  1. This was just sad :(

I wonder what he sees in the crowd at 00.15? He seems so hurt by whatever it was.

I think he was looking at the prompter for the lyrics. With the downpour of rain prior to GNR taking the stage leading to various equipment problems (guitar tones off, pyro going off at wrong times, stage flooded, etc), Axl looked for the lyrics to that final part of the song & didn't see them.

That look was "Oh shit...don't know the lyrics."

Happens to all singers at one point or another.

  2. If Axl was there, the attacker would have gone after Axl instead for lack of music!

Remember Axl being robbed last year in Paris by someone. He wasn't assasulted tho.

  3. Just bought my VIP tickets. Seating all says general admission.

Still not sure if the concert will be in the AT&T Center or the Grounds. The official website says the grounds. SA Spurs should be in the playoffs at this time so maybe the concert will be outdoors.

Ticketmaster is always annoying...asked for parking pass but I thought the VIP tickets included that for the $100 price tag.

    G N'Fn R in San Antonio!

  4. Fuckin fantastic to see Axl, thought he was hilarious.

Jimmy Kimmel sucked and should be shamed as a journalist for that interview, god awful.

Who the hell said Jimmy Kimmel was a fuckin "jounalist"? He is a comedian and a late nite entertainer. His shows are funny and basically 30 minute commercials for all types of celebrities. Slash has been doing them for years. See his book tour.

Fernando's twitter has a disturbing background picture. I guess it is his daughter but something very awkard about a nearly naked picture of your young daughter.

  6. Say what you will about DJ compared to Richard and Ron (as I am a fan of all three distinitive styles), but DJ is the ONLY member of the current band to write & play two new GNR songs (Ballad of Death / Mi Amor). I love both solo pieces by DJ over Richard's and Ron's cover songs if only b/c it is original music. Great renditions of those cover songs (very cool that Ron released an official version & tabs), but I really don't want to hear those songs for a fourth year on tour. At least DJ can choose either song on any show.

Don't be surpirsed if DJ has another new song for his solo for the upcoming European shows.

  7. His technique and playing is awesome. Also, great song for GNR. He is the ONLY member to write new songs for the band the past 3 years. If only Axl would pen some lyrics...

The only thing off about this performance is the sound. I'm no guiter expert, but either his distortion is wrong or he is playing the song in a different key b/c it sounds different from the live versions we've heard.

  8. In regards to the article, in reference to "9Not a fan of 'fans': Last year he kicked a fan out a show at Vancouver's Pacific Coliseum by saying: "Out, motherfucker! Out! Get the fuck out! Yea, you! See ya, you dumb motherfucker." We're pretty sure it wasn't his mother."

I can't be sure, but knowing Axl, he threw out a fan who was being unruley or trouble. He doesn't throw out fans just because. The author shouldn't have run out of reasons, but apparently made some up to round out the list

  9. Lame attempt at damage control from the "camp" and proof positive that they keep Axl in a bubble of misinformative. At least I hope it is that because otherwise it only confirms that he has lost his fuckin marbles. His own facebook page should be enough for him to gauge the vicious backlash against his decision

This letter was addressed to Guns N' Roses fans, not whiny cunts and ranting hair metal past-dwellers desperate for 1987 to come back. The majority of Guns N' Roses fans - and by that I mean fans of Guns in the present - were overwhelmingly supportive of Axl's decision.

Probably the most truthful post I've read on MyGNR. unfortunately, some don't understand this.

  10. It's interesting that there is so little criticism of Izzy. He didn't show up "for the fans" either but it's Axl taking all the crap. Axl even gave an explanation, whether you accept it or not, as to why it would be in best interest to miss it. Izzy didn't. He would have just had to show up, shake some hands and accept an award, right? You know -- for the fans.

it's because Axl was an over-the-top dickface about the whole thing. Izzy wrote a really "cool" letter of thanks to the band, the fans, and the hall... Axl, on the other hand, basically said "fuck you" to the entire world.

I've been a huge fan of GNR since the late 1980s, but I have to say that I've honestly lost a lot of respect for Axl for the way that he handled things here. I could care less that he went to the induction, but it's just his attitude here. seeing how the other GNR guys handled this entire thing (including adler and sorum, who should be bitter enemies) really drove this point home for me.

Ignore the fued with Slash for the moment. Or the fact that it was an attempt at a reunion of the original band.

Why should Axl show up after the "jabs by former members" (Adler) calling his current friends/bandmates "hacks" and then "scabs"? After that stuff from Adler, why would Axl show up and sing with Adler behind him? Let Adler dump on you and your work for the past 15 years but then sing & pretend to be happy at the HOF?

If for only that reason, Axl shouldn't have gone. And Adler was wrong - scabs are not brought in when the original members quit or are fired.

  11. Cause if he would have showed up and played with the band it would be devestating; Axl singing with his Mickey Mouse voice would be VMA's all over again and it would harm the legency of the old GN'R.

    Fully agree.

He would have showed up late most likely, and then wouldn't have his hour to two hours "warm up". No effort or rehearsal would have guanarteed a horrible vocal performance.

  12. Apparently, Duff, Slash, Adler, Sorum didn't do the red carpet either. No backstage press conferenceeither except for a middle finger by Slash.

Take the award and spotlight, but don't any questions for the fans.

Biggest joke in tis whole thing has been "its for the fans". Anything but.

Oh my God - you are grasping at straws so fucking hard.

Your hero is a tool that doesn't care about you - get over it.

How is that grasping at straws? They avoided the fans and press all nite. Yet we hear Adler, Slash, and Duff say they are there for the fans. Just stating the obvious. They take the spotlight no problem. But the heat? Nah.

    ...what heat?

As mentioned above. All the questions would have been about Axl and a reunion. What happened? Did you call Axl? Why isn;t Izzy here? Why no meniton of CD? What do you think of the current band? You know...questions since they left the band so many years ago.

They setup the whole nite for their benefit. Good for them. Bad for us.

If Axl would have went that would have been avoided you fool.

The members in attendance were courteous enough to *not* make Axl look worse through interviews - he already looks bad enough.

Name calling? Just because I have a different opinion than you?

Hey, if Slash, Duff, & the rest wanted to avoid the Axl questions, they could simply say "Wish he was here, but I understand he wants to avoid the reunion questions with the current lineup of GNR". Just say it once and move on. Score more points for them and give Axl his space.

  13. I expect he will rant about it but it will be the usual world is out to get Axl kind of shit, blame everyone else etc etc

The usual blabbing of a tortured soul. Have you seen the video's page on the GN'R website:

    http://gunsnroses.com/media/videos/19832

12 videos. 8 of them choose stills feat. Axl. 'it's all about me!' - Axl Rose

    There's no sign of a band :D

The videos are links to YouTube videos. They don't choose the stills - YouTube programming does.

YouTube offers the option to choose what still to use.

If you are the original uploader. Those videos are from VEVO - the professional music video player. GNR does not control those videos.
