Crazy stat nobody will care about. At the end of this year U2 will likely gross between 300 - 350 million on the Joshua Tree 2017 tour(51 shows)
I feel like GnR will break the all time record because they will just keep touring under the same tour name until the pass everyone. GnR will probably tour for 2-3 more years under this name. They don't seem to have any interest in doing anything else so...

The new posters look badass. Not sure about the behind the scenes thing. It was ok but not as cool as the behind the scenes footage they gave us for TFA. I just hope The Last Jedi does something new, exciting and surprising. I was fine with TFA being a reboot and take heavily from the original trilogy but they can't keep on that path.
As for spin off, I was never a fan of the idea of a Han Solo movie. It's pointless and nobody wanted this. Now it sounds like it's turning into a mess but I'm glad the directors got fired given what the direction of the movie seemed to be. If you buy into the reports that it was turning into some slap stick comedy. Fuck that would've been horrible. I wish they'd cancel this movie but at the very least push it back to 2019 so they do it properly.
I really think a Kenobi vs Vader type trilogy would work incredibly well. Obi-Wan could be the main character and it could focus more on his trying to salvage what's left of the Jedi while remaining elusive to Vader. The side story could obviously be the Empire taking over the galaxy in a more evil and take no prisoners way now that the Jedi council had fallen apart and Palpatine has full control. You could ahve Yoda and Obi-Wan on Dagobah, you could have Obi-Wan on Tattooine and what not. All the while Vader and the Emperor are killing the remaining Jedi in the galaxy.
The final movie in the trilogy could be "The Jedi Purge" where they are finally all wiped out except Obi-Wan(Yoda still hiding on Dagobah). You could have a rematch between Vader and Obi-Wan that ends in basically a draw. You'd rewrite the battle between them in A New Hope by doing this though because the dialogue in that fight would then be refering to this second battle between them and not necessarily the one in Revenge of the Sith. I'd be perfectly happy with that.
Anyways I think a Kenobi trilogy would work really well, as long as Vader was a constant presence in the trilogy. He doesn't have to be the main guy but his presence always there in the back ground. It would lead to the second battle between the two. Then A New Hope would be the third and the cycle would be complete.
Kenobi Trilogy:
Episode I: Fallen Jedi
Episode II: Rise of the Empire
Episode III: The Jedi Purge

I really liked the fact that the action scenes were limited and the focus was primarily on character and dialogue.

Just got back from the cinema. It was absolutely terrible.
How is that even possible? I mean I could see if someone thought meh it was ok but not great, but to say it was absolutely terrible really makes zero sense to me.

I saw it tonight. I thought it was fucking awesome. Such a perfect way to wrap up the trilogy. Like appetite4illusions said much of the film feels completely hopeless but unlike him I felt that was the perfect tone for this movie. It had to feel that way. It raised the stakes and made it feel like you weren't exactly sure how it was going to end. Also as bad/evil or crazy as Woody Harelson's character comes across in trailers and the movie keeps that aspect in tact but oddly you sympathize with him and do understand why he's doing what he's doing. This was the perfect end to the trilogy. I'm more than happy with it.

Best promo work of the week: Connor McGregor. He's on fire at those live events vs Mayweather.
meh. It's not that good. He needs to work on cutting a proper promo without every second word being bitch or pussy. He made a few funny one liner jokes but other than that it's all pretty lame as far as promo work goes in my opinion. I mean he's hyping the fight because everyone gets sucked in by a guy calling another guy a bitch so i that sense he's doing his job but it's not classic "cutting a promo" stuff that's for sure.

As much as I agree on Del Rio, in fairness all the leaked sextape stuff was from before she got with him. I'm obviously against physical abuse, but the girl was clearly already a mess before she got with him.
Oh for sure but everything has spiraled out of control since she got with him. It looked from the outside to be a horrible match and apparently it is. The sex tape stuff... meh. So she had sex and filmed it and thens ome fucking douche leaked it for all to see. Pretty sure there's millions of girls who have been filmed doing the same shit and worse. People and their fuckig phones these days haha!

