A while back when I only used to post on the message board I posted the exact same question. It got loads of replies just like it has here. I've never been able to come up with one specific lyric or line that I think is the best but I do think that Axl wrote the truest lyric of all time as simple as it is. "Loves' so strange" from Locomotive, over and over again. What else has ever held more truth to it? My favorite lyric of all time for me is " Why does it come as a surprise, to think that I was so naive. Maybe didn't mean that much but it ment everything to me" form Nine Inch Nails' song That's What I Get. I guess not so much by the lyrical genius but just by the way it is sung. Also it's applied to me more than once.
