  1. The novelty of it all is disappearing, that's why. Don't have a lot of users from Denmark and news outlets aren't all reporting on the show because it's not another Hammerstein, it's just another show now...

Notice how every show the updates and audio bootlegs grow less and less...I haven't heard any bootlegs of shows over the past week or so. Kinda sucks, but what can you do?

  2. btw, it wasn't finck that blew manson

manson snuck up from behind and blew finck

It's true. According to Manson: Robin walked over to him while he was kneeling on stage and "whipped it out" and he performed fellatio on him in front of thousands.

  3. Probably Finck. Three guitarists? I think BBF is a better lead and Fortus is a great rhythm guitarist. So I don't see the point of having another. And I'm a fan of GN'R so don't think I'm trashing them. I'm just being honest based on the topic question.

know right now he's Axl's right-hand-man on stage, but I find his image and playing style both quite annoying. The only solo by him I really dig is on TWAT.

People will vote Pitman the most - but after hearing RIR5 I sound effects I realized how much background stuff he adds to a lot of the newer songs. Madagascar, IRS, TWAT, and especially Better would sound empty. His synth stuff - when balanced :) - helps the newer songs.

But I'm not sure Jungle needs to have jungle drums in the background, so he's probably next IMO after Finck.

  4. Didn't Axl once accuse his bandmates of being a distraction because they were always fucked up all the time?? Didn't he alienate himself from his band off stage because of it?? Hmmmm................

Well that was 15 years ago. I guess when you are in your 40's, it's all okay now I guess.

I know alot of you think that it's so cool and so rock n roll for him to do this........but you are all morons.

Fact is, Axl has issues right now and they are not healthy. He really needs to slow down.

    I agree and disagree.

What he did was stupid. I don't think he's "melting down," though. He just needs to stay off the booze - or at least not drink Jack Daniel's till he "is unable to speak."

  5. It seems that people are way more enthusiastic about the old songs than the new ones.

The following is not stated as fact but was the story told by a staff member

Axl was supposed to be meeting up at the hotel with Beta and others at a prearranged aftershow booze up and was late by 5hrs. Beta went to bed and was woken by axl thumping her door in a very drunken state, he didnt even have any idea what time it really was. She got dressed and went out to see what was happening axl had already gone back to reception looking for someone to ring her room. She met him in reception where a shouting match insued and a bit of a scene was caused. Axl was asked to keep the noise down and take his arguments elsewhere by security so Axl freaked and started the rockstar tirade of do you know who you are dealing with etc? axl threw a sign at a wall mirror in the lobby. At this point security floored him and were holding him down until the police came. While being held down he decided to leave his mark on one of the guys.

    sounds reasonable...

    REASONABLE???

    What's reasonable in all this?

feasible then...n madison, i think he was jus commenting on the almost hypocritical nature of the fact that men n women r to be treated equal but by virtue of the statement u jus made, which is a statement most sane civilised people would agree with, its impossible for that to be the case. i actually agree with u though, jus thought i might stick my oar in n possibly explain what i interpreted that dude to be tryna say.

It's not hypocritical, it's a matter of common decency.

  6. .... "We had a great gig in Stockholm and I am not going to let this incident spoil that," Rose said in a statement, according to MTV News. "My assistant Beta and I were talking in the lobby of the hotel when security started to give us a hard time. My only concern was to make sure she was OK." ..

    So, the woman was Beta.

Well, that explains why no assault charges were laid.

.. ... "He was taken to the hospital this morning in order to see if there was any risk of him getting tetanus," said Antonio Saluena, the chief of the private security company employing the injured guard, according to Aftonbladet.

He got a tetanus shot? Did he think Axl had rabies?:laugh:

That actually came out last night, but I think a lot of people missed it. One of the eye witnesses said he was arguing with his "assistant" - I figured that meant it was Beta.

I still would like some clarification on this - I hope they do some type of press release, because some reports claim he was attacking Beta, others say arguing with her, and now it sounds like he was just talking to her?

  7. Richard is the best guitar player in the band right now, overall. He also has the most energy. He has the look (people thought he was Izzy at Hammerstein), plays awesome rhythm and his guitar doesn't sound techno like Finck. I also enjoy watching and hearing him far more than Finck. No offense to Finck lovers out there.

  8. Leave it to Arnie :P

Robocop allways seemed kinda camp to me :drevil:

Who would win out of Terminator V.s Robocop one on one?

Id say 'T' would do the buisness! B)

T would kick the shit out of campcop.

I love The Terminator, but RoboCop - the movie - is far more satirical and clever.

It's "camp"? That's the point. It's what makes Verhoeven's films (when he still "had it" before he lost it with Showgirls) so enticing. His over-the-top Dutch eccentricities - the OTT violence and gore in RoboCop and all the camp stuff - is a satire of corporate America. Check out the beginning with the news broadcast, how a company has bought the police station, and the entire concept of buying a basically-dead person to turn him into a machine.

It was over-the-top to satirize the media's and public's fascination with gore and violence. A lot of people didn't "get it" back when it came out and a lot of people still don't get it. It fits in snugly with other dystopian future movies, only with a biting comedic edge.

It's a brilliant and misunderstood film. There are essays on it that explain more about all its satirical elements and they are all good points but you can Google them on your own if you care enough.

