  1. The big travesty here is not the neglect of Texas or Arizona, but of Alaska. Axl, if you don't come up here, then no oil for you!!

ya but there are single cities in arizona and texas that have the same population as the entire state of alaska. :drevil: texas has at least 4 good sized cities and a couple more that would work if we are going by some of the other places booked.

  2. i am looking to go to this one. i'm about 75% sure I am going to be there. Its just a few hours from Cleveland right? I'll defintley be at the cleveland gig and if i can get to detroit quick enough i'm there.

  3. And what you call butchering is robin playing the songs THE WAY HE FUCKING PLAYS THEM. He is the lead guitarist in the band, he can play them how he wishes. I prefer him to do it his own way.

Fortus does great on his, Thal does great on most of his, although I wish he'd work on Better and IRS to sound more like what Buckethead did.

    Hmm..

Where did I say I didn't accept Ron Thal? I said he's great. I accept that he plays those 2 songs and any other leads he plays as the way he plays them and you wont see me bitching and whining about it every chance i get that i think bucket's parts sounded better on the demos. I have actually come to really love Ron in this band after seeing them in Vegas. I was responding to people who said they can't accept robin because they dont like 2 solos he plays. Thats a silly reason to have a musican ruined for you. And I am not appalled at the way Ron plays those 2 songs at all. Nice try tho. and cool sig man.

  4. I'm slowly learning to tune him out on certain songs...

That's your loss mate because he's fuckin' great! The guy has charisma that more than matches the old guitarists!

    nah.

you are just being gay and nitpicky

Again with the homophobic BS.

dude if i call something gay i'm saying its lame. you know what i mean.

They're my two favourite GNR solos, I need them to be played well. It's not just them, I think he messes up a lot of the solos (sometimes I think he butchers The Blues - which I happen to think is a good solo when done right, so props to him for writing it, but he still doesn't nail it everytime) and until his sucess rate with them is higher, I can't accept him. A guitarist in Guns N' Roses needs to produce higher quality every single time. I love this band, I love these songs, it's what I've come to expect. I won't accept anything less.

And I think the reason he's playing lead more than the others is for the simple fact he's been there longer and he seems to get on best with Axl. Eh, all personal opinion, but Fortus and Ron blow him the fuck away in every respect in my eyes. I don't really get why people say about stage persona etc, as Fortus easily has more and I think Ron is getting to the point of becoming a larger than life player (aswell as absolutely owning everything he plays. Ron is the future of GNR I reckon).

Like I said, he's improving, and I like him more now, but he has a long way to go.

I'm sorry but could your head be any further in your ass? Did we see the same band this year? You wont accept him? I dont think you have much choice.. I dont think Axl is going to change things around so they are how you like them. And what you call butchering is robin playing the songs THE WAY HE FUCKING PLAYS THEM. He is the lead guitarist in the band, he can play them how he wishes. I prefer him to do it his own way.

  5. The only real problem I have with him is the SCOM solo, other than that I have no issues. I do like BBF better though.

Ditto. His SCOM and NR solos kill me. If it wasn't for them, I'd be able to tolerate him a lot better. I can't help but dislike him when he plays those solos like that.

dude.. its 2 fucking solos you dont like. if thats ruining it for you, you are just being gay and nitpicky. I think he plays them amazingly well. But its all a matter of opinion and you are letting something very small get in the way of appreciating the most kick ass guitarist of the band. He's playing more of the leads than the other 2 for a reason ya know.

  6. hopefully they do add some more dates. they've neglected Arizona.. Phoenix is the 5th largest city in the country yo!

Look at the gap between the LA shows and the posponted cali shows. Theres a month there to book more dates, hopefully in the southwest!

  7. Just going to say it, but NYC fans got fucked!

you are such a fucking baby

you've been coming to this site whining like a little child who needs attention.

    i fucking hate you.

    you aren't owed shit.

if you call coming to a website to slander Axl and the band and whine like a little bitch being a diehard fan, you are more delusional then i thought.

be glad they are touring, be glad the album is coming out. shut your stupid face.

  8. I don't see how these two guys can hate each other that much after earning so much cash together and sitting in a big pile of cocaine and knee deep in strippers for so many years they can't care about whatever this little musical difference was that much. Not enough to give the audience something to remember.

its best left in the past.

We have an amazing band right now, with an all star lineup of guitarists. Its just not necessary. Izzy is a nice treat, but thats as far as it needs to go.

  9. But Im open to this bands music and thats how Ive always been, just have to take it for what it is, even if I refuse to accept it as Guns N' Roses. I'll always stand my ground on that.

nothing you say will change this from being Guns N' Roses. might as well accept it.

as for Finck, of course you were judging him on the wrong merits. He plays the old stuff well (i think it fits perfect) but who cares? The new stuff is what you should judge him on.

  10. you have to consider that half the people there are just casual music fans who know Sweet Child of Mine and Welcome to the Jungle. And then another percentage are fans of GNR who haven't been kept up to speed with the new stuff or even the lineup for that matter, and they've never heard these songs before.

In las vegas, Better, IRS, and The Blues all got a great response from the audience, and my friend who went with me couldn't believe so many people were singing along to songs he never heard and hadn't been released yet. But these were shows with a little over 1000 people in them who are mostly hardcore fans.

once the songs are released, and theres a single getting airplay on the radio, these songs will all get a much better reception.