Del Rio/El Patron indefinitely suspended by GFW Impact pending allegations that he's been beating Paige; see TMZ for the full details. He won't be edited out of the shows they just taped, but they're pretty noncommittal on whether he'll be stripped of the title at the next set of tapings. I thought he was a great choice to hold the strap for GFW right now until this, but holy hell is he out of control. He's lost me now. What a disaster.
He just looks like a guy who would be abusive. I'm not surprised at all by this. Hopefully Paige snaps the fuck out of it, ditches that guy and gets her shit together. It's been all down hill since she hooked up with him. Not saying she's a saint cause she's probably a mess herself but holy fucking hell. It was an odd couple to begin with and always seemed shady. End it and move on to bigger and better things.

I'm a fan of Izzy who bailed out about a day before filming began on the first of those videos ('Don't Cry'). I do not believe Slash and Duff were overly pleased with the direction the band took on those videos either, although they went along with it at the time.
You're NOT a fan of Axl Rose but you love Guns N Roses? So nothing about what he does is enjoyable for you? That's like those who say they're not a fan of Slash but love Guns N Roses. We're all fans of everyone who was in the band back then. It's why we're fans of Guns N Roses. It would be like me saying I'm not a fan of Bono but I love U2. It's simply not possible. And let's be real you are not a Guns N Roses fan because of Izzy. You might be an Izzy fan but that's not why you love Guns N' Roses. He left and you were still a GnR fan. Izzy is cool but he's not the reason anyone became a fan of GnR and until anyone read liner notes nobody really knew what his contributions were. You can listen to GnR and know exactly what Axl and Slash bring and we're all fans of that. Also who cares if Duff and Slash were happy with the direction the videos were going or not. It doubt it was because they didn't like the creativity. It's more likely because they were drunk, high, and burnt out and didn't understand what they were going for and probably hated the long days of filming. I'd be interested to hear their takes now on the final product. I don't base my opinion on the videos based on what Slash and Duff thought or even what Axl thinks and their opinions don't make the opinions of anyone who thinks the videos are horrible more valid.
The videos are enjoyable to watch. The fact November Rain has more views on youtube than any other rock song ever written kinda suggests more people feel that way than not.- 5

It is amazing because I do believe it's the most viewed rock song on youtube.
35 minutes ago, DieselDaisy said:The video is horrendous. Pompous bloated egotism at its worst. The entire trilogy stinks.
Bullshit. Such a cliche, boring opinion. Those videos may be all those things but that's what made and still makes them great. They were different, they were fun and they tell a story(of sorts). Just because Kurt Cobain came along and decided to mock the outlandish and over the top world of everything to do with rock bands at the time and brain wash a bunch of teenagers into thinking being grand and over the top was uncool, this cliche opinion that the trilogy of videos suck because of such reasons has festered over time. Those videos are enjoyable to watch back then, they're enjoyable to watch today and they are better than most music videos though out music video history. You can't be a fan of Axl Rose and then use "pompous, bloated egotism at it's worst" to say the videos suck. The videos are EVERYTHING Axl. If it wasn't for that we'd have a trilogy of videos exactly the same as Jungle, PC and SCOM.

After reading this thread again I can't help but laugh at those who say Axl for sure because if he was a solo artist he's have so much more freedom to do whatever he wants. As if to suggest now suddenly the GnR name is a burden to Axl. Like it's this weight on his shoulders that has stiffled his creativity and if he could just shed the Guns N Roses name he'd suddenly become this insane creative force delivering the most incredible new music the world has ever heard, putting on shows that would blow our minds. It's like for all the years people defended Axl saying he IS in fact Guns N Roses they're now saying if only he wasn't Guns N Roses then we'd get to see the real genius that is Axl Rose.
Gimme a break. Regardless of who the singer was the combination of Slash, Duff, Izzy and Steven would absolutely blow Axl outta the water. Anyone who chose the Axl "solo" show over Guns N Roses would be severely disappointed afterwards.- 1

Slash, Duff, Izzy and Steven all day every day. Why? Because it would, without question be a way better show and performance.

