smirk. That lovely receding hairline.

Would this be a time to tell you I also own Bruce Willis Classics?

Good reviews of it on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00004OCP...4443057?ie=UTF8

  3. Superb album. Love the lyrics.

Nothing like nonsensical comparisons: "Am I free later? Lemme put it to you this way - DOES A COMET LEAVE A CRATER?!"

    :rofl-lol: He's a decent Blues player, I've heard him.

Really? I think he's fucking awful. But I love it. It's like somebody's gang-raping my eardrums and I'm along for the ride. I'm not even sure that really makes sense, but when you take a trip to the Land of Bruno, it does. Listening to Bruce's album is better than orgasming.

Just decent, in the technical sense. He's a decent singer and harpist, only decent.

Just decent? Dammit. Bruce will be most disappointed.

  5. ..., who emerged as the greatest British Rock group since The Beatles.

    Arguable, I think.

    Well of course, everything's "arguable".

    I'm alive.

Actually, everything is not arguable. ;)

    Fucking nitpicker.

    Can I go cry now?

I suggest you put some Smiths on first.

But I'm listening to Bruce Willis right now.

  6. Superb album. Love the lyrics.

    Love it.

    Anyone else heard his stuff?

"Comin' Right Up" is my favorite song.

    Here's a mini-documentary on Bruce's career:

  7. As in, "We play Rock and fucking Roll and that's the best thing we could be doing for humanity." I don't expect you to understand what I mean.

    Bastard.

    :P

It is the best thing they could be doing for humanity. This is Buckcherry we're talking about. Hardly the most upstanding citizens.

You know he's right, adnan. You can feel it deep down in your vagina heart.

Sorry, I think I'm high on life tonight. I couldn't resist.

  8. ..., who emerged as the greatest British Rock group since The Beatles.

    Arguable, I think.

As for their music - I don't remember enough of it, but I used to own two or three of their albums and was never very fond of them. I also have Morrisey's "The Quarry" solo album and thought it was average. I guess it's just not my "thing."

  9. I very highly doubt it. September, perhaps, but August is fast approaching and I just can't see it happening this soon. Knowing Axl it will be put off as long as possible. :)

It may make a ton of sense for GN'R to do the VMA's, but what's in it for MTV?

    Guns N' Roses.

Unless GN'R have a single released that is excellent and selling well, there is no reason why MTV would want to book them for their biggest show of the year. Axl had his chance on the VMA's and it wasn't a success.

It was one of the highest-rated awards shows in MTV's history. In other words, it had a lot of viewers. Their performance may have been bad but the show was a major success for MTV, and a big reason was due to the fact that GN'R were rumored to show up and Fallon was dropping hints all through the show.

It wouldn't surprise me if they kept their focus outside of the US, since that is where the audience is at the moment. After CD is released, that situation may change, but it will take a lot of work from Axl to make it happen.

I don't think they'll play the VMAs again. At least not for a while. Although seeing as how the tour's setlist is very similar to '02, it wouldn't surprise me if he showed up and did another medley.

I didn't know the show got such good ratings. Just strengthens my point, although ratings will likely be at the crux of whatever decision MTV makes.

What I really wanted to discuss was the medley comment you made. It could work if executed well and with the right songs. I like the three that I came up with. Considering where the band is headed I think it's a pretty good way to introduce Chi Dem to the masses. And to be honest, the 2002 medley always seems to get panned but I actually thought it was really cool. It gave me goosebumps. It's not so much the quality of the performance (which isn't near as bad as many claim) but the energy it had, and that it was a fuckin' big deal at the time. Guns N' Roses was back in the spotlight!!

You know, the VMAs was the first time I'd heard the "new" Axl voice. The first time I heard the WTTJ scream I was like, "Kickass!" It was awesome. But as soon as he belted out "Welcome to the Jungle" my heart sank.

But as I got used to the "new" Axl and revisited the VMAs performance it didn't bother me at all. I think it's something you get used to after a while. I think that's part of the reason so many people claim Axl's voice is terrible, even though right now I think it's more melodic than it's ever been (although I still prefer the Illusion era rasp). When he sings The Blues it's amazing.

I agree that the VMAs had great energy. I think that's what I miss from the band right now. After seeing bootlegs and RIR5, it doesn't compare to the way Axl was in 2002. I'm not bashing - I just think it's become very routine now. There's no "surprise." He does the same songs every show, and he never even changes the opening. It's always "You know where the FUCK you are?" He doesn't even throw the scream in once in a while.

