Weird how you ranked the albums alot higher on average yet you ranked Pablo(my 2nd fav) way low. Interesting. I think that O.K. Computer is their most overrated album and Kid A is likely the most underrated.

Nine Inch Nails have one great album(Prett Hate), 2 good albums(Downward and Fragile) and two throw away albums(Broken and Fixed) the live album is cool and they have some remix of Downward Spiral but who cares it sucked.

Radiohead has 6 completely amazing albums. Radiohead is the better band in myn opinion. Actually it isn't even close for me.

This has maybe with you Bono with U2 as your Nr. 1 band of all time... but.. I mean it's quite oppisite... Queen has some timeless song... (U2 too by all means) but Freddie Mercury is MAYBE the greatest rock singer of all time...

True I may be a little biased towards U2 but in all honesty I feel that U2 will be and are regarded as a more classic band than Queen. Please don''t anyone think for a second that I have any disrespect for Queen in any way, but the thread is a Queen vs U2 question and I honestly feel that Queen does not measure up to U2. Queens songs do tend to sound a little dated in comparison to U2's music. Queen was huge. enormous, gigantic but U2 is by far the biggest band of our(25 and under) time. And as far as depth to the songs U2's songs are much deeper. Queen is awesome but they are no U2.

Hmmmm.. Queen is an Epic band but really they are nothing compared to U2. Sure they both have great and timeless songs, but U2's classics far out way Queen's. No disrespect to Queen but they are simnply not in the same class as U2. When all is said and done I believe U2 will be up there with The Stones and The Beatles(maybe I'm a little optimistic) and Queen will run with the likes of Sabbath and Zepplin. No shame in that just not in the same realm that's all. U2 are like Kings of the music world, where as Queen are like the knights. That's my opinion.

I totally dig No Doubt. Gwen is an awesome frontwoman. Greta voice. She's got a solo album coming out pretty soon. I think they'd be better though if they were a little mopre rock. The ska thing is old and the new 80's vibe is o.k but they should crank it up a bit and see what they can do. Also Gwen needs to let loose with her voice more like she did in the old days. Open the Gate is a good example of how she used to wail away. I like Excuse Me Mr. too

Here's why;

Van Halen used more pop synth effects than Bon Jovi ever has. Van Halen's music sounds alot more dated than Bon Jovi's. Never in my five years as a DJ have I had a request for Van Halen. Though quite often get requests for "older" Bon Jovi. Livin' On A Prayer, You Give Love..., Wanted Dead or Alive, I'll Be There for You, Runaway. Those are just a few. Shit even It's My Life people request. That's why I pick Bon Jovi over Van halen. Van halen has always sounded weak to me. I like Bon Jovi better. A whole lot better actually. I'd even go as far as saying I don't like Van Halen at all. That's me though.

I picked Bon Jovi. Also here's my question why is it that Bon Jovi quite often is considered "pop metal" or "hair metal" but Van Halen is quite often refered to as classic rock? In my opinion Van Halen was much more "Pop" than Bon Jovi. Van Halen always seemd "light weight"(to steal a phrase from Madison) to me. I think Bon Jovi rocks much harder than VH. Bono, back to your original topic. There is no question really that the U2 album will surface eventually. They are still a band. As far as Chinese Democracy, I don't think we'll ever see it. Not after the horrid vma's and the aborted tour. I hope I'm wrong, but I don't think gnr have done shit since the tour ended. Another year is about to go by.

I hope you're wrong. I mean I think it'd be better if Guns album came first becasue that would mean it would come out within the year at the very latest. I have to think that the album must be ready to come out. What with all the tour rumors and festivals. then again they're all rumors right now except RIR4. And even that isn't a sure thing in the Gn'R world.

O.k then. So which album do you think will come out first.

I'm wondering which one we will see first. What do you guys think. U2 is rumored to have a single out in January and a possible album by March. Do you think we'll have anything from Axl and Co. by then. I hope so. Man what a trip it would be if Guns and U2 released albums in the same month or week or even day.

By the way U2's new album is said to be their first "guitar" album. Both Bono and The Edge have said it will be very guitar driving. But who knows.

rock music drives me nuts. 98% of anything close to Nu Metal sucks ass. All the modern rock sucks my ass. You know things are bad when I'd rather listen to Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears(making music) then the popular rock bands like Nickleback and all that shit.
