BFMV are metalcore. You can say Green Day are emo all you want, but they're not gonna change into emo all of a sudden. Screamo is generally more depressing and heavier than BFMV.

I do like Greenday, but it's a shame when people won't give music a chance because of it's genre

I know that Bullet for my Valentine scream a lot, I was unlucky enough to catch them twice at the GNR concerts, the wrong band to support them in my opinion

As much as I hate the term and don't use it at all myself I do believe it's generaly self-pity inspired rock that is actualy pure marketing directed at insecure kids who are having a hard time dealing with puberty.

I'm confused ....can someone please, please tell me what Emo music is, what they listen to etc, there are loads of kids where I live calling themselves Emo's but everyone has a different opinion of what they are into. Can someone please clarify this for me just so I know.

You should get ATLiens, I had my doubts on it since I rarely listen to rap but now I love Outkast.

Tracks like Two Dope Boyz (In a Cadillac), Jazzy Belle, Babylon etc. are just plain wicked.

I guess it's like every type of music, you get good and bad in each, rap has probably been spoiled by the commercialism that surrounds it, and everyone trying to break into the genre because it's popular. Also that type of music gets too much airplay (imo) so people get sick of it!