Anyway, I think VMAs would be cool. Rip into IRS, Better and The Blues. I didn't see your suggestion, I'll take a look at your post, but I'd love to hear The Blues played for a wide audience, because I think it's their strongest song right now.

  10. Seems to me that Buckcherry takes themselves too seriously.

They take themselves anything BUT seriously.

They made a couple of 'serious' songs like "Check Your Head" and "For the Movies" on the first album, but "15" is anything but serious. It's got sleazy hard rock and 2 love songs, no 'message' songs.

I like Everything (the song) from 15. But apart from that song and Crazy Bitch nothing else really stuck out. And I hated Crazy Bitch the first time; I didn't like it until I saw the music video.

  11. Are YOU Experienced?

    I AM

The drums in Manic Depression go beyond awesomeness

And Purple Haze is one of the top songs of all time

    ww3.gif

    "Foxey Lady!"

Love the use of it in Wayne's World.

Gotta be my favorite song off that album.

Manic Depression and Purple Haze are tied for second.

  12. Dudes you know what I listen too. Not too heavy but not too cheesy. So please don't throw me any crazy tree metal stuff or whatever.

I can't download any stuff right now, but adnan, I checked Buckcherry the other day. I thought Crazy Bitch was shit, but Lit Up (or however it's called) was damn good.

Ridin', Porn Star, and Crazy Bitch are the only bad songs Buckcherry's done.

Other than that, anything's good. Go to YouTube and watch the video's there, instead of downloading.

    Yeah, "Lit Up" is kickass.

They have a few good songs. I like Lit Up and Crazy Bitch. But I'd define them as a band whose albums have a lot of filler. I'd love for them to make a consistent, great album - I think they have the potential. An album of stuff like Lit Up would be great. I like Check Your Head alright too.

  13. I very highly doubt it. September, perhaps, but August is fast approaching and I just can't see it happening this soon. Knowing Axl it will be put off as long as possible. :)

  14. 126 vieuws and 3 reply?

I keep them to myself next time fuckers

What's wrong, feeling insecure? Need anonymous strangers to say, "Hey! Way to go man! You rock!" on an Internet forum?

Where do you get off calling people "fuckers" because they didn't reply to your topic?

FACT: You posted these in the wrong sub-forum.

FACT: It's Saturday night. The forum is slow.

OPINION: Your photos are average compared to some of the others that have been posted in the past.

FACT: I would never have said this, and would have posted "Thanks man!", except for the fact that you acted like an asshole.

Next time, just keep them to yourself if you're going to be an ass about it. ;)

just what i wanted to post

    thanks!

    ;)

  16. None of the songs mentioned in this thread so far are as good as this one.

Some people need to try extending their taste a bit...there are far better songs from the 1990s than all the stuff mentioned in this thread. Of course, that's my opinion, but all I've seen so far are very mainstream songs, a lot of which are from the same genre and sound similar.

My tastes are very varied, regardless of what you say. I listen to punk, metal, rock, psychedelia, reggae, dance, funk, sixties pop, blues, blues-rock, rock n' roll, trance, techno, R&B (real R&B)....

It's still my opinion that this is the best song of the nineties, hands down. And by the way, I consider the 90's better than the 80's & 2000's.

I wasn't necessarily talking about you; I was referring to the majority of people in this thread.

  18. Bohemian Rhapsody is 'overrated' and 'overplayed' but is still questionable the greatest song of all time.

Opinions are like assholes - everyone has one, and most of them stink.

Smells Like Teen Spirit came about at the right time and was the right kind of song. But it hasn't aged very well and I've noticed particularly within the last few years Nirvana has started to pick up more heat. I think the reason is that all the teens who related to the music in the early '90s are in their late 20s and 30s now and the next generation doesn't find the music as appealing.

In fact it's interesting because I think we're reverting backwards a bit - bands like GN'R are definitely going through a revival. I'm not just saying this because I'm a GN'R fan. I only began listening to GN'R a few years ago, and the reason is because the Greatest Hits CD was such a success and it was everywhere in the UK, so I gave it a listen and got hooked on the songs, then went out and bought all the other albums.

I'm not saying Nirvana is losing all its fans - but I think now that the Nirvana generation is getting older, more people are starting to realize a LOT of their music isn't really that strong. It was more because of what Cobain stood for in the eyes of "repressed" teens. A good example of a band that wasn't musically great but became iconic because of what they represented.

Best song of the '90s? I can name a bunch of songs that I'd elevate higher on any "best-of" list.
