Master of Puppets / Ride the Lightning

This is so good it hurts. Minimalistic rock n' roll at it's finest in this day and age:
-
Richard can play the role of Izzy and then himself in the later years
Adrien Brody should play 4tus

What are some of your favorite performances by any band? Please share!
I can watch this forever and never get tired of it:
The charisma these two guys have is amazing. Two of the most talented singers ever. And kinda underrated today compared to many other 60's/70's rock and pop artists. Art's smoking voice sounds so great here...
This next one just shows how awesome The Beach Boys were live. A lot more rockin' than on the studio recording. Mostly because of the late, great Dennis Wilson on the drumz:
-
Axl handled that great. It would be kinda funny if the security guys (and Fernando? Isn't it him?) tackled Bumble too as they tried to get the fan. I would love to see Axl's reaction to that.
It would suck for Bumble though.

Might get lit up over this, but I think it's The Stone Roses debut. Do not get the collective orgasm over this record.
+1
The Stone Roses overrated? Yo crazy.

Cool!

Jim Carrey! Yes! Cool!

4tus's jump right at the end was the best thing that has ever been done by man.

Steven Adler on a Guns N' Roses Hall of Fame Reunion: 'My Toes Are Crossed!'
Rolling Stone interview with Adler, December 7, HERE

I have to admit, I turn up the volume when the Calvin Harris/Rihanna song comes on.
-
Where can I read the official band t-shirt rules?
-
Yes! Europe tour summer 2012 (please please)
-
He actually does look like Borat. Never noticed that.
-
This is the coolest one

No. I love Dylan and saw him earlier this month, but Dylan + Guns would just be terrible. And I think most GN'R fans would hate the way Dylan sings these days. It would be a fiasco.
I've always wanted to hear Guns cover "Maggie's Farm" though. I really think they could do a kick ass version.
-
If they have what it takes, then why hasn't it been done?
Because Axl doesn't want to make a classic GN'R sounding record.
So which version would you consider "classic?" Lies departed and evolved from AFD by including some acoustic material,UYI's evolved once again and departed from AFD,TSI was the weakest link, although there are some good tracks on it,and Chinese Democracy evolved again.
Blues-based sleaze can only be repeated so many times,I like the constant evolution.
I'm with you. I think the "classic GN'R sounding record" refers to the Slash-period in general. After TSI, Slash wanted to make another blues based rock n' roll record (later became Snakepit) and Axl didn't. He obviously wanted to evolve which is only a positive thing. CD did not sound anything like "classic GN'R", because Axl didn't want it to.

Wow. What is it? Something buddhistic?
-
That was bad. They should have done a "best of the tour" dvd instead imo.
-
good shout, Elton john is a mega star, as big as the above three imo
He doesn't have the "t-shirt" appeal of Elvis, Dylan, or Hendrix.
This is very true. Nice observation.

The first person who will put this up on youtube gets a prize.

Just got tickets to see them when they come to Denmark later this year. Simply can't wait...

Two of my favorite songs from them. Even the fact that Brown can't stay in tune just adds to the greatness of it all. And he sounds much better than on many other live recordings out there...
