Terrible song. Maybe the worst song I know that has achieved commercial success.
But Wunter Slaush saves it this time.

Here's an interesting video from the press conference. Noel explains the split:

"Noel Gallagher´s High Flying Birds" will be released on October 17.
Noel Gallagher's debut solo album will be called Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds and released on 17 October 2011. Speaking at a London press conference today, Gallagher remarked that the album didn't contain any guitar solos until track six, and "isn't a Guitar Hero album".
He also added, "Only two tracks have guitar solos and I didn't play one of them."
A second, "far out" album is already in the can, the result of "a continued collaboration with the Amorphous Androgynous". It will be a companion to the first record and released in 2012.
Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds is also the name of his new band, and they are set to tour this autumn, with the first show in Dublin on 23 October. The touring line-up contains former Zutons bassist Russell Pritchard. Gallagher has also confirmed that Oasis songs will definitely feature in the High Flying Birds' setlist.
Tracklist:
'Everybody's On The Run'
'Dream On'
'If I Had A Gun'
'The Death Of You And Me'
'(I Wanna Live In A Dream In My) Record Machine'
'AKA...What A Life!'
'Solider Boys And Jesus Freaks'
'AKA...Broken Arrow'
'(Stranded On) The Wrong Beach'
'Stop The Clocks'

Maybe this isn't 100% "electro", but... It's fucking great.

This is one of the best versions of KOHD

The timing at 05:35 bothers me every time i listen to it:
This, along with the above, is one of the best songs ever recorded, but the solo at 01:25 sounds so random it hurts. As if he is constantly trying to hit the right notes, but fails:

It's hard to tell if these are actually mistakes or not, but they bother me every time I listen to them... Have you found similar mistakes in other songs?

I've seen them twice:
Roskilde Festival, Denmark, 2006
Aalborg, Denmark, 2010

Tiësto played this when I saw him last Saturday. Fucking great imo.

This shit is going to hit the fan.

I love both albums and bands, but "(What's the Story) Morning Glory?" will always stand out as one of the best albums ever made imo.

For everyone arguing about whether or not it was moral to be posted here; it's public on her Facebook page. I'm not friends with her, and I can still view it.
On topic, it's a funny picture and it's nice to see the lighter side of Axl for a change.
Fair point, nice to see Axl's piano too. It looks amazing. How much do those pianos retail for in the US?? I'm guessing circa $15,000?? If not more?
No, I'd guess $10,000 max. It is, after all, ONLY a baby grand piano...
$89,378

rock n roll is what goes on after school, not during.

He had a cool voice back then. This version is great too:

Half of the audience is filming the performance on their crappy phones... For fucks sake, it is on Jimmy Kimmel Live, it's being filmed by professionals. I know I wouldn't want to see a Rammstein concert through an iPhone.
Btw, has their flamethrower-mask gimmick never gone wrong? It looks awesome but dangerous as hell. Literally...

I just saw a documentry on the Sex Pistols. I dig their music but why do so many people dig Sid? He couldn't play his bass and was just a drug addict who did little for anything. The band would have been better off not having anything to do with him
True. He was indeed quite a character, but only because he was so fucked up.
I guess, when you talk about Sid, you have to do it from a not-music-wise perspective. The terms "live fast, die young" and "punk" in general was what he was all about, and that's probably what fascinates so many people.

anyone else a Bad Religion fan in here? Pretty much anything they did in the 80s or 90s is awesome. No Control and Stranger than Fiction are the best imo.
I only know two of their songs, but I'll see them at this years Roskilde Festival so I'll definitely give those two albums a listen then.
-
Has anyone also noticed how that Vaccines song is just The KKK Took My Baby Away?
YES! I think about it everytime it's on the radio. It's almost criminal so much they sound alike.
-
It's not really underrated among fans is it? I always see it mentioned as an all time favorite on these boards, and I totally agree on that.
But honestly, apart from the 6-7 hits UYI had, pretty much the rest of the songs are underrated to the common music fan.

"Joey: You're a drunk!
Marky: You are a drunk.
Joey: He wears a wig he's bald.
Marky: You're bald."
It's a little sad to hear how bad the feelings were between them, but also very funny. Joey is hillarious.
