Probably Axl's vocal heydays are over and gone and he should start adapting his tone to his voice current capacities. He's got such a strong lower tone that he should just start exploring more than just going for the cringeworthy stuff he's been doing of lately...

As long as Axl keeps on touring Gn'R Greatest Hits with Slash and Duff, life is good. A new record to me sounds a bit like a mirage in the desert to be honest. But one can never underestimate what goes on Axl's idiosyncratic mind....
-
Slash's playing style doesn't really fit imo most CD songs... And Axl knows that, otherwise he'd already be re-recording some CD2 stuff with Slash & Duff.
-
One thing's certain, Axl still wants do some more money grabbing 'Greatest Hits' tour (maybe another Vegas residency too) and I'll be right there in the queue to get my ticket.
About new music I'm pretty sure that Axl doesn't like the idea of sharing credits w/Slash & Duff some re-recording of CD2 materials... Just sayin...

I can't help but see the connection between Slash's divorce and his return to Guns N' Roses.

Living legend and the one and only Mr. Dizzy fuckin'Reed! Loyal to the bone to his master. Respect.

Slash is GOD! Bless him for keeping on putting out new material out there. Feeling very pumped already!

Steven why...? Jeez....

Would Axl's voice have improved if he had been less bloated like he was in early '16 at the first shows? I honestly believe so... But there's little hope for that now as he grows older. It's so sad and pathetic to see people getting older and using that as an excuse to just let themselves go... Oh well.

It's not really comparable. Jon hasn't sounded like himself since 2002 at the earliest. Other than a few performances or concerts in the last decade or so, his raspy powerful voice from the 90's has been nonexistent. Trust me, as a Bon Jovi fan, I would know.
Whereas Axl Rose, just 8 years ago, had a strong powerful voice. It was full of rasp and power, his energy on stage was high, and he was in better shape and IMO was the last time he looked like Axl Rose. Every since Rock N Rio 2011 he was a completely different person IMO with little drive and hardly any passion. Were their good performances here and there, yes. But, they added more classic songs like Estranged and Civil War, dropped Chinese Democracy songs like If The World and IRS. Axl gained significant weight and started to look more like Elvis is the 70's than the Axl Rose only from 2010 that was in better shape and with more passion. IMO, something happened between the last show in 2010 and RNR 2011 that changed Axl.
People can compare the 80's singers to Axl Rose, but the problem is a lot of the 80's singers lost their voice a long time ago. Vince Neil hasn't sounded good live in 20 years, the fact that were comparing Axl Rose to Vince Neil (who was not a great singer to begin with) is astounding. I like how people only compare him to bad singers, and not singers like Bruce Springsteen, Steven Tyler, David Coverdale, Kenny Loggins, Richard Marx who still sound good after 30 years.
True for the most part, but then again back in 2012 this 'rasp overload' took place for the entire Philly show... How do you explain that?

At the end of the day, truth is, aging's a bitch and Axl is still a great f@ckin rock singer at his age! His vocals are way past his heyday but he still pulls a great overall show. Respect!
So you better stop bitchin'you double-talking jives mf's!

My theory is he’s saving his voice for Angus and or Recording. I know he can still do it, he’s just choosing not to harm his voice... he said so in the China Exchange? Video
Could be. But Axl's voice/rasp inconsistency is just very odd. Like back in '12 where his vocals were usually not that great and then all the sudden he goes bezerk on the Philly show and rasps the f@ck out of it!
-
Wouldn't it be grand if Axl could bring back '10 vocals and general physical shape? What's sad is that if really wanted to he could still probably do it...

Adler should be there with Izzy getting interviewed, the rebel Gn'R hacks.
On a serious note, hopefully we'll have the NITLT '19 announced.
-
My perfect setlist: current one without so many covers and few more UYI songs suited for Axl's current vocals like Bad Obsession and The Garden.
-
Without Fernando (& err...Paul Tobias) there'd be no Gn'R new or old or both. Respect.

Is it Constantine Maroulis?!
I kid, I kid!BTW he beats the crap if a young Axl Rose, according to Mr. 'popcorn' Adler.
As for the interview it was EPIC - thanks Sid!! Loved listening to it and getting to know better Andry Anderson as a person.

Adler just gives himself too damn much importance! And btw he should be used by now being disposed, after getting his ass fired back in the day. Just sayin...
I'm sure Axl will dedicate either DTJ or Sorry to him in the next NITLT tour.

As frustrating as it is for me also for not getting a new 'reunion' Gn'R album anytime soon, truth is that with Gn'R as most old successful bands 90% of the people attending the shows just wanna watch the 'greatest hits' being played. And Axl delivers on that.

Great job! Congrats!!

Congrats!! Amazing job!!
Why not think about a DVD project from arguably the best '17 NITLT show - LA Forum...?

There's a new festival this year in Rio, same place. Zytrons . Why wait for 2019! Maybe Axl will be prepared this time.

As far as I'm concerned I'll be very happy to see Gn'R keep on touring 'indefinitely' - I feel blessed just to have the chance to watch Axl, Slash & Duff sharing the stage one more time.