  9. Clearly it's become necessary to keep Axl sober for the rest of the tour.

He should have stayed sober. What made him start drinking again, anyway? The 2002 tour? I know there's a picture of him from '02 with a beer (actually, a few) but I thought he stopped drinking in the Illusion days.

  10. Here's another update.

He was released around 7pm after agreeing to pay a fine.

STOCKHOLM, Sweden (AP) - Guns N' Roses frontman Axl Rose spent most of Tuesday in a Stockholm jail cell after allegedly biting a security guard in the leg at his hotel, police said.

Rose, who performed in the Swedish capital on Monday, was arrested early Tuesday after attacking and threatening the guard, as well as causing damage to the Berns Hotel, police spokeswoman Towe Hagg said.

He was released from jail around 7 p.m. after agreeing to pay a fine of 40,000 kronor (euro4,340; US$5,500), Hagg said. Rose was also ordered to pay 10,000 kronor (euro1,100; US$1,360) in damages to the security guard, she said.

He will not be charged with any other crimes, Hagg said.

Guns N' Roses was scheduled to perform in Norway's capital, Oslo, on Wednesday night.

Catarina Oscarsson, a spokeswoman for concert organizer Ema Telstar, said the band was not traveling with a publicist and would not comment on the arrest.

Hagg told The Associated Press that Rose was intoxicated during the confrontation, which occurred shortly before 8 a.m. (0600GMT), and was not questioned by police until after he sobered up.

"He was deemed too intoxicated to be questioned right away," she said.

It was unclear what caused the fight, but Swedish tabloids said the guard tried to intervene when Rose started arguing with a woman in the hotel lobby.

Fredrik Nylen, one of the police officers who helped arrest Rose, was quoted by the daily Aftonbladet Web site as saying that the singer acted aggressively toward police and had to be handcuffed and restrained in the hotel.

"He kept a high profile, so to speak," Nylen was quoted as saying.

Guns N' Roses played a concert in Stockholm's Globe Arena Monday night, and had been partying at a well-known night club before the scuffle, Aftonbladet said.

It's good to know he got off with just a fine. Imagine him in jail for the next four years!

  11. Biting a police officer is still not a sign of maturity. Early reports indicated he attacked the woman. I think I agree now that he may have just been yelling and perhaps grabbing her and such, and security intervened. But that's not a valid excuse for what he did. He acted like a fool. You can get away with it in your 20s when you're young and rebellious. Not when you're in your mid-40s. And biting someone is just sad, especially in the leg.

I totally agree with the biting a police officer thing (was the guy a police officer or the security guard... not that it matters). Biting anyone, unless you're in a raging battle for life, sounds a little out-of-the-ordinary...lol. I'm counting on that part of the story being fabricated, let's hope so at least.

But, are you saying that people in their 40's don't get into arguements? If he was grabbing her violently or took a swing, sure, way out of line. At any age, that's totally uncalled for... 20's or not. But if they were just verbally yelling at each other, c'mon. Every couple I've ever known... even folks in their 60's or older... can easily get into little shouting matches over just about anything. Yelling at someone is considered assault, and I'm betting that's what this was.

The problem with trying to put a positive spin on this story: Axl has a history of violent temper. And remember his arrest at the airport in 1998? He told security they were "little people on a power trip."

The woman he was arguing with last night worked for the hotel. Chances are she told him something he didn't like (perhaps, "You guys need to settle down" or even that he had to put his cigars out since it's illegal to smoke there), he got agitated and the alcohol made him overreact. He probably began yelling at her and, knowing Axl, cornered her and maybe started shoving her. Then security ran up to him, pulled him away, he started swinging at them, and then he went for the guy's leg (this has been reported on all the news stories).

It says he also threatened police in the car on the way to the jail.

I'd like to give Axl benefit of the doubt, but he's been involved in stuff like this far too many times to believe him over however many people have already verified this is what happened for the news crew.

  13. THIS IS WHY THIS FUCKING HOMO COUNTRY SUCKS!!!!

OR ALL OF THESE FUCKING SCANDINAVIAN PUSSY COUNTRIES!!

    CUNT MOTHERFUCKERS!!!!!!

THERE IS A REASON WHY EVERYFUCKINGBODY HATES US!!!

    You are an idiot.

  14. Slash probably abused her, you'd be surprised by how many rock stars and actors become abusive as their egos grow. But most of the time they do it in private and fans don't have any knowledge of it.

I don't condone abuse but when you're somebody like Axl Rose and have a reputation for this type of thing, it's stupid to hit someone - woman or man - let alone do it in public.

  15. Erh... I don't know, this sounds a bit too weird for me. Biting a police-officer? I mean, come on... I know it's Axl, but stilll. I hope this is not true, I thought Axl had matured just a tiny bit.

What kind of paper is Aftonbladet? A lot of newspapers would print anything sensational, true or not, just to gain some attention.

    From a poster on HTGTH:

t looks true, that newspaper is one of swedens biggest ones... He got in an argument with a female employee 07:30 in the morning at the hotel, and when security arrived he bit one of the guards or something..
  16. If there IS a reunion at some time in the future (and I think eventually we will see at least a one-time performance with them all again), I can guarantee Izzy would be the one to connect the dots. He's played with Adler, VR and "New" GN'R within the past few years. Really cool guy - and humble enough that he'd allow himself to be credited as a "special guest" while performing material he helped write and record.