The original 5 has no appeal to me anymore other than for curiosity sake. I probably wouldn't pay anything at this point. The only way I'd pay now to see GnR is if I happened to be in the same city at the time they were playing a show and even then I might not go. The original 5 has been absolutely tainted in terms of a touring draw in my opinion. having ti happen now wouldn't really change anything. Izzy has played with Axl and with the other guys enough over the years and Steven has played on this tour so to see all 5 together now wouldn't be all that special. Would it be cool? Sure but I can't see why anyone would pay extraordinary amounts of money for it now.

Does anyone know her age?
Searched and it is IMPOSSIBLE to find
From the level of internet scrubbing it seems like she makes sure it is nowhere to be found
Are you new to the internet? I typed in Melissa Reese age and it comes up instantly that she's 32. Born March 1, 1985. Our definition of "IMPOSSIBLE" must be very different.

Axl does that.
Nah he doesn't. It's a big massive horn sound that she clearly cues. You're thinking of his little train whistle he blew back in the 90s.

I haven't seen it but was thinking of going tonight based on the overwhelming positive feedback I've heard online. I know though that it won't meet those expectations. My guess is I'll watch it, roll my eyes a lot and think it was just ok. I've heard some people saying best movie of the year so far. I can't see it.

She adds absolutely nothing to the band. In fact you could remove her completely and it would probably be better. She looks ridiculous jumping around acting like she's rockin out to Nightrain as if she's adding anything of value to the performance whatsoever. Oh sorry she makes the train horn go at the beginning. Honestly she's completely useless. It's mind blowing she's actually in Guns N Roses.

Meh, I just see it as disrespectful to the highest office in the country they all live in. If they can't respect that, what can they respect? .
Trump has done more to disrespect and discredit the office than arguably anyone ever. He's a disgrace and has become a laughing stock of the world. He's desecrated the office to an alarming degree yet people like you continually bitch about others "disrespecting the office". How can you whine about GnR so called disrespecting the office yet stand firmly in Trump's corner as if he's America's saviour and an example of integrity, dignity and class? It's fucking laughable. If you wanna be pissed off at anyone for disrespecting the office get pisse doff at Trump cause he's trashed the integrity of what it means to be President of the United States of America.
Having said that, GnR's actions are pretty pathetic and immature. There are much better and more productive and positive ways to express your disgust with Trump than creating a mob style lynching on stage.- 3

Politics has no place in the entertainment industry. Entertainers need to just entertain and not push their political views on anyone, including the impressionable youth.

Newsflash but politics and entertainment have gone hand in hand since the beginning of time. You just crawl out from under a rock or what? Rock n' Roll has ALWAYS had a political edge to it. If you're not bright enough to know and see that, then there's not much anyone can do to help ya.

Was blessed by Pope John Paul II
Met Matt Damon in LA when I randomly saw him and asked him for directions
Met Vanilla Ice in an airport when he randomly asked me for directions
had drinks one night for about an hour in a bar with the guys from the band Moist.
I've met and coached with countless NHL players
Met Chris Jericho at the AXL/DC show in New York
Not much of a celebrity hound to be honest. I've never aspired to meet anyone and don't really care if I do or don't. I'll never put in an effort to meet a celebrity but if it happens organically that's cool.

Not in this lifetime tour is 9th biggest tour ever
in GUNS N' ROSES - DISCUSSION & NEWS
Posted · Edited by Bono
Right. It's the first real GnR tour since 1993. That isn't a detractor. That's a massive positive in terms of marketing and promoting a tour. People want to see Guns N' Roses because we haven't had Guns N ' Roses since 1993. It's why people are going to the shows. This idea that Guns N' Roses is at a disadvantage because they haven't toured in so long is opposite of what's true. This tour is massively appealing to people because GnR hasn't toured all these years.
Also I'm curious, does GnR not have old fans and did they not get any new fans ever? Who's going to the shows then?
